Pretty simple and silly scenario here.
Assume "You" is your character.

You find yourself in an odd, dream-like state. A vision appears before you, and grants a brief tutorial on how to use a very odd weapon you've never seen before. When you awake, the weapon can be easily found right beside you.

How do you react, and what do you do?

Have fun! While I personally think of a pistol, feel free to make this any gun you want.

Regardless of the gun type, the following is accurate:

Being unable to see over ten feet I front of his face, Nal would probibally give it to Jude (@Beetletoes) or Bo (@Cowlegs_).

Borug would instantly go hunt a temple orphan or something like that. Because why the hell not?

Conf would probably be able to figure out its purpose fairly quickly, due to the similar design it shares with the Audir-Whatever-The-Void-The-Anti-Mage-Gun-Is-Called. He would probably keep it hidden away to use in emergencies.

Juliette would pick up the weapon and probably yell "Hey catch!" Before throwing it at someone.

Dahae would honestly either lock it away forever, or break it apart.

Fenic would use it to protect himself and loved ones.

Trevor would immediately hand it over to the Emperor as some sort of amazing weapon advancement.

Mr. Ford would make a quick work of learning to use his Taurus Judge. What could be more intimidating than a mysterious man with a mysterious weapon that instantly disembowels people with the pull of a trigger? Just one shot could spread words across the underworld not to mess with him.

The Von Greif family would take some time to analyze it, soon reverse engineering it and start manufacturing replicas for their own use. Soon making it their trademark merchandise and spiralling them into being an arms company in a modern AU. They'd most likely get some kind of rifle, probably those m1903 stuff.

Mari might not mess with it, or, if her stream of bad luck dictates so, accidentally shoots herself with it no matter what she finds. @Artemis_Hanzo

Sasha will give it to a friend who is most accurate with projectiles once he finds out what it does. Outrightly expressing disinterest with its size. Considering how it would've taken something as big as an anti tank rifle or machine gun to draw his attention.

Ribbon will probably class it as some exotic stuff she bought and keep it among other things on the shelf. Having it be a lever action rifle or shotgun.

Ulysess will 100% make a good use out of his .50 cal AMR, landing every last bullet where they are meant to. He'll probably keep the empty gun as a trophy.

Once Shae had woken up and found the strange machine. She'd instantly set to work.

She'd take it apart piece by piece so she could replicate it, making sure to take down notes. She'd probably change up a few factors to make it look like tigran like so she could sell if off as a Tigran invention of her own making, trying to, as always, bring back Tigran respect.

One she had the ability to make it, she'd probably track down all her enemies and shoot them on sight. There's a certain plant, two ailors, and an elf she'd love to demonstrate it on.

Jamie Rosendahl would train with it, waiting until he had consistent accuracy and performance before presenting it to the government as weapon advancement.

Fernanda Wodenstaff would've briefly stare at the machine. Before jokingly pointing it at Calder, "Lookie here!" Fern would be handling it like a rag-doll and drop it to the ground with a thud on accident. Oops.

Kharszug, without any doubt, has a big-ass rocket launcher. And Ra'Kashiin has dual handguns with bayonets. And they'd totally shoot Aeifshal charms. Kharzug wouldn't care to find out how it worked beyond big explosions, but Ra'Kashiin would study it, and try to replicate it. And spread them through the Red Leopards pride.

Zzeno would probably have some sort of machine gun.He would use this newfound weapon to threaten a blacksmith into replicating it's ammo.He would then overthrow the empire, ushering in a new glorious age for all Tigrans, fueled by unparalleled control of the doom sticks.

Silvian finds his new weapon, and attempts to glue it onto his shovel, with a string with the trigger and his finger on each ends. This is his now.

Mallorie Non'Elle would find the gun near her bed, with the simple point and shoot, Mallorie didn't have much use for it aside from concealing it. Being a not so well known noble, she uses this as a crutch in the business industry. She'd hire a Qadir to dismantle and study it, she'd than have the Qadir executed privately so he or she wouldn't give out word. Using the knowledge, she'd than mass produce the gun, with the material, gun powerder, and lock mechanism. By this time she accumulated over fifty weapons. She'd present this weapon to the Regalian military, and offered to make more of these and sell them to the Regalian military. Making thousands of Regals on this ranged weapon, rather magic essence used just to nullify magic, it used a few scraps if copper and gun powder. With this Regalia's crime has dropped substantially. The Regalian Military made the weapon a militaristic practice, flanking, rushing, bombarding (developing a british styled position, like in the war of independence). Few sewer criminals managed to smuggle some of these weapons, making gang wars a bloodbath, and short lived. These weapons became so well know, other countries got hold of this information and offered a trade for these weapons. Regalia denied this offer, since it would give them too much power. The refusal angered many countries, invading Regalia, the countries staying loyal helped Regalia, resulting in Aloria's first world war. Farahdeen got a hold of this information and produced their own weapons, to aid their end on the war. Elvish kingdoms remained arrogant and stuck to the old ways. The elvish kingdoms were short lived, and were forced to use this new weapons, any old tradition was blocked out, blades and bows were only sidearms (quickly an embodiment of shiroyama), other places like saivalthil went through similar processes. The huge need for metal grew substantially queer, and nobles started making mines and work "factories" to mine metal and to send to kingdoms in need of it. Regalia wouldbe quickly overthrown by opposing forces, nobles loyal were put in custody. The tech of the gun started to become tested. Gunpowder was used to explode and push the bullet, so they used this logic with water, steam, and other thongs. Thus this made an industrial age. Producing was much faster thanks to the Qadir tech and the tech they discovered.

The speed and timeline was sped up, the date was 470 A.C. And the inventor of the gun, Mallorie, perished of old age, she died a high noble of Regalia, and led the production of different weapons. The process of this medeival era was sped up drastically due to the strange weapon appearing, just near one low noble's table.

This was really fun, I was thinking what if the gun was suddenly discovered, due to the tech used in it, it would speed up the tech and go to an immediately industrial age. That's a jump between the early renaissance to late 1800s...

Thanks to Mallorie's advance, thanks to being a vampire, had entrusted the tech to vampire covens way before the Regalian Empire... As soon as the world war ended, all the covens of the world emerged and ruled it.

Upon discovering his new firearm and the subsequent knowledge, Rerik would study each aspect of it's design, beginning with stable gunpowder, gunmetal and the firing mechanism. Various gizmos would ensue testing each mechanism. The main weapon would be experimented with and replicated with innumerable variations. Eventually the Sapper would start simple mass production and supply his native peoples with the weapon, then the tigrans, and finally the dwarves. Technology breeds unity as Rerik would begin to incorporate effective artillery on anything he can find, regardless of the nationality of his customer. Heralding Aloria into the age of the gun, and eventually blast furnaces and mechanical demolitions. And lighters. I imagine a mechanized pseudo Enlightenment with spliced technology and a wide assortment of exotic weapons that spiral into various evolutionary paths. War becoming even more volatile and dissolving various brute force organizations for more organized regimentation, most likely spliced with assorted support and light melee troops depending on the gun in question. Rerik himself would most likely design a handcrafted spring gun with assorted attachments and designs and carry it for the modification and meditative cleaning. Eventually the political landscape of the world would change into a crude but effective piece as the differing mechanical grades and rates of organization promote mechanization and strategy over brute force. Knowledge would be leaked to various minor and major groups over rumoured modifications and new weapons and defences. guns that kill silently, or have no smoke. Paranoia and building turmoil leading to further political and social dissolution as those in power become fully touchable, and pleasing the public becomes more desirable than tempting an assassin's trigger or discontent from a mob. Society changes as war expands, and eventually simple democracy or benevolent oligarchy remains, as strength of sinew and hulking size no longer mean anything in a world where to be seen is to be vulnerable.

I like this response, but I also really like the idea of all the ways it could go wrong much earlier.

"Except, upon bringing this weapon to the Regalian military, Non'Elle was actually executed and the weapon, along with all information surrounding it, destroyed to ensure such insane power never fell into the wrong hands."

Or even more ironically: "Non'Elle, instead of living a long high noble life and dying of old age, was actually shot to death less than a single year later."

I can always depend on you for a pessimistic point of view of my dreams.

I would just stick it into one of my many pockets and very few would ever see it again.

Those who did get a chance to see it wouldn't be conscious of it for very long.

Gabrielle L' L' Renaud: sHOOT ALL HER WORST ENEMIES EVER YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY PEW PEW PEW!
Two kinds of people here...

"Use it for mass production, make many weapons, help regalian army, I've done my purpose in this world."

"F***ing shoot every son of a ***** that hurts me every ******* time... I will rule the f***** world with this f****** awespme weapon that can kill everyone f****** instantly... WOOOOOO!!!""

Cecil Empolan would spend a long time contemplating the weapon. At first, he was unsure that it even was real, not trusting the thing that had visited him in his dreams. Eventually, however, he accepted its existence. And then he knew what he had to do.

He counted the number of bullets he had-- only 11. Only. The Shendar would wash all trace of dye from his hair, remove the beads, and weave his hair traditionally. He'd secure passage aboard a ship to Daendroc, and before he left, he'd send a letter to the best secret-keeper he knew: Lorenzo Martinez (@Silent_Ruler)
"I am going to the Shadow Isles to kill their leaders. Then I'm going to try and burn the jungles down. Make sure every island and every tribe burns."

After landing in Daendroc, he would pick his way across the land to the Shadow Isles, declaring himself an infiltrator with important news that only the Council could be told. The small pistol would be nestled in one of his pockets, loaded and cocked.

As he stood before the Council, he would begin with vigor, declaring the new weapon he found. He would reveal the gun, waving it about. After several moments, he would turn it on the noble Shendar before him, shooting each dead as well as any guards. Once out of his 11 shots, he would discard the pistol, trying to start a massive fire and killing as many of his kin before dying.

RIP

Altior would take the P90 and then go find the gang that kidnapped and tortured his wife a while back, and use it to kill all of them. He's still have about half a clip left, and he would then take it to his genius uncle to see if he could make more ammunition or even more guns.

Philip would pick up the USP-S and take it home to his family's forge in Regalia ((forget bone horrors for the purpose of the story)) and begin stockpiling ammo, keeping it in a secret chest in the floor of his estate. He would carry the gun in his coat, most who saw it after that point not living to tell the tale. He then wrote in his newspaper about the legends and myths of a new magic that would launch metal pieces silently into heads. Eventually, likely after many years, someone would see him using this for self defense, and the guards would come knocking out his door, but he would give them the same treatment before hiding the bodies. When the guards were found, Phillip's house was raided, but he would have been long gone, at home in Ithania.

Rama Roh
His vision being too bad to use the Scar-20 at any distance, he would carry it on his back and use Shadow Meld to appear just i n front or behind of someone and no-scope them in the head, then eat them. Eventually, he would likely leave a bullet in a corpse while he ate it, and he would die from lead poisoning.

Adeline Aellair
Adeline wouldn't even be strong enough to hold the Negev up on her own, so she would get her wife and then parade to the Noble District, likely shooting some ransoms on the way there, before breaking down the window to Phillip's house and confronting him. The two would kidnap him and his wife, taking them back home. By this time, the guards would have been called and Adeline was able to make a final stand against them, before eventually running out of ammunition and being killed by the guards.

Daniel Rowe
Daniel found the revolver, likely playing with the barrel before puting it in his jacket. He would use it to rob people before eventually running out of ammo and having to bluff his way through it. When this happened, he'd eventually be overpowered and revert to using his fire magic, and his life would stay about the same.

Katar Varo
Katar would find the RPG and crate of grenades, then likely get his slave/lover/girlfriend/whatever she is/ and have her carry the crate as he paraded around the sewers toward the exit, collapsing a few bases on the way. At the surface, he would head for the palace and open fire, destroying the whole thing and climbing on top of the rubble, proclaiming himself Beheasal's avatar and the new Emperor. Most would cower at the sight of him, but some would realize the secret to his power and try to storm his base, before his trigger happy use of the grenade launcher collapsed the building on him.

Alejandro Latola
Alex would find the shotgun, not really knowing why he'd need it, but he'd carry it anyway. Eventually, he would run into Jonah, and pump him full of slugs, then hide the weapon. Some random sewer dweller would find it and begin a reign of terror that abruptly ended when he ran out of the ammunition.

Kovic Joromir
Kovic is poor so he would sell it to the highest bidder, then use the money to bribe his way into some position of power.

I thought portable rail gun here, honestly what is with you people
Fimbur would sell it
Gochni would sell it
Borin would.. sell it
Ret would.. sell it (I'm seeing a pattern here)
Orin and Dorin would try to reverse-engineer it
Bjorn would probs hit someone with it, not knowing what it was
Tarrant would go on a rampage, slaughtering everyone in his path with flames spewing from his right can't, and obliterating buildings with the gun in his left
