For everyone you know, you can name at least one flaw in them. Whether they're a clearly blunt and rude person or kind to the bottom of their heart, there's always at least one ugly or flawed part of them. So let's talk about that in the sense of our characters!
I'm mostly going for personality wise, but if you feel like also including physically, that's fine!

What makes them ugly?

My Characters

Azra min Eazim - This character is covered in physical and personal flaws. She's extremely blunt and often times rude to others, she's easily manipulated or manipulative, and, despite her rather tough persona, a total cry baby. She's hard-headed and often times difficult to communicate with if she disagrees with you, easily making unjustified and cruel assumptions about others. Physically, she's missing a lot- in a literal sense. Her right ear and left eye are gone, the eye more prominent to see and a bit disturbing if she were to show off the empty socket. Her back is entirely marred in scars from a whip and the inside of her left wrist is branded with a 'T' for 'traitor'.

Siselle Haagenvig - Despite being a Northerne lass from a warring Haagenvig tribe, she doesn't have any physical scars, but her personality's flaws are numerous. The young woman is often found to be nosier than most, sticking her face isn't issues or topics that aren't her own to be in. As she is a Vilestate, she's trained to be illusive and often times can't be trusted to not betray you if you have something she really wants. Though she has shady schooling and could be seen as dangerous, she's harmless and actually rather gullible if you get her to trust you.

Theos Veer
Physically, his unhealthy dependence on a Blood Curse to the point of having lived as a functioning Vampire for fifteen years. The healing, the power, the blood and abilities - it defines him more than he realises.

Mentally, his coercing, manipulating and outright malicious undertones beneath the 'charming' exterior. Not to mention his narcissistic self impresssion. Textbook Sociopath. Textbook Vampire and Prideful Scorn Worshipper.

But doing card tricks for people surely allows for the turning of a blind eye, right? Totally harmless.

Mama Yahdga - For starters, Mama's most clear physical flaw is her crippled leg, causing her to hobble around. On the inside though, Mama, rather than being too evil or unjust, is too nice. She is often led by such idealistic principles that when something does go wrong (I.E. her adopted daughter getting punted across the room every 15 minutes), she falls apart when no one else is looking. Mama let's her ideals mask her in a sense that can make her oblivious to the trouble and issues around her.

Araidith Deceren
  • Physically: Ara was mostly unscathered when it came to scars except for the two huge ones across her face. She also had an excessive amount of piercings which, depending on the person, was unattractive.
  • Personality: Ara was childish. She didn't have much care for whether or not a question she wants to ask will offend the person or not, despite her rarely ever meaning harm; she was never afraid to express her opinion. She was also impulsive, ideas coming to her mind and she'd carry them out before even thinking about them thoroughly, especially when it involved saving her own butt.
Keltie Ledsarge
  • Personality: Keltie is loud. Very loud. She's excitable and uncaring. However, she's got a very short temper. She's likely to square up to anyone who disrespects her in any way, even something small, which then leads to a long-lasting grudge which will only be resolved if the person apologises to her to her face.

Raina Viduggla:
  • Despite being rather kind hearted most of the time along with a lot of patience even she can have rather poisonous words towards others if she isn't careful, normally one to give her opinion when it isn't wanted.
Kilian Kaeppler:
  • Physically Kilian does have scars from training getting too rough but personality wise he can be seen as someone who relies on others too much but he also seems rather gullible.
Juniper Hallewell
  • Despite the obvious scarring on her face she does have her personality faults. That being said she is often seen as one to easily be pushed around because of her fragile nature.

Isaak Darkafen
Appearance

Flawless. Absolute beauty, and nobody can convince me otherwise.

Personality
Isaak is a nice guy most of the time, or a tolerable guy at least. He can be a bit insulting at times, but never directly and he's never too too hostile, he just can get irritated at times. However! Underneath all that lovely polite exterior, he is a massive bundle of nope.
  • Cynical and patronising at times.
  • Can be narcissistic, self-inflating.
  • Really pretty racist. Elves are untrustworthy and incompetent, Varran are weak and little, Kathar are idiots and Maiar are primitive creatures that shouldn't really be called people. Ailor are pretty good, but obviously not as good as the beautiful, noble Maraya. because nothing is.

Czylle

Sizzle has had her ups and downs throughout the year I've played her.
Originally she started out as a bright eyed girl who wanted to help her brother in Regalia.
Then, she got knocked down and started feeling all sad and depressed because she found herself to be useless.
Then she got back up, then back down. Get the picture?

As she's grown older, Czylle has become bitter and hateful to mostly everything and everyone in the world. Things effected her; d'Vauds being handed to her cousin, marriage, child loss, all those sorts of things, and bit by bit she became this bitter alcoholic that had nothing good to say about anything. She became more and more elitest/racist, and she hated anything that casted magic.

In her latest chapter, she's started to recover /again/. Like she once did with Erwald she found some help in the form of friends to drag her out of the hole she had dug herself into. She stopped relying on alcohol to get her through the days and instead clung to those who gave her confidence.

She's getting there. A bit more outgoing, less racist, and certainly less judgemental. It's likely however, that one wrong move or comment might just knock her back down.

Anna Caladwen
Anna has minor personallpe and physical flaws. Due to a mauling while she was young she earned two long scratches from her forehead to her collarbone, this limits her eyesight in her left eye, which causes headaches while she's stressed. She hadntakeh a dagger to her ribcage three times, barely inches apart, she tends to cover up this weakness, but once the tender skin is hit, kicked, or jabbed at, she panics and lashes out at anything and anyone who touched it without permission.

Anna also suffers from a sense of anxiety. She cannot handle being left alone, and has her own 'Emotional Support' animal, a Calemberger Beagle. Whenever something goes wrong, she tends to find herself at a tavern, spending most of her paycheck on drinks before stumbling home.

Physical Flaws
  • My character Leanardo Silva has more then a few facial flaws. One is that he claims Daendroc descent due to being born a bastard of a Anglian mother and Daen father. He's pale, he has piercing blue eyes unlike his whole family who possesses green and darker tan skin. This puts him to have to explain how his descent works, however he'll avoid it as much as he can.
  • He also has multiple scars on his torso due to repeated stabs.
  • His extreme muscular build has him has him lack all speed and agility in general.
  • Anyone who typically wonders why he commonly wears gloves because two of his fingers on his left hand were broken and incorrectly set causing them to bend right slightly, it looks freaky to someone who looks close.
Mental Flaws
  • His main mental flaw is the fact that he is a legitimate bastard of a whore and a Daendroc father. He never had the chance to meet his mother. However this constantly eats his mind, he can't stand the fact he couldn't have the correct situation with his father and mother. He is very sensitive to the fact of this and he either angrily lashes out or just falls silent and loses respect for the person who has mentioned it.
  • Another one of his mental flaws is that he compulsively lies in a live or die situation. He's brash also, for example he was captured by a gang and told to give information and he gave slight truth information and mostly false information. This can be his downfall, if he contradicts his own story.
  • He's an essential beta male. Leanardo lacks all confidence internally and is insecure as ever, he puts on a mask of confidence however he commonly thinks of his theophobia and how the Spirit could see his actions if he were presented in a poor situation with poor choices. He fears disappointing the people he respects such as his brother, his to be wife, or the High Reverend. His fear is failure which detours him a lot.

Brynaelda Cuffburt is the epitome of ugliness.
For someone who was once dearly kind of heart and passably beautiful for a dwarf, she now carries the weights and burdens of ugliness from the outside that has rotten to her core.
Scars line practically every inch of the woman, from slave whip lashings across her back, a vampire clawing the entire left side of her face, to knife marks, unfortunate slices, burn scars from smithing, childhood accidents gone wrong- it is as though the entirety of her life is painted across her hideous skin. Yellowing teeth have been knocked out so repeatedly that her smile looks crooked and unwelcoming. To the point that some speculate if her teeth merely rotted from her head.
The stocky, stout woman's stature is normal for a dwarf, if not rather tall, but to most her appearance would be unattractive and unflattering.
Her facial expression is usually pulled into a sneer or resting as a pained, furious grimace- leaving most to be wary to approach her.

Part of this grotesque visage weighs into the decay of the goodness in her chest. Trauma from the severe loss her hold faced, what she lost, weighs heavily upon her. In many ways, this total devastation has aged Wyn, and made her grow more hateful towards others. Her internal workings of anger and uncontrollable volatility makes her ugly on the inside and contributes to people's lack of approval.
Inacceptance is another fueling factor as to why Wyn is so ugly. She feels as though because of her appearance she is considered as less than. Her thoughts on relay disapproval in volumes and it deeply wounds her pride as her life would be so perfect if the Isldar hadn't ruined it. She was once so proud of her incredibly long hair and now the unevenly cut shorter hair is a sign of shame and embarrassment to the dwarf woman. But most of all, her brutish mannerisms, her lack of refinery, her explosive temper, and wild behaviors overshadow the shining glimmers of kindness, warmth, ambition, hope, and romantics that Brynaelda once shone with.

But she's so adorable?!

Because I was too lazy to actually do it on that other post, shush.

Seraphina Eroth:

Physically: She's a beast of a woman. Standing at 6'9 and with glaring eyes of sapphire, this clipped Avanthar means business. With her multidue of scars, she can give most people a run for their regals if they come across her in a dark alley. The worst of her scars is on display on her face, raked by the sharpened nails of the one she loved.
Personality/Emotionally: Sera has issues revealing her thoughts and emotions, but when you've gone through all the things she's been through, you would probably too. Manipulated by numerous lovers and those she held close to her heart has made her closed off and often unwilling to allow the pain she's suffering through.

Theresia Kaeppler:
Personality/Emotionally: For a rather regal and extremely put together young woman, Theresia is much like a church mouse. Very quiet and more so seen than heard. However, in recent times, she's begun to come out of shell. Though, perhaps that's not necessarily a good thing.

Huh.
Meredith Lessauer
  • Physically speaking, Meredith is a runt of an Altalar. She stands at 5'8, compared to the normal towering heights of 6+ of the lanky elves. While some might find it endearing, Meredith finds it embarrassing- She's a midget, and she can't reach her top cabinets without standing on a chair. That aside, there remains the matter of her eyes, her silver Silven eyes. While some Altalar may have been dazzled by them (though it didn't quite redeem her from her short stature), Ailor culture shuns her for it- The culture she has recently integrated herself into. A painful reality.
  • Personality wise, well. Meredith isn't a terrible person, and usually means good for all. However, like everyone else, she does have her flaws. The elf has no way to deal with anger, rather, she simply represses it until it fades away, or blows back up in her face. If anything, Meredith's flaw isn't anything negative towards others- To imply put it, she is world-weary. She tries to keep it masked, though it bleeds out in subtle ways time to time. I wouldn't go as far to call her depressed, though. There are small things that keep her spirits high in her life.

Keanu Hath:
  • Physical: He's small, thin, frail, and physically weak. He has a hard time keeping himself from the clinic due to being easily beaten. He is nearsighted and needs glasses to see well. He also has a weak stomach, not being able to handle the smallest amounts of blood or gore.
  • Mental: Depression.
Olli' Zhatnni':
  • Physical: Being someone big and muscular, the Drowdar can be quite intimidating to some people. Her body is covered in scars from all of the fighting and hunting she's done in the past.
  • Mental: Olli' is not the brightest person in the world. She is naive and easily manipulated, and sometimes has trouble thinking for herself. Insults are something she cannot deal with, letting people walk all over her while she runs to her friends to get them to help.

Otto Bergmann-Jäger:
  • Physical: Otto hasn't really any scars despite extensive combat in the city guard, inquisition, and as a soldier in war. That said there is a sword scar on his lower left jaw that'd you have to look carefully to see. When he scowls it hurts because the muscles haven't all properly healed.
  • Mental: Mentally, Otto is somewhere between humble and arrogant at the same time. He's humble to his betters, i.e: Nobles and higher ranking in chain of command. However, he can become very arrogant towards commoners he feels has done nothing to improve their lot like he has, and or showing no respect to him or the nobility he serves.

Augusta
Physical: Scars riddle her body, often reopening if she is reckless enough. Her bones are dense, but she often feels pains as deep as them, not helped by the fact that she constantly trains, and puts an incredible amount of stress on her body.
Mental: Jealousy is her greatest downfall. She has served the Howlesters for years, and knows her worth, but she still feels threatened in the midst of new guards. How could they steal the limelight from her? Anyone is automatically competition unless they are weaker.
Wyetta
Physical: She is chubby, more so, curvaceous. While this gives her no true health problems, but this paired with her narrow shoulders and lack of upper body strength, makes her an easy, weak target.
Mental: If there was a proficiency in manipulation she would have +100. While she thinks love is a game, as she has yet to truly experience it, and uses the hearts of men who love her to her advantage. She takes up wealthy patrons when it suits her, but she does not let the self-confidence issues she has stand in the way of getting what she wants. Confidence is key, and while she exudes it, inside she is not.
