Tutor
Tutors are a are a Gorr race that live in the lands of Hertus, a secluded part of Aloria. Tutor's are craftsmen and blacksmiths by trade, spending a vast amount of time in the volcanoes in the centre of their land. Despite the fact that Tutor's are distant cousins to the Orc race they are in fact a gentle folk, not looking to attack anyone unless provoked. It is said that Tutor's are partially fire proof and can grasp burning steel out of coals without pain. Tutor's are immensely strong, but because of their one eye, off of mountainous terrain they are seen as rather clumsy and destructive. In recent years Tutor's have come from their land to Regalia seeking new ideas and iron. Some have been employed by the guards to make new sturdy and light weight armour and others by other businesses for various other reasons. A Tutor is very skilled and never shy's away from a challenge... unless it involves water, they hate water.

History
The Tutors do not know where they came from. In their beliefs they were born of the earth a fire when the first volcano was made. This is why they never stray far from their home land believing the Fire Heart Mountains are in fact their birth place, and this is undisputed as Tutors are rarely seen or recorded outside of their borders. For many century the Tutors have lived in peaceful harmony only having two known disputes. One was the war of the Gorr were the Tutor's fought against and invading Orge threat. The other was called the Battle of Eye for Eye in which a Tutor tried to rise above the others and a great battle broke out, many Tutors were blinded in the encounter.
Although distant and protective, unarmed pilgrims and trades men have travelled in and out of Hertus for centuries and lived to tell the tale. One famous encounter was of a Yanar slave, who was separated from his family in Regalia. The ship he was on was struck by a storm and he washed up on the shores of Hertus alive. The Tutors called him Wet Leaf and he told them tales of Regalia. Intrigued a group of 3 males and 3 females escourted him to Regalia and his family, returning to tell their fellows. Since then Tutors have come to Regalia to see the sights.
Society
Tutors are not exactly governed, but respected individuals earn the title of Kyrios meaning master. A Kyrios is the appointed regional leader, settling disputes of land and responsible for ceremonies in their land. Female or Male Tutors can become a Kyrios and their partner receives the title too.
Politics
Each region is governed by a respected Tutor male or female called a Kyrios. In fact when a Tutor receives this title their mate will receive the title as well. A Kyrios can only become a one by receiving it from another Kyrios in the End of Spring Festival before all the male Tutors return home. Female Kyrios are often teachers of the young and leaders of the hunt. If an armed trespasser is found, it is the Kyrios who decides the punishment. Male Kyrios are teachers of the forge and master blacksmiths, often widely respected for their craft. Kyrios are settlers of credit, disputes of land a property and oversee the cermonies and judgements of their respective region.
Culture
The culture of the Tutors is based around the forges of the Fire Heart Mountains. Tutors are all about craftsmenship and black smithing only leaving the forges in the Spring. In fact any Tutor who abandons their post in the forges, without permission or declaration of a Kyrios, is seen as a deserter and are often subject to the harshest punishment, in which a Tutor is chained to a boulder near the beaches for a week and must live endure the tide.
Tutors have several ceremonies and important times of year. When a Tutor is born a male Tutor will return home for the naming ceremony called the Onoma. When a Tutor male grows his tusks over his lip, often around the age seven, it is called a Chaving and he will depart to the Fire Heart Mountains alone to prove his worth to the god of fire. A female Tutor has a similar ceremony when their hair grows to below the waist line, called a Mallia, in which she will travel the borders of her region alone to prove her worth to the goddess of the earth.
Each Spring on the thaw, the Tutor males will leave the forges to seek their life mates. The Geneiáda ceremony signifies the age in which a male Tutor has grown a beard and a female has grown her breasts, signifying they are ready to find a life mate. A male Tutor will search for a Life Mate and try to impress her with quality of the weapons and or art that he makes. When this is successful the two are bound in Mid Spring in a ceremony called the Ensoni ton Mation, or Union of Eyes. The only two remaining ceremonies are the Tyflos in which a male Tutor goes blind and retires and the Thanatos or death in which a Tutor's dead body is sent into the volcano to return to the Heart Fire.
Male Tutors create weapons, armour and art to bring to their mates in Spring as decoration or weaponry. Female Tutors are the protectors of Hertus' borders protecting it from Tresspassers and killing any who enter armed. Female Tutors are mothers, teachers, healers and growers of vegetables. Each full moon, three female Tutors from each region called fruit, vegetables and meat from the retired and take it to the Fire Heart Mountains to supply the males and spend a night with their mates. Besides that Tutors wear leather and the armour made for them.
Religion
Tutors believe in the Four Parent gods, Fotia, Gi, Anemos and Nero. They believe that many years ago Fotia and Gi loved eachother so much that when the mated they made the Fire Heart Mountains out of which the Tutors were born. Tutors believe that long ago female and male Tutors were one, being giants like people with ashes skin and bronze hair, but the water god Nero was jealous and separated these beings creating female and male Tutors. They believe that to find your mate is to find your other eye and will go to great lengths to protect and find their life mate. The Tutors pray to the four gods for kindness, but put their fear of water as a fear of Nero and his master season of winter, but see spring as a time of joy with the earth mother Gi, summer as a time to return to Fotia and the forges and Autumn as a time for travel on Anemos' winds. It is because of this that Tutors have developed a strange habit of referring to over races as children of the four gods, such as Maiars as children of Nero, Dwarfs as children of Gi and Qadir's as children of Anemos.
Economy
Tutors have no internal economy being rather tribal and more about trading and taking what one needs as oppose to buying and selling. Travelling Tutor's will however carry their crafts to trade with outsiders while outside Hertus. Their is a famous story of one of the first Tutors to visit Regalia sold a sword for 500 regals and when he left gave them all to a homeless man.
Combat and Warfare
Tutors are not prone to violence, but will protect their territory and themselves if attacked. In war it is noted that Tutors focus on the whole war not a single battle, having back up positions and ready to move in if a battle is lost. Male Tutors use their bulk and strength in combat often carrying clubs, axes and hammers into battle. Female Tutors are more athletic and use their speed an agility, usually using javelins, swords, daggers and spears.
Subraces (Where applicable)
Torcs- A sub race combination between Orcs and Tutors, this species usually look like orcs except they possess three eyes and have different coloured hair depending on gender.
