Blessing and ambition bind the Bloodguard together. A unified order of Crimson Armored Sanguine who serve the commonwealth of covens and Lich Lord Xilthruum. Despite its short history, the organization has managed to earn a place among the state's worthy foes. Control of the Crowned City, the assault of Greygate, and the defeat and subjugation of the Violet Order are among these accomplishments. Spoiler: Bloodguard Companies Description and Guide Leadership The "absolute" or overarching leader of the Bloodguard is Lich Lord Xilthruum. Though effective in magic and the arcane, Xilthruum has a handful of company advisors and commanders. Many of which include the Coven Commonwealths Desprinces. These advisors accompany wisdom ranging from tactics, intelligence, espionage, and treating the wounded. Ranks The organized structure of the company is not entirely linear. Officers are expected to command and lead in the midst of chaos by issuing concise and crystal clear orders. They are in charge of the orders overall training and frontline tactics. The Commanders of the Bloodguard sit above the Officers. Of which, many of them include Coven Desprinces who have sworn homage to the Lich Lord and pledged their allegiance to the unified cause. Commanders direct the overarching strategy and organize the goals of the order. Beneath Officers are veterans, skilled in co-managing fledglings and combat, veterans are the backbone of the order and of extreme value. A culmination of skills and morale are guaranteed with these skills soldiers. At the lowest rank are fledglings. Not necessarily unskilled, but fresh and hungry to prove. Fledglings are the ranks of armored sanguine given stock weaponry and training. They are expected to operate ranged armaments for the firing lines, and deadly melee weapons. Divisions The Bloodguard consists of three divisions, each having its own commandant, with officers to assist. Each division has access to medical personnel. Armor & Weapons One of the most popular weaponry styles of the company are great weapons and deadly polearms. Skills in ranged weaponry are expected and comprise of heavy warbows. The training and drill instructions of this arsenal are always available by the officers of the Bloodguard. Population & Economy The population and economy accounted for within the Bloodguard are derived of support from Demetrius and the Coven Commonwealth. Each Desprince that has sworn fealty to the Lichlord has surrendered their forces and resources for the unified formation of the Bloodguard. Blood sustains the orders great numbers, collected and farmed amongst the imprisoned cattle kept inside Greygate. Conscription Conscription is infinite, from voluntary enlistment from the Coven populace, to the captured and drafted fledglings within the Crown Isles, scattering village and town ports of the countryside, and Crookback Bay.
