-﹝DESCRIPTION﹞-
The Schwarzbär Guard was formed with intent to serve simply as personal guardsmen for House Black's protection at all times, but has since been recreated with a secondary wing as a fraternity under Heartland Ceardian culture. Merchants, Captains, deckhands and those with a heart for the sea are encouraged to join as guardsmen or welcomed members of the organization.
The secondary wing is the fraternity, simply called the Schwarzbär. This is open to all who seek leisurely activity with other seafaring individuals and are open to meetings involving chatter, political discussion, occasional feasts at the House Black estate and hosting coordinated events. Those belonging here may apply for guard ranking and have partial access to House Black's countryside estate. Also, each member owns a small pin made of metal and fabric.
- RIGHTS -
1. Nobility may have a House Guard utilizing half plate armor but no helmet and non-military grade weapons.
2. The House Guard must defend the lives and keep safe the nobles they serve from harm.
3. The House Guard may detain any attackers that attempt to harm the nobles they serve and transfer them to the Regalian Guard Charters.
4. The House Guard must act to defend, not to attack others. They may not draw swords for any reason but for defense of their noble patron.

-﹝GUARD STRUCTURE﹞-
These ranks are determined by title, age, former occupation and judgement by other guards. These are subject to change as recruitment happens and all ranks will have partial access to the Wolfsbüdel Palatz, House Black's countryside estate.
Kommandant,
The Commander will serve as management behind the curtain in unison with those ranking Beóbachter to determine things such as training, meetings, leisurely activities and more.
Beóbachter,
This is an administrative ranking given to the few individuals that will play the role of supervisor to the rankings below. They will see to the actions of the guardsmen, relay feedback to the Commander, take part in hosting events and act as a respectable figure.
Krieger,
This serves as the most abundant ranking of the guard and will be the most involved in all circumstances. They will act as the primary protection for House Black's members.
-﹝FRATERNITY STRUCTURE | SPECIALIZED RANKINGS﹞-
These rankings consist of the secondary wing of Schwarzbär and rank the fraternity as a whole. Male members will be given a small metal pin with blue fabric. Under this wing, the members are encouraged to coordinate events and activities as they please. Women are additionally allowed however given a pin of purple fabric instead, making a separate grouping should they want to speak apart from the men as the Heartland tradition has it.
Großmeister | Grandmaster,
The Grandmaster acts as the figurehead of the fraternity and most respected among its members. This rank cannot be held by the Commander and will see to most events with the Submasters. This individual gets a comically large pin, if they want.
Submaster,
These will be the most prestigious among members, claiming respect as superior naval men of their proficiency and will manage events as the activity of their fellow members fluctuate. This rank is limited to 3 individuals.
Member,
This is the most dense rank and serves as the heart of the fraternity. Every member will be given a pin of metal and fabric to apply during get-togethers or wear at all times. Here belong those wishing for meaningful chatter, discussion of Marshalry and its disciplines, storytelling, personal endeavors or simply a pin to signify themselves as someone with respect for the seas.
- SPECIAL RANKS -
These are elected by all of the above in unison, consisting of more or less fortunate titles as tradition. Ranks can be added or removed as the members would like.
Dummkopf (Pinhead),
Here sarcastically belongs the title of average initiate, among the most resilient to hazing and worthy of suffering through (friendly) rite of passage.
Säufer (Drunkard),
For the drunkard among alcoholics. As drinking contests, Anglian Shuffle and other games involving drinking ensue, those most often drunk will receive this rank as a reflection of their absolute state.
Muskelmann (Muscleman),
Lastly, this title will acknowledge the unit of those in the force of guards. This individual will have proven barbarically strong and must be capable of not only lifting one man from his feet, but maintaining a two-on-one brawl and is generally dubbed the big guy.
