I always like learning how people have built on, or just completely changed, how their characters act. Do you think your character has completely changed since you first start writing them them, or not at all? If they've changed, do you think they've changed for better or for worse? What made you decide to change them?

Honestly, I just want people to infodump about how they've transformed their characters here. I'm genuinely curious, and besides, it might help me get some direction on how to develop my own characters!

IS THAT A JOJO REFERENCE PROFILE PICTURE!?!?!?

Anyhow, Lazarus (then Lazaruz because 14 year old me thought that was bad ass), has gone a pretty far mile since I began on the server... I'll be honest, he began as me going 'Wow, I love Matt Smith's eleventh doctor - But I also love Star-Lord!?!?!' and thus a character who was probably nothing like either was born.

My first skin on Massive... - Of which I was arrested for by the Violets, about immediately?
The blue and red eyes you ask? I thought they looked cool, no I did not have a forum account or know there was a wiki... Quite frankly I dont think i'd have cared!

Next in the evolution were these... Oldest to newest. - Humble beginnings huh? - Its really fascinating for me looking at the growth in retrospect.
Sorry, I went incredibly off topic. - But Yes, Lazarus has certainly changed into a far more depthful character than when I created him in his inception obviously; He's gone from pretty much your average young white knight idiot without much character to an aged knight school headmaster, this was with a handful of retcons and such towards his initially flat backstory, general growth in maturity by me as a person (and him as a character alongside this.), and a couple other factors...

Anyhow the point I'd like to make is be nice to the new people on the server, because more often than not they can really shoot up if you just give them time, as annoying as they can be. (Speaking from experience of being one.)

But yeah, thats me done on that, hope it was a little interesting to see the transformation. <3

What an incredible transformation! I can tell both you Lazurus have come a loooong way. It's pretty interesting how we can grow along with our characters, huh? Thank you so much for sharing! And hearing that encouragement regarding new players means a lot, considering I am one. ^^

As for my icon, all I have to say is ゴゴゴゴ ゴゴゴゴ ゴゴゴゴ

Azra

Azra originally began as a ... seventeen? year old mundane Qadir, who's only focus in life was to have fun and play music. She was careless about her safety and those around her, and often just trying to get into mischief rather than make friends. Soon after making her though, she ran into Nace Drummond (I think was his name originally.) and befriended him... after she was turned into a vampire and bit him. But it was the start of something wonderful! She was introduced to Juneya Perrot and Sloan Perrot, leaders of the Dead Man gang that was around when I introduced Azra to massive. She joined the gang and became their clueless, illiterate golden girl when it came to thieving.

The summer passed and she was thrown into more dramatics and eventually, after the Dead Men finally vanished, she moved onto other things. Azra focused on trying to get involved with the magically, namely Arkens, which she did to some extent. She made multiple deals, involving Sajerro the Merchant and Ott. As this went on, she became less of a mad man and certainly a bit more grime as physical maims occurred to her, that have since been removed from her character due to voiding or actual IC change.

Eventually, though, I applied for magic and she was approved! This made Azra a mage with the Shadow theme, which meant that she was basically able to turn herself into shadows and vanish to the naked eye. A wonderful skill for a rogue. Though... as time went on, being a rogue for criminals was starting to lose it's joy for both Azra and myself. There was less to do so she became a Greywitch and settled into helping both the military and nobles with progressions. Of course, that's where she is now- save the Greywitch thing as while she lost her entirely insane attitude from where I first made her, she gained an endless amount of sarcasm that eventually drove her to getting fired from the Violet Order.

Ayda
Ayda started off as a side character when I created her in early 2016. I don't remember the exact details, but I remember being attracted to the idea of playing a grumpy elf and a mage. As such, Ayda started off as an Ungwele light mage Talar with the personality traits of Dynamic, Pride, Perceptive, Witty, Irritable, Blunt, and Headstrong. I also remember having her not speak Common well. As such, she was fairly edgy in her first iteration. This was in part due to the fact that I didn't know how to play a grumpy character well, but I learned.

Eventually, Ayda became my main character. My first year of playing her was fairly flat, considering it mostly consisted of tavern rp. But doing so helped me shape her character, and eventually make it so she was more outgoing and curious. Eventually she was hired by the Laveer company, and she started to develop more.

Most of Ayda's development came in my second year of playing her, in part due to me overcoming some hesitations I had in regards to rp. This was the year that she lost her magic, but instead began to use a quarterstaff. I also started to refine her personality so that she became more fiery, rather than simply irritable. Otherwise, IC interactions during this year also changed how her personality developed. The largest of these was caused by the Faith Progrom, where she developed her current fear of entrapment.

Being in the Safeguard rangers and working as a House Guard where also two major events that happened this same year with Ayda, though I don't remember either having a profound effect on her. The more dramatic changes to her character where brought on by her stay in Fort Loyalty, and to an extent the massacre carried out on the Avanthar Royal Encampment. The former event mostly made it so I started playing her as more neutral, rather than neutral good as she had been before.
