So, @ProfessorThaumic made a character study for this a while back, so I decided to make a new one for this. And please. Please make the themes as links, because with a bunch of videos the page takes half of eternity to load. Anyway, these are songs which fit your character pretty well. A character's theme song tells a lot about a character with the lyrics. There are a couple rules for this.

  1. Please. As stated earlier, use the link tool to put the link in some words so you don't cause a crap ton of lag.
  2. Don't force picking a character's theme. Find one that fits them well, or the theme will be inaccurate.

That's fine I guess. It was getting kinda crowded, but I never noticed a loading problem. Besides, that thread is long sunk

No instrumentals. This is because instrumentals don't reflect you characters personality/backstory/etc.

Just because the song don't literally say things, doesn't mean that it can't reflect on the characters personality. That's what art do: creative expression.

Look at the words 'Your' and 'Character'. Yes, art is a form of expression, and it can sometimes tell someone else's personality, but defining fictional characters with them is where the line is drawn. That's just my opinions but you can't grasp a character's personality as well as you can a human being.

Disregard the constabulary, here be Phon Senajan (new version)'s theme song, yes, it is instrumental.
Canon Rock by MattRach

As for Mr. Ford, he would have no clear theme song of his own, as it is up to what you perceive him to be.

I need my aesthetic, so I'm using the video. Also, I think it is absurd an instrumental can't reflect personality and lore behind a character. I chose "Turn Hell Hound" from the 2015 rendition of Macbeth for Percy for many reasons, and it has no words. The folksy violin in the beginning is very reminiscent of the Hinterlands to me, the Ravenstad High Lordship and their seat of power. It sets the foreground for who he is and where he comes from, then shifts into the aggressive and powerful drums throughout the building to the middle. Percy is a hyper aggressive person with little control with how he handles it. He's quick to anger and quick to make a decision for himself, without regard for consequence. He was raised on warfare and combat is the core of what he knows, the Viridian Castle and his father beat that into him throughout his childhood. I think the entire song does a good job of getting a feel for him, and is always good to listen to if I need to get into the proper mood for playing him.

I have to agree with Muffins. It's ridiculous that an instrumental should not have the potential to represent a character. I also don't think you're entitled to decide what kind of music can and cannot represent a character's personality and backstory. If someone thinks an instrumental can succesfully do it because of how they resonate and get inspired from it, what are you going to tell them? 'Instrumentals don't represent a character's personality and backstory?"

K. I'll remove that part, I honestly have no fricking idea why I added that. :P

~Noelle Hath~
So with 'Leave A Trace', the singer is talking about (in my own words and thoughts, so don't correct me if I'm wrong lol) that she wants to 'leave a trace' on the world. Noelle is the same, wanting to leave something of her behind so she can be remembered, and she'll risk her own life to reach that goal!
Now, in 'Scars' the singer (Tove Lo is one of my favorites even if she does share the same last name as Freya) is talking about how even though she may have many scars and reminders of something bad that happened to you in the past, it didn't kill you. That's goes well with Noelle, considering she is very (very) scarred up after a childhood of abuse and slavery, of course (even if it did take a while IC to convince her) she knows now that those scars can't hurt her and only made her into the strong person she is today!
~Juliette Le Seur~
'Le Festin' is a very lovely, French song talking about food in general (lol, but I mean, it is from Ratatouille) anyways, I think it goes well for Juli because of several reasons. First, it's French! Juliette is pure Ithanian, she has the accent and everything! So I really just wanted a pretty French song, this being one of my favorites. It also mentions Wine a few times and the Le Seurs (her family) are in the business of making wine, so it fits!
This is definitely my main theme song for Juliette, for several reasons as before. First, from the beginning it talks about how 'we are stronger now' and as of recently, Juli is a much stronger person then in the beginning. And it goes on to name a few things, such as 'my mind still fears' so while Juliette acts strong to her family and friends, she's actually very afraid right now as for her future, mostly for if the rebellion will beat Freya.
I also like the fact that it says 'I'm running with the wolves' and she is with the Coens and their animal is the Wolf, just a funny thing.

I've tried to keep myself out of this for a while for...No good reason. Mostly I guess I didn't think I could find a song that worked. Then I remembered that I started listening to Set it Off a while back and their songs are all great. In particular, one song struck me as perfect...

Cecil Empolan:
Nightmare, by Set it Off

First song by Set it Off I've ever heard. Jesus, does it fit Cecil-- everything from the metaphor of nightmares literally matching is incessant sleep problems to the speaker's seeming self-revulsion. Especially in lieu of the recent collapse of Greygate, Cecil sees himself as a monster that he himself fears.

Not my horse.
What are you doing?
Return me to my horse.
You foul undead beasts.
Take me not to your foul depth.

I understand.
The feeling is bone.
The attention is flesh.
Soon you will understand.
Grow comfortable for us now.
I drive the knife through the slit.
Stay and join the legion, stay and live.

Yes.
I think.
I hope so.
Where is my horse?

I hate this kind of thing.
But I'm also a hypocrite

Akkar Elwynn (The Elwynn brothers are just references to the Elric Brothers anyway)
Sylvar Vagolor (lives his life as a badass, in a story written by a child.)
Arl Faerie (Scared of his own shadow, mentally unstable)
