The Coven
Not only does this coven function as a group with allies and enemies, it also is willing to do dirty deeds for a good price. Every Sanguine has the goal to crush Regalia to dust, but the Solifuge Society acts more like a parasitic entity that sickens the city while providing illicit services for ordinary goods and favours to passively break down modern society. For example, a scholar may learn normally heretical knowledge or a businessman may find themselves strangely successful with their competitors looking like losers as opposing industries are sabotaged and messengers don't make it to their destination in one piece.
- Letters addressed to Xilthruum will always be kept confidential unless it's a threat.
- All letters will be opened in the offices of Xilthruum and be responded to as soon as possible, either by sending a letter back, a messenger, a personal visit, or an assassin, depending on how substantial or egregious the messages and resources are.
History and Origins
The Solifuge Society is derived from an old organization that Xilthruum once belonged to on Daenshore known as 'The Sunlight Society.' This was established in 158 BC, primarily focused on the study of Dimenthism and Estellian philosophy with the influence of Lightness magic and Existling energies. This society thrived under a scholarly oligarchy made up of 33 mages, sorcerers, and magical scholars that regularly solved magical problems that the government tasked them with. This ranged from identifying unwanted mutations to having a prediction for when the next magical event may occur and where. With the Cataclysm incoming, however, all of the scholars were taken by surprise and were taken to war tents to become tacticians and advisors. Obviously, none of them were prepared for war, and their advice wasn't very sound to follow. With the Altalar suffering a crushing defeat in multiple skirmishes beyond the fight against literal demons, and the Wildering tearing the empire apart, they returned to their previous work to begin theorizing how to prevent this from happening again. With a majority of the mages and sorcerers losing their touch with the other worlds, a tempting figure with unknown magical power in 53 AC approached them and promised to return their mage spark if they drank a specially brewed potion. Desperate, and willing to experiment, the oligarchy consumed their share of the potion and found that it had been poisoned with Sanguivorous blood. From there, for once, the Sunlight Society agreed on one thing: their gods had abandoned them because they were jealous of their power. With their question answered, this society fell more into philosophy and hedonism than actual sciences, lasting for an extended period of time as many Altalar thought this to be a new form of magic rather than a parasitic spread. With the world suddenly becoming alarmed with the presence of Sanguinism, however, the society was eventually discovered and each scholar was forced to go into hiding or to put their neck on the block. In locked up buildings among the rabble and the unrighteous, the Sunlight Society found themselves devoid of purpose. From here, those that remained concluded they must return magic into the world through that same poisoned potion, and so was born the Solifuge Society; a society of savages and scholars who have fled from the light and find life within the dark depths beneath the Regalian empire's feet. Many members were lost as they sailed to the city in 308 AC, leaving a lone few lead by the scholarly Lich Lord who began in a small crevice in the sewers. Taller and taller they built until they claimed land and got recognition from the Lords of Dorkarth. It is from here that the Society has grown into something greater, and and more lively, than the city expected to handle.

- Altalar Sewers: The Sunken Laboratory, littered with bookshelves, a lab, a lecture hall, and a couple small lounges.
Values And General Opinions
- Supports gender equality and looser racial restrictions (though not be devoid of them)
- Supports those of aberration and sub-human status to be pitied rather than reviled
- Supports meritocratic politics rather than elections and heritage-based statesman works
- Supports the right of serfs and authoritarian nobility (so long as they permit Sanguinism)
- Denies the rights of Werebeasts unless enslaved
- Denies the rights of Dragons, Sihndar, Crimson Witches turned Manathar, and Unionistic clergyman
- Denies the presence of godly deities as only powerful entities
- Denies police entities and official laws in favour of mercenaries and bodyguards
