Questing Plugin Open For Beta Testing!

Today, the first Quest was released on Regalia as a form of Beta testing. Old Man Harry gives you a quest to take a tour around regalia visiting all the important land marks in Regalia, and the roleplay hotspots. We held a lenghty launch event with many staff and player participating during the release.

Currently the Beta quest is only available to Premiums, but to anyone who participated, please give us your opinions! We would like to read them.
 
So quests will only be available to prems..........that realllllllly sucks.
 
It is amazing! We are all (party) right now.:) Thank you for such an amazing plugin guys.
Can't wait for the next quest :D.

But just a question along with it. If the people have the time and talent, can the community surgest their own quests?:)

Should make people flood away from the tavern a bit spreading the roleplay. Very nicely done.
 
A good thing would be to make the quest you start automatically loaded, so you can /q s immediately after getting it. You could also add guard npcs patrolling every street, and maybe saying some random generic responses when clicked, like those in skyrim. Overall it looks great, and that description when entering the tavern should show up for every major building in regalia, describing it and the atmosphere in it.

PS: Add more graves :D

This touring quest much like all future quests are planned to be open to non premiums. In fact this touring quest is supposed to help new players, we just made it premium only so we can beta test with a select amount of people. When the next questing Island of Etosil has been released we will likely add a small amount of premium only quests. That way non premiums get access to 100% of the story driven quests, and premiums get an extra 10 to 20% for extra depth.

Ok cool. Also, I'd like to note that I just finished the Tour Quest... and it was awesome!

Anyway it was a good quest which taught people the basics and taught people many landmarks around the city :) good job
 
The quest plugin is still in its beta stage, and we plan to release a few more quests that will also only be available for premiums to test. But Tour of Regalia, along with these others, will eventually become available for everyone to do, not just premiums.

There will be some premium only quests in the future, but quests in an of themselves will not only be for premiums.
 
I finished that quest and I enjoyed the introduction to the city. However is the Merchant supposed to give you silver or is it bugged at the moment?
 
This was really excellent- fun, interactive, and it will certainly teach new players some of what they need to know! I'm a huge fan. Time well spent, kudos to the staff. :)
 
Quite a fan of this so far. Nice job, nice job. I really enjoyed romping from NPC to NPC and getting the miscellaneous free items.
 
Of note, was not expecting the additional items from each person, but the quests are magnificent. Lost the naga sword since inventory was full at the time, but completed the chain of quests and highly recommend it.

Just another reason to get premium, in the world of Massivecraft. I can't wait to see where this takes us!
 
I forgot where I was up to at one point, is there a way to check where you are supposed to go Cay?

Wow, I cant wait to test this thing out!
But I think some quests might defeat the point of Instances.
 
It sounds like fun when it is released to the public I will totally do it.

I've worked with Citizens before and I know that creating a quest can be a HUGE pain in the buttocks. Cay and Marty shouldn't have to do it alone. I would suggest getting the program to create those quests and submitting a few so they'd only have to tweak them a little if they wanted :P

The lore staff will be helping create and submit quests as well, However, Cay coded the pluggin for quests himself, so citizens are just being used by cay's pluggin.
 
Yeah I'm working on more quests right now. One might involve feeding this stray cat in Regalia called Tabby the Cat. Anyone noticed him yet? He's actually out there already.

Yep, almost as cute as my real-life kitten of the same colour and demeanour.
 
Cayorion I saw him this morning lol. Same with the bloody cow. Scared me to death when I saw the cat lol
