Hello and welcome everyone, to

The In-between Update

As most of you are probably aware, I've been working on MassiveBound 4.0 for near on half a year now. Its basically done! The downside is, its all been made for 1.13+ with the new IDs etc. Which means I can't release that until Massive updates. HOWEVER! Its been far, FAR too long since the last update, and I had a lot to share that I could, with some moderate effort, back-port to 1.12. Its not everything. Its about 3/5ths of everything. But that should be enough for now! So I present, MassiveBound 3.2!

NOTICE: The initial release of MassiveBound 3.2 had an issue with Eastern Blades using the wrong IDing format! The download links are now fixed, but if you want to just, NOT redownload the whole thing, there is a simple patch you can use, as long as it is applied ABOVE 3.2 Eastern Blades will work!

What is MassiveBound?

MassiveBound is a Resource Pack Addon for Massivecraft, meant to be used in conjunction with the Massivecraft Resource Pack, that adds a ton of extra immersion features, such as Item Skins and block variants! As an example, you can grab a sword, rename it to "Nelfinite Longsword" in an Anvil, and you will have a Nelfinite Longsword, with its own texture and all! And in the Sewers, Bricks and other blocks get a small makeover, adding randomized moss and cracks to them every once and a while to add to the scummy worn down feel!

How do I install it?

Installation is easy:

1- Download the Resource Pack at THIS LINK
2- Move the .zip file into your Resource Packs folder!
2.5- The Resource Packs folder is found by typing %appdata% in the top bar of your file explorer, clicking .minecraft, then clicking resourcepacks.
3- Make sure MassiveBound is on TOP of the Resource Packs list on the right side when in use.
4- Thats it! Its done. You and anyone else with this pack can now use and see others' item skins!
Note: Make sure you have the newest version of Optifine for 1.12.2 installed! This is REQUIRED!

Extra Credits:

* Monsterfish_ for making Conquest and a lot of the base-textures I used/edited, and for developing the style I use for all the new items I make myself.
* MonMarty for making the base Massivecraft Resource Pack that this is an addon for.

The Lantern isn't working for me, the 3D textures seem to be the wonky bit for me.

I know you made some of these already for existing houses ect. What would you name a banner to get the massivebound texture? They aren't in the items list.
(name) warbanner. It can be a shield or sign. So as an example "Howlester Warbanner".

A lot of the brand new items aren't in the lists, theres too many little things for me to remember to update it at this point.

I have MassiveBound 3.2 installed but when I rename Glowstone or Torches it doesn't switch to a lantern. The 3.2 textures don't seem to be working for me but all the 3.1 textures seem just fine. (I did try redownloading the pack)

Ahh. Mm. I have no clue whats up then. I just downloaded it off the Mediafire incase that one was broke for some reason but it all works fine for me.

Do you have MassiveBound on the top of the "Selected Resource Packs" list on the right side, and Optifine installed with Custom items on? 3.2 should also be the only version of MassiveBound thats enabled.

Custom items is on, it's on the top of selected resource packs, and I have optifine installed as well.

I have no idea then, there has to be something up with your Minecraft thats breaking it.

Im running Optifine_1.12.2_HD_U_E3. Maybe that? I cant think of any reason for it to not be working.

Uh.. is there anyway to find what names work in game then?
Actually yea 1 sec ill update the thread with a bit of stuff while I have time.

Update: OK I think I got most of the stuff listed and with screenshots of the folders. Probably missed a dozen or so things but thats the majority sorted.

I'll be handing out lanterns at spawn, just used an anvil and made 3 stacks

Is the Nodachi model unavailable yet, or did I not do something right? Either way, this is a very nice update!

Ah alright, because it still wasn't appearing as a Nodachi even when I added the Eastern Blades(EB) patch. Should I take out the EB patch though?
Maybe ye. In the load order on the right (in the resource packs selecting menu in game) make sure MassiveBound is at the top of the list.

You really need to credit Monsterfish, the creator of Conquest_ for a lot of your textures. I love the optifine textures as much as everyone, trust me - they add so much immersion and I would very much like this pack to be mandatory - but Monsterfish has a very strict policy on credit for his work, (well he used to but turns out he visited here!) which a lot of the textures are based on. I know that you guys have permission to use them - but giving credit is always a nice thing to do.

In a general sense, same goes for most other spliced/modified textures. I highly suggest making a small credits section at the bottom of the page here.

Right yea, meant to do that with 4.0 but 4.0 was shelved for 8 months while I've been waiting for 1.13+ massivecraft. 3.2 is a backport of 4.0 textures but I forgot the credits. reeeeee

(explanation aside: Added it.)

I am still taking item requests by the way. A little update log on what I've been working on since this dropped:

  • Blessed variants of every major weapon (16 of them) for Unionist holy bois
  • Blood Sung variants of every major weapon (16 of them) for Kathar unholy bois
  • Bone variants of every major weapon (16 of them) for weirdos and Kathar who can bone sing
  • Soul variants of every major weapon (16 of them) for Isldar who can summon weapons from the rivers
  • Iron Gauntlets, 3d modeled etc.
  • 3d Cart, 3d Wheelchair, 3d Pots and Pans, a 3d Mug and 3d Bottle, and a Target.
  • Amphora (pottery pot?), Astrolabe (astronomy thing), Chalice, Hourglass, Jug of Wine, Scale, and Sextant.
  • Better plates, better Shackles for guards, readded the Violet Baton for higher quality oppression RP.
  • Brass, Golden, Iron, Rusty, and Silver Keys.
  • A "Cedric" armor set thats meant to be used for statues around Regalia.
  • Staves with a colored topper, comes in: Black, Blue, Green, Grey, Light Blue, Orange, Pink, Purple, Red, White, and Yellow.
  • Tabbacca, Farmer's Hat and Welding Mask.
  • Banana, Barley, Blackberries, Blueberries, Cabbage, Corn, Fish Pile, Green Beans, Onions, Oranges, Pears, Plums, Rasberries, Rice Bowl, Turnips, and Wine Bottle. A LOT of food.

I've gotten a lot more done since my last update 3 ish months ago, and its a good excuse to bump!

Note that this is just whats done for 4.0, not updated for 3.2.
  • Black Knight, Anglian Knight, and Ithanian Knight armor.
  • Painted Armor (decorative for World Staff).
  • 3D Pipe.
  • Coraveau and Raakhrs Ring (Artifacts).
  • Hallowed Lantern.
  • Bear and Wolf Skin Hats.
  • Helmet Plumes in various colors.
  • Bamboo Stave and Bamboo Flask.
  • The Puretek and Demi Puretek.
  • Clay Cup and 3D Wooden Mug.
  • Grappling Hook.
  • Rake.
  • A lot of foods.
  • Dynamite.
  • Sword Breaker Knife.
  • Ranseur and Heavy Ranseur (spear types).
  • Mancatcher.
  • Sidesword.
  • AND 3D Statues for use around Regalia. Essentially what World Staff would need to do is rename a button to "Cedric/Alexander/Rose Court/Guard Statue" and place an item frame flat on the ground. Put the item in the item frame, then drop an Armor Stand onto it. Inside the Armor Stand, place a set of "Invisible Armor". The effect being, players not using Massivebound just set a set of Iron armor like they would anyway, while players WITH massivebound will see a 3d 'player model' statue. Its pretty dope.

@Conflee Okay so I love all of this, and I saw that you have a ton of Metalitra stuff, which is badass. What I'm looking for is a Metalitra Hammer, for smithing. If you have a suggestions list :))

Theres a generic smithing hammer (just "Hammer") already but im gonna be adding more sized and other smithing tools for 4.0
