THE HOLY SYNOD
Introduction
The Synod is an organization of the past which served as the governing body of the Sancella. With the coming of the Tenth Creed however, the Synod was disbanded, making way for the Holy Conclave and member Churches.

Positions:
- High Reverend ~ The High Reverend serves as an enforcer for the Supreme Reverend, carrying out His Supreme Holiness's will when he finds that a Reverend's sect is bordering on heresy or out of the limits of interpretation. He also presides over Synod Diets and serves as the Imperial Family's and Emperor's cleric. Allowed to vote and propose during Diets. |
- Reverend ~ The Reverends are those entrusted with interpreting the Creeds and Spirit's word. They are permitted to create their own sects and gather their own flocks with their interpretations of the Creeds, though must keep these teachings within the borders of faith and not delve into heresy. They are permitted to propose and vote at Synod Diets. | Above |
- Curates ~ The common preachers of the Church. These are the most common of the Unionist Divine, being seen preaching on the streets and assisting Reverends in mass and the like. While they may not be allowed to vote in a Synod Diet, their opinion is respected and is allowed to propose or weigh in on decisions. | Above |
- Father of the House ~ A Reverend of great experience and wisdom who is the first to offer their opinion on proposals and assists the Synod with advice as they move along the Great Way. |
- Reverend-Minister of the Guiding Eye of St. Manfried ~ A Reverend entrusted with the leadership of the Guiding Eye. They shall direct and recruit for the Order, leading conversion missions and other such actions in order to help spread the true faith of the Spirit's Creeds. |
- Reverend-Minister of St. Volo's Charity ~ A Reverend charged with the leadership of Heron Volo's Charity. They shall recruit for the order and direct the alms offered to the poor of the Empire from the organization.
- Synod Finance-Minister ~ A Reverend entrusted with the funds of the Synodical council and raising or lowering the tithes upon the various Archreveries of the Empire. |
- Synod Military-Minister ~ A Reverend charged with directing and giving orders to the Claw of Union, the military arm of the holy collective as well as military guidance to the council at Diets.
- Curia of Faith ~ is locked to His High Holiness Thibaut du Pont or whomever holds the position of High Reverend. They are charged with the duty to enforce the Supreme Reverend's will in regards to the various sects of each Reverend.
- Curia of Clerks ~ allows laymen who are not official members of the Church to work alongside the Synod through Charity and the like. They will work with a Sect and assist that Reverend with events, preaching, and daily duties. This is open to commoners as well as the Noble peerage if they wish to join. The Curia can be used as a service towards redemption for sins committed in the past with certain as dedicated work under the Spirit's Church. Noone has joined yet.
- Curia of the Conclave ~ all Reverends who make up the Synod are already within this Curia. Charged with voting on important matters during Synod Diets.
- Curia of the Inquisition ~ locked to His Holiness Titus Cretch until he steps down. Charged with being the religious guide to the Inquisition.
- Curia of History ~ various Reverends and Curates charged with spreading the history of Unionism through various events, recover lost Unionist artifacts, and record all Sermons to then be published within the Synod Bulls or separately.
- Curia of Gospel ~ various Curates charged with assisting the High Reverend with the creation of Synod Bulls. They shall be present at the Synod meetings even though they cannot vote in order to record the votes and topics discussed.
- Curia of the Church's Militant ~ various Reverends and Curates charged with guiding the Claw of Union and its leader. Reverend Vladislav Volkovich.
- Guiding Eye of St. Manfried ~ An order which is charged with spreading the faith of Unionism throughout the Empire by converting people of other faiths.
- St. Volo's Charity ~ An order entrusted with the duty of spreading alms to the poor and assisting the lower classes of the Empire with basic living and necessities in order to have all people of the glorious Imperial hegemony thrive.
