I - Introductions

The Silver Saddle, Ardelan House Guard, was established in the sixth month of 306AC, to honorably protect the House Ardelan from harms way and defend them against those with ill intent. The Silver Saddle Guards wear the uniforms clad in blue and white, the colours of the Ardelan Family they take pride in. Every Guard of the Silver Saddle swears an honorable oath to be loyal to the cause of House Ardelan, escort them throughout their road, and should the need come, lay down their lives in order to protect their superior. In return for their acts of justice and defenses of the Ardelan family, the guards of Silver Saddle keep their pockets filled with coin and get to experience involvement within the peerage.

II - House Guard Rights

By becoming a loyal guard of the noble Ardelan family, the individuals in question receive a set of rights that excludes them from normal citizenry. These rights are completely useable for as long as the individuals are formal members of the Ardelan House Guard. The rights in mention are specified below;

• Rights to wear a cuirass/chest-plate of plate armour of any kind. (arms/neck/head may not be armoured)
• Rights to wear a chain-mail skirt/hip-guard, no further armour. (legs/feet may not be armoured)
• The right to bear weapons in open carry, but not military grade.
• The right to defend any member of a Noble household from aggression.
• The right to perform citizen arrests on attackers against said Nobles.
• The right to transfer citizen arrests to City Guard Authorities.

Abuse of these provided rights is strictly not allowed, and any guard caught abusing their given rights and branding the Ardelan family a bad name and reputation will be immediately unregistered from the House Guard and reprimanded for their disobedience and unrightful abuse.

III - Guard Hierarchy

The Silver Saddle House Guard follows a simple yet efficient hierarchy system that allows them to monitor over their recruits and appropriately issue orders through the respectful higher-ups in rank who will be in complete charge of the guard and ensure their activity, formality and loyalty. This hierarchy, it's titles, permissions and duties, and the individuals in register, are detailed below.

House Guard Leader
Permissions: Organize the Guard, recruit or demote any rank as they see fit.
Duties: Stabilize the House Guard and ensure everyone is doing their job.

House Guard Commander
Permissions: Can recruit and demote any recruit. Can organize training sessions. Can issue orders to the Captain and the recruits.
Duties: Issue orders to the Guard, oversee the Guard and ensure the activity of every individual registered into the Guard. Keep the Guard active and add to the ranks of recruits.
Title holder: Kristoph Ardelan

House Guard Captain
Permissions: Can recruit but not demote. Can organize training sessions. Can issue orders to the recruits.
Duties: Issue orders to the Guard, ensure the activity of every individual registered into the Guard, hold weekly training sessions and keep the recruits in shape.
Title holder: VACANT

Duties: Guard the Ardelan family during any occasion.

IV - Recruitments

In order to be accepted into the Silver Saddle House Guard, you need to display adequate activity and be frequently available to carry out your duties. You also need to not be a member of any other House Guard with your character, though you can be part of Charters and guilds.

Though since both of your characters were originally slum dwellers, I need to remind you that the guards are very strict with passage into the slums now and if any of you are caught doing shady business or getting reprimanded by guards, you'll be swiftly removed from the guard. Keep that in mind. You are advised to frequent the city instead.
