How long have you been playing? Don't answer that, I don't care. Faewyn does not run the server, near as much as Monmarty or Thoruna. Of course they are RP. don't you get that this is an rp server? They are not getting into this really because they think that you, quite honestly, don't deserve to be listened to. I was not playing before Regalia you are right. Does that not speak volumes about how much higher rp is valued then pvp? You are a pvper. Few people like you. I am a roleplayer. I am already roleplay staff and climbing, hopefully. Let that speak for itself.

And no, I am not staying out of this. I believe in telling idiots that they are idiots.

Screw off already. There is a reason he is staff, and you are not.
Because he is maturely handling this conversation. Unlike you and me, he is keeping a calm mind. He's been here shorter than you have, yet he's had more experience and more TRUST FROM THE ADMINS than you or me have.

Think about it, having a conversation with only PVPers doesn't work.
Because then there isn't an opposing crowd, which makes it even for EVERY player.

Allow me to wrap my head around this...

First of all, staff members are not "biased" towards role-play. We understand both are essential parts of a community, and up to this point we attempt to have a give-and-take. We spent many months improving pvp prior to recent months where we have tried to improve rp as much as possible. And it may take your limited perspective by suprise, but not all "roleplayers" are only that. I myself mix both roleplaying and pvping. I am not an smug, arrogant "roleplayer" who thinks pvpers are beneath me, nor am I a crude, ill-mannered sack of droppings that can't represent themselves without putting someone else down to compensate for the fact they have a very small... swords skill.

My advice: People who represent themselves in only a negative light towards others, ie always putting something down and never trying to bring something up, will not be received kindly by staff. You may be here to have fun, and all power to you, but staff are here to create and stabilize a community. You don't want that? Then yeah, I guess we're biased if we don't "listen".

But we do listen. We even care, but we are not biased based on preference.

I just cant wait for the day the mighty Massivecraft closes down because of the ignorance of mon marty and the rest of the staff. The time is near. Players are declining. The basis of premium was build for the pvper and now they are pushing them ALL away. All servers have there peak and massive has reached theres and falling fast. They monmarty will realize that he is just a normal jerk like the most of us. I myself have let massive go because its just full of overpowered admins and whining babys that cry abuse if they are raided. Good riddens, cant wait to say goodbye massive!!!

Because PvP still forces itself on me, and I give shits about that. The last thing I need is for PvP to become even more powerful than it is in the face of those who don't want it and still get it shoved down their throats.

Also because I believe in being involved in things, letting "politics" happen around you without being involved is idiotic.

You have just opened Pandora's Box. Inside the spoiler are screenshots from the first month of my bank being open - and by that I mean just the time it was open during Febuary, it opened officially on Feb 18th, 2013. Warning: Massive Picture Wall

Now add to this the following details of running a bank:

• Full Financial Statements that I make up EVERY MONTH and which take about 2 hours to write up, another hour to get the information, and a shitton of time to organize it into something normal folks can read.
• Every Loan takes between 2 and 20 minutes to set up - I have literally hundreds of loans set up by now, and as many paid (which takes a whole 'nother wall of time).
• Every Saving Account takes between 2 and 20 minutes to set up.
• I need to mail EVERY loanie when their loan payment is due.
• I need to monitor stocks, silver, and player activity.

Running a Bank is a very difficult and time consuming job, and it tend to be rather inconvenient in that people want loans NOW, not when I'm able to take care of them. I have to cut off roleplays, hide during combat, or stop talking in mid-conversation to deal with these people. All in all, a lot more effort then clicking a lot in a darkroom.

Guys what I think bling and all pvpers are trying to say is, we do not really have near as much of a say as to what goes on with the server. Rpers got bloodlust and god apples removed, rpers force rp on pvpers, and after doing so take away the things that make pvp fun an unique on massivecraft. All we want is to have a bit of a say as to what goes on in pvp, and not let role players decide everything. I believe on the main site it says massivecraft is an rp PVP server.

I don't have any quarrel with wanting a voice - but what I dislike is that many pvpers seem to consider themselves superior to roleplayers simply because roleplayers don't grind in darkrooms. I don't mind raids, if they happen rarely, and I don't mind pvpers killing pvpers. It's when they raid4luls all the time that I get pissy.

I am 16. If I was 12, I would never have gotten onto the rp staff. Fine, laugh as much as you want. Mon will improve the server, and listen to logical input. pvp is an element of the game, so if it needs fixing, it will be fixed. But you want to undo all the fixing that has ever happened. This will be my last post, despite the excellent ratings they are getting. I do not have tea with senators, I am a valued acquaintance of a nobleman, but I only read his mail, not have tea with him. You want to be a nobleman of a non-safe zone, fine. Declare yourself Emperor of a castle in Ithania. That will get you killed, banned, and no one will have to deal with you ever again. And good riddance.

To milk the cash out of easily amused idiots like yourself Try and reach a logical and mutually satisfactory compromise between the "Hardcore" Pvper's and the Roleplay community as well as to provide a enjoyable pvp atmosphere for people whose ideal pvp environment isn't "Lul-Raiding" Ganking a bunch of defenseless newbies.

Here's my general two cents.
Lets talk about something that's been bugging me for awhile now. Its how people always say "Massivecraft is a Roleplay Pvp server brah,let us roleplay/pvp". Just saying guys, I think that when Massivecraft says its a "roleplay/pvp" server, it doesn't mean that you can do one or the other on the server, it means you can get a nice mixture of both. Currently there's nothing further from the truth on Massive, where you might as well make 2 separate servers in the place of one. I mean, look at the enormous divide between Pvp and Roleplay! I've made this plea before, and I'll make it again. Please guys, for the love of Aloria, work together! Listen to each other and try to get a good perspective. Try to understand the other side, then try to embrace it and combine what you love about both sides into one big delicious meal of Rp/pvp. Before you do so however, there's a slight problem with the pvp community....

Pvp community, I like you guys, I really do, but you have GOT to stop with the toxicity. Seriously, it seems like every single thread (including this one!) that you guys make just ends up in FLAMING FLAMING FLAMING. You guys are making yourselves either look like immature children or loose cannons that take any excuse they can to go off on a rant about how they're the true saving grace of the server and how we should all be kissing your 4000+ acrobatics skill boots. Speaking of which, you guys are the ones who keep putting Pvp and Roleplay into separate boxes! I'm sure if you just opened up and acted a little more kind towards the roleplay community you could get a good partnership working out! Think about it! Pvp+ Roleplay= fun for everyone! I just want to say, before you decide to leave, that PvP is still immensely powerful. As you have stated, you "saved my bank" (I would never have given bank money away anyway) and have helped me many times - how could you have done this if I, the roleplayer, was the supreme power of the world?

I never said making people deskflip was not amusing, only impractical to a server whose goal isn't to be a raid server. Which if you've seen/heard of the progression of this server you'd have seen that PVP had been progressively regulated long before I was even on this server.

This thread is full of dysfunctional people who really shouldn't be here on this server in the first place. First off, I really think that Bling was being an ass by saying that Cayorion is feeling his bank account decrease. That is a dumb statement to make, and really just insulting. I don't know if it's just the fact that you're an immature brat, or whatever, but money is a stupid thing to bring into it and something that is pretty rude and offensive in the context you used it in.

I had run into problems with the staff before - more occasions than many of you have. I decided, though, to just go on TS and talk it out with them. You often don't realize that this server's hand is being forced. If this server didn't want to grow, gain new players and premiums, and ultimately become better than it already is, I think you'd be kicked out of this party already. In fact, I think a lot of us would, maybe even myself included.

The only reason you children are still here is because the server needs your contributions and your obnoxious attitude. Making that point and bragging about it just makes you look like an annoying cunt who manipulates others whenever he wants to.

You are stupid to believe that RP owns the server, considering you said it yourself - Premiums are hitting "Cayorion's bank account" as they leave. That is a controversial statement in itself, and it is just a dumb, uneducated guess in a conflux of accusations against the staff.

As the word has been already used multiple times, perspective. Maybe the staff don't have a good idea of how much work the PvPers have to do to become good, but you probably don't have a good idea of how the staff works. This is why conversations with real, human beings on TS are usually beneficial to all, as perspectives and stories are shared, letting everybody on "one side" get a pretty nice idea of what people on the other are like.

Finally, your statement that ordinary people that don't PvP or have knowledge of it should not post or argue on this thread. They have the right to debate this, as they are a part of this as you. You are so narrow minded and selfish that you really only think of the pleasure that you get from raiding someone. Not everybody wants to fight at every moment in their life. Some want to RP, build, etc. You are preventing them from doing it and forcing PvP upon them.

If god apples are added in, the people that are poor and are new players that saw this server as a possible RP hotspot would be driven away by the impossible-to-kill harassers at their base, slaughtering them like livestock.

If bloodlust is added in, the people who don't have good computers to PvP are slaughtered due to low FPS on being able to hit them.

Think about it, and please make coherent posts next time.

I do not hate pvpers. I don't even hate morons. In fact, I like pvpers, when they're nice. I didn't mind raids back in the day when Badru existed. Hell, they were fun to be part of. But as the server grew pvpers became, how do I put this, more aggressive, less friendly, overwhelmingly powerful, and very arrogant. I don't like any of those aspects of pvpers. If you are trying to make them back into the friendly "compliment your buildings" raiders that I encountered when I first started the server then I am all for it.

The issue isn't that roleplayers hate pvp, it's that pvpers hate roleplay.

I'm sorry but after reading this thread with an avalanche of replies, you're the one that is behaving like a 12 year old, attacking anyone who disagrees with you, not even going into their reasoning, and outright denying members of the community an opinion due to the way they choose to play the game.
