• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

The majority of the information here is in the title but here's my suggestion:
  1. Add the ability for factions to be added as the ShopAccount for a lock
  2. This can be done in the same way that they are added as lock members (format f.{FactionName}
  3. that's it.
This would help shop factions and factions that own market areas for the faction.

thanks!

Question: Would this mean that any earnings from the shop go to the faction bank?

Question: Would the faction owner be the sole person to control this account? I.e. Would they be in charge of who can actually modify the lock by adding leaders and co-leaders?

A1)
Yes.
A2)
Yes, but in the future perhaps this could be integrated into factions perms

Question about this.

Who would be allowed to add the faction as a ShopAccount? Perhaps it could be a faction permission? Because currently players only have permission to add themselves as a shopaccount, for obvious reasons. If I was able to add you, I could set the shop to sell 1 dirt block for 1000r and rinse and repeat until you have no regals left.

What would be in place to prevent this from happening?

I covered this above.

Not a bad idea. Being able to set up a personal shop and having it's returns go to your faction, or possibly a faction of your choice, would also be a handy tool.
