INTRODUCTION
I was going through my old character applications and my old name character study. I wanted to see how many races I've picked to play and if there was a common pattern of what I liked to play. Now I can't pass up the chance to see other people's results.

MY PERSONAL RESULTS
I love elves, so it comes as no surprise that my most played race is Altalar. Which is NOT my favorite race! My favorite race is likely Kathar but Altalar comes in at a close second (Suvial is my favorite subrace). My criteria for this list was to include any character I'd made/bought a skin for and actually played in-game even if it was for a short amount of time. Any half-races played were included in their prominent parent category (Ei. raised as a Kathar will go with the Kathar category). I also included both Hy'riss's races because it was an IC change and not a retcon.

The list below shows my unplayed races. I bolded those that are my favorite in this list and highlighted my favorite one. Allar is definitely the top race I want to play and I'm most likely to play one of those next! I would also like to mention that even though I've played a Slizzar and Asha, I only played both briefly and would love to create a full and most fleshed-out character with either race.

This list shows my main characters and their races in chronological order! I find it interesting that I played four Altalar in a row. Clearly, I really enjoy Altalar and Kathar characters and these seem to be my favorite based on what I've played.

• What is your most played race? Is it your favorite race?
  • My most played race is Ailor. Ailor is not my favorite race in the slightest. The only reason I play them is because something in my brain tells me that only Ailor can have the funny cultures, and I like the cultures more than the race itself.

  • I would like to play something between a Sihai and a Qadir. I like the concept of both races, and have a Sihai in the works while patiently waiting fo the update to drop. I am legally not allowed to play a Qadir until Taeron dies because I signed a contract. One can only dream.

I haven't created a whole lot of characters during my time on Massive, although I have a few ideas for characters I'd like to play at some point. However, I very much prefer to focus on only one or two characters at a time, so unless I decide to retire Alasdair or Faran for a bit soon, I'll probably just be sticking with them for now. Of these, Rhiannon and Conor are both shelved, but I've considered bringing Conor back up-to-date on current lore to play a Cahal.

Ailor is definitely my most played race, but my favorite is probably Cielothar. I love their aesthetic and all the neat lore, and I enjoy being able to have both the fun, cutesy wholesome RP along with an occasional tap on darkness. I think the reason I tend to favor Ailor is because of their flexibility - I usually pick an idea or concept before a culture/race instead of the other way around, and Ailor is something that can fit into just about anything. Also, I like all the different cultures and they're a lot easier for me to skin.

Some of these I have ideas for, like perhaps a Minoor traveller that eventually got Urlified, or a Fin'ullen inspired by the darker side of predatory merfolk, or perhaps a nod towards the selkie or something like that. If I made an Asha, I think I would have fun leaning into the pirate theme, so that's a possibility, and I like the idea of an Eronidas artisan. Others, I have nothing other than, "Ooh, they're cool!"

• Songaski and I think because my old main (Fathiyaa) was my favorite to play and I rped with her for over 4 years. I've played them since they split from the Qadir back in the day when the two were part of the same race. I've played them before they got their cool connections to the dragons and have watched their popularity grow and shrink through the years.

  My most played race is Slizzar, as I've technically had 3 now. They're not my favourite, that falls to Allar but I also love Isldar.

Given I love reptiles and how they look, I just looove Slizzar aesthetics. Partly why I keep his natural form when I can. But again, they aren't my favourite race and I just love the culture around the Allar.

• Mine is Altalar, and I would say its my favorite race. I enjoy how developed the race is, and how much lore there is behind them.

• For me its pretty much the Gorr races. As for what I would play next, I'm actually looking into a new character, and I'm between bringing back an old Avanthar of mine, or making a new Maraya or Isldar.

this looks fun! so . funny answer time. I've been around for quite sometime, yet I've always had either a consistent character or just was unable to pinpoint what race I'd want and shoved them into one niche wise.

• What is your most played race? Is it your favorite race?
  • I believe my most played race at this time is currently Ailor, however it's not my favorite! My favorite happens to be Nelfin races, primarily Altalar. I think Altalar became my favorite after playing Anathiel / Aerendyl for some time back when the Werebeast com was Werebeast and not Cahal.
• How many characters have you played of that race?
  • I believe 2-4 at this rate! 2 of the Ailor have apps, while the rest were more brainstormed characters that never came to be.
• What races haven't you played? And what is your top choice for what you'd like to play next?

Following in your footsteps with the highlighting and all! I think for my next character I'd either make a Songaskian or Voltalar Isldar. Picking is so hard to chose, all the races have a niche I'd love to explore.​

Character Run Down

1st Character - Juliette D(something I forgot) | 2015-2017

• First ever main character on the server back in 2015/2016. I played her without an app for some time in v3 & v4. This was back in my cringe and noob state. She was an Ailor of Velhiem culture! At this point she'd be somewhere in her 50s.

2nd Character - Anathiel | 2016 - 2020

• My second character, Ana. Surprisingly still around. They started off as a Slizzar, however I eventually merged their concept into an Altalar as, at this time, I also played them without an app. Starting as a Lessara, she was eventually translated into a Fin'ullen and lived on to be an Allat of a Werebeast pack. She was my first character to ever hold a perm, even if it was short! I adore her, honestly. Probably one of my favorite personalities I've every played.

3rd Character - Camilla di Orazio / Rilynnlues | 2017-2022 / Current

• Ah yes, dear Camilla. I created her early 2017, originally as an Avanthar. However, she didn't gain much attraction to me as a character at the start. I wasn't happy with my ability to CRP at that rate and she was a full combat themed character. However, after awhile, she became my main character up until the end of 2021. (Eesh. 4 years?? Damn.) From Avanthar to Ailor Archblood with a long line of success and failures, she still is my favorite character. I'm very happy with how she turned out in the end, the development she went through in the pass few years was amazing.

4th Character - Mirabel | 2022 - Current

• Mirabel is recently created, a Dressolini youngster with an odd niche. This character is wholly experimental in terms of, everything she's learning is being taught IC. I wanted to see what would happen if a character was influenced wholly by IC reasoning, without any other points but hobby. So far, it's led into sorcery. Something I haven't been able to explore until now!

5th Character - Hekatia | 2022-Current

• My first dip into Kathar RP, and slightly influenced by others, I created Hekatia who I play on my alt. So far? It's been very enjoyable! Her niche is very fun, eldritch horror masked behind the face of a motherly Saivalthar. I haven't gotten to develop much of her yet, but I look forwards to it!

Names and concepts

✿ Sselk - mostly known as Khoren Drulvaar by the end, this kinda dumb Slizzar has a special place in my heart. If we ignore how cringe I was when I started out back then, I had a lot of fun playing him and am very happy with how his story ended, however sad it is.
✿ The Malevolent Spirit/Yirin - The idea of playing a radiant walking neon LED on heels in Crookback. I like to think it was a fun concept, combined with pretending to be an Arken and seeing how (not very) far I'd get, but I never found the motivation to play them consistently since I was still playing Khoren back then.
✿ Allar magical girl Allar magical girl ALLAR MAGICAL GIRL ALLAR MAGICA-
I never got a skin, so I haven't gotten to playing them yet.
✿ My guy Florin with his consistently neutral expression and "no heart" (said ICly by Florian du Poncaire). It's a character I want to consistently play at some point, but I definitely need to rework his skin, and also do an in-depth thinking session about how I'm going to play him, since it's something I don't want to do wrong, being my only character who is cannonically on the spectrum (yes Ik how it works etc. etc. I don't intend to misrepresent or do any negative stereotypes I'm on there myself afterall and. so conscious about it LMAO.)
✿ Narla - short crime reincarnate. My current main who I'm having a lot of fun with and am far from done with, for there is still a lot of crackheaded drama to be created.​

‣ My most played race is Ailor, and it probably is my favorite race, if not second. I really love the idea of 'basic people' in magical surroundings so I drifted usually towards the more human characters. Nonetheless, it is always fun to have freakos every once in a while.

‣ My second favorite race is probably Qadir, despite the fact that I've only played one seriously. I just love the... drifter through the desert mindset, traveling. Also their jewelry always has secret uses and I love that lore.​

What is your most played race? Is it your favorite race?

Way back in the day I played and made a bunch of Kathar, however my favorite race would have to be the Slizzar! I love them.​

How many characters have you played of that race?

Three! Possibly four. Though, only three of them actually had apps. The fourth one was a one-time thing.​

If I would to play another race from what I haven't played yet? I'd probably pick Yanar, I like their appearances and flowers.

1st Character - Kealoha

My first character and my very first OC I made when I was a little girl before I knew what a OC was, I ported her into Massive Lore. At first she was a fire mage when that was still a thing before special perms and slowly I made her into a poor Etosian artist. She has been through a numerous amount of changes (both outside of Massive lore and inside of it), though I had settled with what I think she would had been. A struggling artist.​

2nd Character - Maarika

A Songaskian linguistics teacher, also used to be a fire mage when that funny magic was around. I don't remember much about her because she was a Faction character when RPing in factions was still a thing. She had one of the cooler designs, I quite like the teacher theme she has.​

3rd Character - Moana

When Maiar were still a thing (Now Mai-Allar), I made one but never made an app. I played her for a while and when the Moana came out people then started to notice her and it was awkward. Admittedly I didn't really follow the lore for Maiar at the time and just larp out a fish bake shop with her fish husband. I made a few close friends during this time period and when I think of my Massive youth, I think back on these times mostly.​

4th Character - Quinn

I wanted to make a gay Ithanian, so I did. He was a noble and played the piano, but that's all I care to remember about him. I didn't play him for long. I think I hated playing a man.​

5th Character - Eloha

My first Kathar back when they used to be called Shendar or something like that. It was around this time I actually begun to care about reading lore regarding races, the Shendar caught my attention with how crazy it was. Eloha was originally a tribal tattooist and a hexer, but she was very 'tame' and rational to keep her two-faced nature hidden. Something that I'd keep when I revamped her later on. I don't remember a lot of rp that I did as her, I think I just messed around in the sewers when I could. The only clear memory I have starts with hexing a glass to look like a rainbow squirrel. ​

6th Character - Puerish

Another Kathar, but this one's crazy and has no temper. It was around this time I tried to CRP and didn't have a good experience with it. She would had been a decent warrior and a devoted void worshipper if I had played her longer, and could actually CRP.​

7th Character - Delonia/Sakeena

My Asha/Varran, she was a replacement for Moana because the Maiar at the time were nuked. I had a weird experience rping her. Sometimes people are weird, but I made some nice friends during this time period! At first I had made her to be a widowed mother trying to just take care of her Half-Asha son who happened to make questionable friends along the way. She was a baker and cook, but I changed her around a year or so later with the Asha update. I made her a trained warrior because previously she was defenseless and I realized I kept making all my characters somehow end up being cooks. She can still cook, but this time around she knows how to stand her own. ​

8th Character - Sta'erris

My first MAN character and last. I forgot why I made him, but I think it was because my friends made Isldars and I wanted to join them. I remember I wanted to try playing a man this time around and I found the concept of Half-Races very interesting. An individual who has their self-identity warped out of fear they may be outcasted? A boy who just wants to be around those he consider family? Someone lost and silently wishing to share what his other half is? These were all ideas I wanted to try to RP out. Sta'erris was my first character that I actually put some serious heart into trying to be involve with Massive outside of my comfort-zone and because of this, I got to enjoy a lot of good memories and a little peek into what a group effort can do.​

9th Character - "Eloha'leil"/Lzalizali

I don't know how to start her story off. Originally after I finish things with Sta'erris, I wanted to get back into crime life. I had intended to bring back the original Eloha as a Kathar, but I decided to make her a Slizzar mainly because of their shapeshifting abilities. This time around 'Eloha'leil' was an echo of a prior voice, she was an engineer who wanted to gain power somehow. She has been through a lot of changes, but I'm happy I kept to her character as a two-faced bitch. I have a lot of fun playing her. Still do!​

10th Character - Lucrece Peirgarten

There was a pause in-between my crime rping where I grew bored and wanted a change of scenes. I wanted to try playing a noble and I'm very thankful I was taken in to play a Peirgarten. 'Jayna' was her name I gave while coming up a theme to her, I found a post on Twitter that immediately gave me the theme I wanted. A fencer who can make pretty dresses. I enjoyed what noble rp gave me, it was much needed fresh start to a new area I haven't interacted with before. I played her during the Vampire Crisis and that was very fun. I enjoy playing her still, she has an odd personality formed by IC interactions outside of her control - and that's very thrilling.​
