Hats off to you! This is indeed the most impressive thing i've seen in a long time. Very well done! :)
 
This is absolutely wonderful! I'd appreciate a tag in future posts so I can keep up with progress.

On a side note, it seems that there might be a missing texture for the Anglian Longbow. Once it reaches full draw, this happens:

I'm afraid I didn't have enough time to test for this feature with the other bows, but I just wanted to bring it to your attention.

ill look into it, im not sure why thats happening , might be a mistype in the code or something


EDIT: Figured it out. The name of the texture for the last pull was longbow_3 instead of long_bow_3 or w/e

Ill make a quick patch pack for it thats JUST that fix that can be applied on top of Massivebound for now.

For the staffs I made them of random sizes but I can easily adjust them.

Progress has slowed due to my waning interest randomly. Fear not! This happens with everything I do, I get suddenly super into working on it then it fades then suddenly one day I will crank out about eight textures. What I can say though, is that a few Round Shields, more Heater Shields, a Buckler, a Targe Shield, and Nelfinite are done! My next goal is the final form of Nelfinite, Nelfinite Saiyan 3, then perhaps some more armors and props before I release 3.0. Any final suggestions for weapons should be sent in now ish, as 3.0 will probably release around Christmasish, so 10 daysish!

A texture for the Soul Infused Sabre would be cool ;)
Any details? IE: Is it a colored lore item, what does it look like etc? I know its probably just a sabre but soul infused implies magic so idk if there should be a color difference like glowing green or XD
 
I guess I may as well ask as to what sort of textures the heater shields have. Ya gotta have the Viridian/Bloodcast/Jennarc styles to look cool.

Little sneak peak of that I have done so far: 3.0 will work as a patch for Massivecraft's own pack, to add textures for the Crafting Guide button and menu, so no more vanila GUI mess mingling with out sexy pack! I will remove this when the main pack is updated to fix it, assuming MassiveBound doesnt become official (which I might be working on once I have added a ton more stuff). On top of the GUI fixing, as you can see, Nelfinite weapons have been added, as well as 7 Heater Shields, two Round Shields, and a Targe shield. I also added the Sabre and Ring on request as I figured they would be fairly simply and nice little additions. I will probably be adding some of the Winter Festival event items, like the Guards Sword and the Raven Feather as well since they are simple and a lot of people will have them now.

(Also the Armor is called "Makeshift Chainmail", I felt like there wasnt enough low-quality 'slums tier' gear in the pack. So, have a patchy, rusted set of chainmail!)


3.0 is projected to release sometime in early January of 2018, probably around the 10th ish if all goes to plan. I want to add Advanced Nelfinite and Super Saiyan Nelfinite to the pack, as well as a set of armor for each. Im also hoping that (pending getting details fro ma lore staff) I might be able to add some low-tier Elven Foot Soldier armors to the pack, and some Songanskie and Quadir armor as well. That way all the MAJOR world powers that are ever apt to come into play are represented with armor sets.

Be sure to keep rolling in any details and such you like (and if a Lore staff reads this you know ;) hit me up with above fam), and thanks for the huge support on this so far!
 
As another minor news tidbit.

Given, as far as I can tell online no documentation for how .property files are going to be effected by 1.13, what formatting might change, what new IDs will be used and work, etc, im halting work more or less. Im still occasionally making textures, but I dont want to waste time fiddling with property files when I might have to fully redo them, which will already see me editing around 200 files. I have been dabbling into other areas that aren't apt to change or will be easy to fix if they do- such as Connected Textures, Random Blocks, and Sound Effects. So, with a very late release, 3.0 will be a much beefier update than planned.

Current 'To-Do' List:
  • Moldy plank blocks for Swamplands biome, specially for Slums.
  • Mossy log blocks for Swamplands and Jungles, to add variety in the wild and in Regalia.
  • Altered Water Colors patch to undo the Blood Water in the Stonebeach biome and make poop water in Swamplands more greenish, for the benefit of Survival players who don't like bleeding beaches.
  • Darker Stone variations in Swamplands and Darkoak biomes.
  • Final Refined Neflinite weapons.
  • Random Textures to turn some crafting tables into crates, with various minor variants.
  • Rusty Iron Bars and Rusty Iron Blocks for Swamplands biome.
  • Redstone Dust to Blood Splotches in Swamplands and Stonebeach biomes, for decorative purposes.
  • Ragged Signs variations in Swamplands biome, as the default signs of the pack are too clean for the Slums imo.
  • Adding 'lids' to random TNT blocks for more variation.
  • Adding several Custom Sounds, including: Crowd. Angry Crowd. Cheering Crowd. Sword Fight. Small Battle. Large Battle. Cannon Firing. Several Cannons. Ocean Sounds. Boat Sounds. Wood Splitting Sounds. Smithy Work. Cart Moving. Stables Sounds. Roaring Fire. Tavern Background. Various Bard Tunes. Alarm Bells. Gate Opening. Gate Closing.
(as a note, Sound Effects added on my part won't be used really unless Staff both use the pack and have access to sound commands and decide to use them. Im just adding it as a... build up. My vague, 'in the future or something' goal is to get MassiveBound added to the Official Pack, so these tools would be usable by staff in events, and some might even be usable as a Premium Feature to add background effects mayhaps. Just an idea. )


Tl;Dr - Many things in the works or planned to be in the works, but given 1.13 changes how Item and Block Ids function, it might be a ways off. At least until Optifine Devs get documentation out for the new system.

They wont show up in the creative menu, you have to rename the items in an anvil (or with /name on Massive works) for the texture to apply.

Yeap! Feel free to toss anything in this thread. I used to have a seperate suggestions thread but I get them mixed up too much so eh lol.
Maybe I've missed it, but I think you could use some Allar-themed armor. Concepts being things such as very open-headed helmets to account for the snout. Some decorated feathered armor for Mu-Allar. Stuff like that.
