...and the fleet never made it back as suddenly all the ressurected wonders and horrors of the deep found them..
Allison Olversdottir Ally rested there curled in a ball up next to Dagmar and Halfrida, her stare blank and body shivering. Where had it all fallen apart? Beside her comrades she'd stormed the beaches and fought with the ferocity of her ancestors to try cease what had been an eternal struggle with the Arloran and Torsian people. The king he had been in eyesight and then... Nothing could ever be expected to come well by Arlorans but not whatever the Void that was. She knew that her father and brothers had probably already died, should Bashtur not of protected some of the Torsian's in their assault. Hardened warriors can only last so long when even their home lays in ruin, perhaps a few had actually made off with the Regalian fleets? There was no justification for Ally, any peace of mind; only dread for what could come by her sisters back in Regalia, for what lay ahead because the battle may of ended but a war was coming. @Ryciera @JarlJade @Anti_Majora
Glynnii Wynmoir Her eyes, brown globes in her fur covered body remained cast to the sky. Keenly glaring at the purple, filmy dome. What fun.
Vhorkogg Titanbreaker cheered out happily as he took down one of the great wyverns that an Isldar rode on, watching it crash to the beach as the Isldar upon it died from impact. He looked around, took his sight on Rerik as he'd cheer, "Ogg kill dumb lizard! Bahaha, Ogg best Orc, Ogg kill giant lizard!" Despite that, the Orc eyed as the giant, stone statue mutated their own troops into weird behemoths of creatures, seemingly looking like the Vilitatei he'd see time to time. The Orc wouldn't mind that much well, thinking what the now magic side of things were to complicated, the Orc helped Rerik control the Orc "army" that they lead to the cliffside, despite the white essence starting to mutate and demolish even more of the troops close to the statue and far about.
"This wasn’t just some undead plague, it was a global extermination where any dead organic matter or even bones were reanimated into any possible way to become savage creatures intent to destroy anything alive" Spoiler: RIP
Jamison Von Silvrest I Suspect foul play, the Arlorans must have used some from of .. /Magic/, if this is true then our next invasion will be a crusade for the spirit and his holy emperor"
*Screaming in terror and sadness* Chaos. Screaming. It was a mad scramble for the surface. "HAL!!" Gaia screamed as he rushed for the nearest exit, his wings thrashing harder than ever before. Everything all around Gaia was trembling, and Gaia couldn't understand why. While he had volunteered to power some machine said to be able to kill Estale when she attacks Regalia, he was luckily left out of the loop, and was never tricked into the machine. He didn't know this was the machine's doing though. The exit was just ahead, it's light over a flooded area that didn't drain. Gasping for air, a rock shaken out of place came falling down, colliding with the Mekket Seedling and knocked him out of the air. "Agh!" He yelped before hitting the stone floor. He managed to get his torso out of the rock's way, but end up with his arm and wing pinned together. Screaming in terror and absolute pain from the broken limbs, someone out of his view began a low growl, which escalated into roaring. It sounded like children, though. As the rock rolled off his limbs and into the canal, three Maiar children with dimly glowing collars panted over him. One he recognized to be the one who gave him the blue blanket. "Get up!" Another child screamed, going to quickly pick up Gaia off the ground. The three worked together, spots flashing bright as they waded through the water and up the ladder. While going up, the child carrying Gaia up gasped, and he felt her grip slipping. "Bestia! Bestia! What- Why no work?!" She cried. "Mine still on!" The generous one responded, and Gaia was passed to her. Making it to the top, an older Maiar nervously awaited them, said a strange word, and then Gaia was passed to him. "What happened?!" He called, running with the lanky, broken Yanar in his arms. The three children followed closely to the adult, bounding on all fours. "Got squished! Send to Clinic!" The youngest, a boy, called. The adult nodded, but anything beyond that, Gaia can't recall. He must have fainted in the oddly powerful Maiar's arms. @Hutydan @Ruby_Raptor The sewers was a mix of calm and terror for Noodle. The rug-hugger Munchkin Cat wasn't still adjusted to life in the sewers, but even they could tell all this shaking was wrong. Gut feelings told the cat to find a way to escape, even without Caretaker. Caretaker was strong though, and very big, so they should be able to escape on their own. For now, the petite cat raced out of the Mossy, their ferret body and agility narrowly dodging mutant predators. They looked like the one that tried to pick Noodle up a few days ago. Bounding up to a ledge, Noodle ran along the wall and up the steps, darting out into the blinding light of day between heads on pikes. Racing down main-street, the long, short cat panicked, yowling in fright before clawing it's way up a tree outside the tavern. @2001Pokemon2003 T'au and M'tchiri both felt it. M'tchiri sensed the troubles first, and his alarm as he panicked around the tree nook in the park notified T'au that something was wrong. Tying up her Ragdoll Cat with her ribbon belt, the Ragdoll M'tyaka climbed down from the tree to find the source of this distant shaking. The detective wandered up and down the streets, questioning anyone who would give her the light of day. Nobody knew. Ardon knew everything, so the M'tyaka headed for the sewers. Heading down the steps behind the Tavern, the shaking grew louder. T'au headed up the steps to fetch a good torch stick, then headed down and found a small fire to light the tiny torch before making her way towards the trembling. Distant mutants shrieked in blind anger, setting the M'tyaka on edge and she hurried to find Ardon. Rounding a corner, a beast screeched above her, dropping down from the ceiling. T'au dropped her torch, screaming in terror as she raced away from the beast, darting under rubble and around falling debris until the monster chasing her was struck by a large falling rock, killing it. T'au escaped safely, although any nearby vampires might hear her heartbeat like a rabbit beating it's foot. So rapid. Meanwhile off the coast of Hyrroc, Marevas, their cousins, friends, and allies were being driven from their homes. Within the aquatic crypts, crypt guards reported to Kimo with stories of Kailani and other dead relatives scratching and roaring within the tombs. "Undead invasion!!!" Kimo screamed as mothers grabbed Mareva offspring to flee. As a mass exodus of Mareva-related Maiars fled the work-in-process Territory, the crashing of repaired ruins being destroyed crashed behind them. The enraged roars of Sea Serpents screeched in the distance, just now arriving at the ocean buildings to destroy the land. They didn't notice the group ahead, but didn't seek them out as they were occupied with stragglers that didn't make it out of their ruins in time. Journeying for Regalia to personally tell Kailani's children about the destrution, the large group would be picked off one by one by more ocean monsters. In a few weeks, Regalia would receive only a few more Maiars, one being Kimo. Kimo "James" Mareva is now available for roleplay! If you'd like to apply for him, I'll gladly accept excellent roleplayers who would dedicate to playing a weak Scholar Maiar. https://forums.massivecraft.com/threads/mareva-family.41193/
First the ball goes south and I nearly lose and arm. Now you kill the rest of my family in Daenshore. I will not go silently into the night Marty. Mark my words.
Battle of the Mossy Poss Before the celebration could begin above ground, a group of individuals entered the sewers, seeking answers. The quickly noticed increased activity from the already existing Undead- whom were in large numbers due to the Crimson's Genocide only a few months prior- as well as strange Mutated Monsters. The group quickly dispatched of several of the creatures before encountering another group near the main entrance. They joined together, making their way to the Mossy Poss. The Mossy was quickly assaulted by several of the Creatures and a few Undead, which prompted the original group- mainly four Storm Crows- to set up a watch at the entrance and to ready the Sewer Dwellers for battle. And battle did come. It started with small groups, five to ten. However, the numbers quickly grew- at once point there were even around thirty of them outside the Mossy. Thankfully, partially from the preparations by the Group, but mainly due to the Sewer Dwellers' tendency to come well equipped- a barricade was built and held in the doorway. As the seemingly unstoppable hordes pushed the defences, a Barrier of Light was brought up by a mage inside, buying them enough time to battle back their foes. The waves of Mutated Monsters and the scattered Undead continued for nearly an hour before finally being beaten back fully. Death Count: Undead / Mutants - Roughly 53. NPC People - 5. Players - 0 (though there were numerous injuries). OOC Info Al of this occurred in game as Roleplay, and nearly 30 players were involved, with many taking on the role of defenders, while some chose to emote and play as the horde of enemies. I do not have a full list of participants, as it was very hectic, but it was a ton of fun. If you were not there or did not hear stories, all you would note are the numerous new blood stains around the Mossy's entrance, as well as a pile of burned bones and assorted bits of armor in the canal, as well as the stench of burned flesh, which will dissipate after a few days. Overall, it was a blast, and it was amazing seeing so many people all taking part in a non-Staff driven event- even though it was sparked by Story Events I suppose, hence it being posted in this thread. It was so cool.
Marty you are friggen incredible at writing these. Worth reading through in the morning. Now I regret not having signed up for this. ;-;
And somewhere in the city a certain homecoming idiot has no idea how close he came to finding out the answer to questions such as "What did the Chrysant empress actually look like?" or "Where's my father?".
