Archived We Need To Do Something To Keep The Community

Hello!
At this point i think many people have heard about the axe "glitching". And I succed to get something on a screenshot. Dat DMG.jpg
As you can see. I did 10 Hp with one hit. I have strength pot, axe expert and didnt vanilla crit. And he have god armor and axe resistant. How can i do 10 hp? Same with unarmed. They can 2 hit you, with a fist when u buy a god axe for 300r that deals less damage. We need to nerf the traits if we want to keep our pvp community. Same with the enderpearl delay. That when u land you cant hit people for a few seconds. This should be removed aswell. Ive heard its a part of essentials and its easy to fix in the config. But pvp needs to be fixed.

Anyone agree?

The server is occasionally laggy with some bad times. But removing part of what makes the server good is NOT the answer
 
Sorry but mcmmo does not make the server good in my opinion. And I can't see why being able to kill 20 people in a few seconds alone with skull split ever were a good thing. I simply find it hilarious and stupid :P. Now remove mcmmo and make people drop armor already.

I know one thing, i am personally against god armors and that kind of pvp. I want more plain armor pvp, and that woulden't be possible with mcmmo. I haven't pvped in a while due to these reasons, but I can imagine skull split being pretty much the same.

Anyhow, I do not feel like making this a discussion with you since it won't change a thing. So... Cya.

Skull split can only hit one extra person now.
 
Psh the Pvp community dying. Thats not happening. You have lots of stuff centered around you, fac wars, and while some stuff may be glitchy and OP at least you HAVE a GROWING community. :P no offence meant as I started a slight war in the last thread i did an argument with. :P

I question your use of the word "growing." Pvp is heavily one sided. you have to have god armor and a high mcmmo to get anywhere. It is extremely hard to grow when you're required to be on the server quite a while to be successful in PVP.

Get that, your damage will be on par with the rest of the PVP community. I guess you then need to level acrobatics and the like, but still. It isn't as hard as everyone makes it out to be.

While yes, in a cause/effect sense the blame is on them, I don't think anybody should be forced to perform such mind-numbing tasks for days on end to make any real progress in the ability to participate in an activity that many servers take for granted.

I wouldn't pvp regardless of MCMMO/plugins or not, since its just not my cup of tea, however this system does seem a bit ridiculous, especially for a minecraft server.

PvP ability should be sourced from the players ability in PvP rather than the amount of time spent grinding in a huge black pit.

Also, the reality is that many people can't/don't want to join a large faction that would have a darkroom, and wouldn't have access to one otherwise. A player shouldn't be doomed to inferior combat skills for months just because they don't want to join a huge war faction.

Small factions i know who have a darkroom are too plentiful to count. Also, i know others like me give a darkroom combo out to any allies who ask so they can train. Minea small one if really needed, only takes a few hours and yoy get a lot of minerals.

The system works, and isnt broken so doesnt need to be removed. If people put the effort they do into complaining into actually training, half the complaints would be redundant.

However, the main reason I commented (and gave you the disagree rating which I now feel mean and guilty about, I don't often use grey ratings :( I'm gonna undo it <3), is simply because this feature of the server/game, PvP, is essentially unplayable unless you have put all the allotted time and resources into a very dull activity that does not well represent the fun and excitement of this server.

I'm not saying I have any better ideas, but I feel that you should at least be able to jump into PvP at lower levels without a near certain insta-death.

The way I train is like so. 30 mins in darkroom, 30 mins alchemy, 30 mins building, 30 minutes break (can RP here if wish). Keeps the dullness out of it, and allows me to play a game of LOL during my breaks xD
 
I have a acro tower, gave it to a friend with acro, he had 750 acro in no time.
Also sharp 5 axeexpert and speed make you train easily.
I have ADD as for that I hate boring stuff, meaning I can't spend more than 30 minutes only drakrooming, wich is hillarious that I have 1k axes and 300+ swords. Just have the right stuff and the mcmmo will flow into your scoreboard
 
I think this server should make up it's mind wether it want to be rp or pvp cuz they are interfering in my opinion. A rp server with pvp aspects should certainly not have god pvp,
it's an rp server after all. By removing mcmmo and the abillity to keep armor on death i believe we can being rp aspects even into the pvp since soldiers will wear plain armor, not god armor. When people are more cautious, there will be more time for tactics and rp in the war.

GG Coming up with an idea which would annoy atleast 95% of the PvP community who have spent hours training stats in a dark room.
I think a lot of players would not like this initially, just like most major changes to the server, but after a while it would overall increase the quality of PvP. I'm certain that having plugins like McMMO on the server do cause some lag and do cause some of these PvP bugs, since it is a fairly involved plugin with lots of things going on.

by removing mcmmo and the ability to keep armor on death you would be giving people with 50 plus sets of god armor a huge advantage against others as someone in iron armor or normal diamond may as well be a zombie to me if im in god armor fully potted with a god axe

Remove MCMMO and get ready for a hate of most PVP community since they have spent shiz (pardon my french) ton of time on training and it would just be for nothing.
