Sounds like a massive "Who dun it?". I have my own opinion, but I shall keep it to myself. What struck my curiosity more was this "Iron Crucible". A follow up to the Inquisition with more power? Care to shed some light on this Grailen ?

it's going to be a new para-militant government group whoes main focus will be going after Traitors rebellions and rioters.

Oh gosh, thank gosh I wasn't there, but should I be worried? Possibly, I don't really keep up with that, except for the fact I wanted to go to a teaparty... Dang I miss everything. But poison? I highly doubt any of the Beauverets would do anything... but I have no idea. My thoughts on this; Why would someone poison Posidem? The Beauveret Wine? But... if it was the Beauveret wine, it could have been intercepted and poisoned by someone else..? I honestly know nothing of politics and such, but I see no reason why someone would poison someone would did nothing to them... Unless Posidem did do something....

Among nobility, there is a higher rank which are the Senators. Often to the Senators, the other nobles are pawns in their political game.

Oh... I am such a fail at this >.<" Sorry, a bit new to this mess of politics, maybe I'll ask some other Beauveret to explain the relations between the families, but overall I understand what you are saying here... I think. MonMarty

I tried to make a political map a while ago. It is not very accurate, but it should give you a general idea.

(I love how the Lovegood Household doesn't have any relations with even a single other house haha. Neither does the Larue House)

I see the locations now... That's good I had to ask someone for directions, I just forget who... Ironic that I was looking for the Lefort Manor when it was right across the road from the Beauveret Manor. Huehue = I derped. (facepalm) My bad.

This map does not represent the Pavleon or the Sherburne families, which make relations even funnier. Maybe I should make a thread in the RP section to announce the relations.

Oh well, that's not required, I meant the relations to the other nobles by the Beauverets. But I am interested in the other relations, I don't know about others. MonMarty Well at least I won't get lost

Try not to tag someone when you quote them, it creates a duplicate alert in their inbox.
Whoops! Sorry >.<" I didn't realize you were watching the thread... And a rather random question on nobles, In the Noble District, there is an academy, is that for noble children? Because my character has a rather young daughter (6 years of age) and I was wondering if there was a school for noble children? Or do the parents have to teach them, themselves?

What if it was all a big plan set out by Posidem to throw the families into chaos.... Well everyone but the Lovegoods and us La Rue's... there's perks to being politically oblivious.

"I blame the Medavinci's. After all, it was our wine bottle with the poison in it, but lo, one of the Medavinci's had stolen one of our wine bottles not weeks before the Ball! Flask, wine, label, all of the precious things we all love in wine.

Poor ol' AurelienBela. Lost his Crystal Flask thanks to the thieving bastards...
And they look bad.
Eugh, the Beards and the long, blond hair... You'd think just having those would be a crime..."

"I am surprised you could think of this... Let alone, I was about to sip the ale myself! I was more worried if I was going to die at the time... Nonetheless, You do seem quite correct."

I have to say, it had to have been someone who has relations with commoners, because the wine was a common wine found in the common market, there for the culprit is a commoner or someone with relations with commoners.

Or I'm completely wrong and they are tricking us entirely.

Those damn Beafarts...
May we all learn that those ignoble nobles don't belong 'ere and neither does their wine.
-Francesco Medavinci

The real question is who would go into the sewers. A commoner would not know what to look for, only an educated noble would know what type of plant to gather for a poison. So which noble has been going to the Undercity I wonder.

"One that must be Educated very well... Or one that is extremely stupid... Again, both of these fit them Medavinci's..."

Viktor Gabriel Albatross II, hearing about the event, writes down various statements in his notebook, hoping to decipher some overlooked statement or observation.
  • The alcohol was clearly unmarked, as it would have been noticable, and therefore must have been with the killer when the party started, as to stop anyone else taking it by mistake.
  • The only people with access to the kitchens were guards and the servant.
  • The orcs are "smashy", as Rohggy described somewhere above, so wouldn't have used poison.
  • Tigrans are not known to be rich enough to buy poisonous mushrooms nor venture into the undercity.
  • The Medavincis not only had enough money to buy mushrooms, but they were there, and probably did not want to uphold their side of the deal by making the orcs second-class.
  • As the orcs were guards and had racial grudges against quite a few nobles, it is possible the Medavincis wanted to frame them.
  • However, Alex Kade- one of the most influential people in the whole land- knew of Posidem Anahera being a mage, and magic was outlawed. It is possible the waiter was told to lie as Alex did not approve of the Iron Crucible.
  • The waiter, in this case, is the only possible person to know, and so must be arrested for further interrogation- and held responsible if he cannot provide a definite alibi or new evidence.
"Hm. Maybe I need a little talk with the guards..."
(EDIT: Valmyr, why pink cloud? That was an RP thread and RP response...)
Because if you weren't at the party how could you have known?

Beafarts? Wow... FAIL well at least my opinion Beauveret sounds nothing like Beafart that was a horribly thought out attempt of an insult XD It makes me laugh rather than anything else

Easy there killer. It was a joke, perhaps you are taking a post that was meant to be RP a bit too seriously if you felt the need to make such a rude post.

Oh well, I found this to be strictly information on what happened, >.<" For people that are really slow like me... way want to put in parentheses that you were kidding = Whoops >.<"" Yeah, my bad

The Lovegood Household chooses not to partake in political feuds for they are not of greatest concern, yet interest as of now. Although, Athena is looking into a position in the Senate.

I blame the Medavincis because Francescos a douchebag. >_<
Haha, I don't know who to blame, I guess I would blame Grailen, he just seems like a person who would do something like that, now on the Francesco subject I don't really know him but by observation I'd say he's a bit obnoxious but then again a lot of nobles are.

"No worries! Not only are you reasonable minded, but you don't have the mark of them. Besides, the Medieval Prostitutes had red lip-stick to mark their career! *He glances over at one of the most popular nobles* Oh. I mean... A flag marked them...?"

O-O That isn't good, and I highly doubt you'd do anything prostitute like, and I can see that -Steps back out of line of fire- Okay... I'm good now XD

I love how your character is like 14 and knows so much about prostitutes... :^)

Bsavs Power-hungry... the very opposite actually. If you'd bother to read into families then maybe you could insult on unbiased grounds.

There's too much of a mix between RP remarks and non-RP remarks on this thread I feel, and this is leading to personal tensions rather than just character tensions... :S

I personally think a lot of nobles don't deserve their title simply because it goes straight to their heads. Oh well, just my opinion.

A few very important things need to be noted here as the number of these posts and sentiments have become increasingly common and have served to only further exaggerate and amplify these absurd tensions.

1. You seem to have become angry whilst Out of Character over actions made whilst In Character. Not everyone is going to be "nice" in Roleplay but that is no reflection on their virtue and character in real life. It is only saddening to see such ridiculous, misplaced anger.

2. Any good historian or writer knows that when studying history you must leave behind all the norms and social structures that are commonplace to your particular society and time period. This also reigns particularly important when roleplaying. In my opinion, it is in bad taste to insult a noble when they act like a "douchebag" or let their position go "straight to their heads". Noble families like the Medavincis in Regalia and other similar families throughout history are expected and known to be mean and cruel. However, it would be pure idiocy to insult them on these points directly seeing as they gained their power through such tactics and would thus correct you with strict and harsh punitive measures.

In the end, you all should relax whilst out of character. If anything, my character being called a "douchebag" only serves to remind myself, along with Grailen, that we are roleplaying as we intended to.
