Hi everyone, Tra_kad here.
So as we know, because of the massive minecraft updates, our Massivecraft has also been constantly updating with new plug ins, new ways to do the plug ins, conforming to EULA and going back to it's old system in a different format, and also changing up the spawn world we all know and love as the City of Light, Regalia. While I do love this new Regalia with all it's nooks and cranny's to explore, in a almost labyrinthian feel to it, there are some places that this Regalia has removed (Or, at least, not been refound yet) from older times. Some of them, I didn't care about and actually enjoyed (Per example, the Crimson Inquisition) when they went bye-bye. However, some places that were quite fun to explore and hang out in RP were also taken away, which I found quite saddening. So I was just wondering what places that the community would like to see again in our server?
Some places I myself loved was the Adventurers Club (@DrFong ) with it's unique entry system and even quests in a sort of way, which I would LOVE to see again, although it may be a while. There was also the old "Sewer town" or "Poor district" that was under (more or less) the old Noble District, which had multiple ways to a vast sewer system in which, if one explored enough, you cold find a place that was RP gold for Occultist RPers and just all around epicness. While there still are the underwater canals that RPwise, Maiars can still traverse, I mean the actually underground full on sewers. A possible entrance might be in the Rat's den even, or somewhere in the poor district, like a hidden path in Murder Ally.
I think however the number one thing that I would like to see back was the "Adventure" islands, as I called them. These are fairly self explanatory, their were boats you could take to go to a Island that had some sort of RP wise quest that you could do. These islands were REALLY fun and well done in my opinion, especially the Emerald Island quest with it's dangerous parkour and scenery while at it, along with the flippen gorgeous IronHall, which, well damn, it was fabulous for a RP hangout and even a dueling arena to fight you're mortal RP enemy.
Anyways, that's all the places I would enjoy seeing again in Massivecraft, or even a "revamped" version using 1.8 technology. The possibility's feel endless with the new items of banners and armor stands and the like with Massive's team of staff and plug-in writers...
(P.S. to the loyal staff of Massivecraft: I did find a sewer thing under the poor dist. with dead bodies floating about... Did by chance, that have anything to do with the old Crimson Inquisition?)

I agree with most of this, However I remember also There was a library of sorts or at least I classified it as this during last years winter festivel that was a place where me and some of my friends would role play at If any of them remember it. I would like to see that come back if possible.
@Mycin_Alchemist

I'd like to see Ceardia ressurected in some way or form, along with notable locations in Ceardia like the ruins of SilverEdge and Lukkerdam, perhaps the city of Alamut (ruined o/c) and a smattering of other ruins. The entire world could be blasted and hellscaped, and could be used as a source of nether-materials, with the explanation being that the Doom of Ceardia brought nether-stuff into Ceardia. Also, with nether mobs roaming around it :P

It would also be nice to have SilverWind and Kelmoria resurrected as quest maps where you need to say, fight a band of pirates (SilverWind) and find a lost artifact (Kelmoria).

The sewer under the Poor District is filled with Fahlein. Best to stay out of there, and while there aren't any plans to bring back the Regalian Adventurer's club that I'm aware of, if you're in need of Fong-flavored excitement, there's always the Brute Squad.

I'd love to have a massive library again, excellent RP location.

Underwater, underneath the poor district. I recommend that you have the water breathing trait on to fully explore it. @Mycin_Alchemist showed it to me first, so I'mma give credit to him cause I'm a good guy like that. However, I will mention that there was some sort of mini area above it that felt like the old-old sewers to me... A precursor to a new sewer system, perhaps?

We need some more official RP places a library would be great.

Can we bring back the Willow tree outside of the tavren?

It's still there, RP wise a willow, but technically a oak... :/
A more unique feature that I would love is (read before you hate) a entrance to the rift, BUT instead of it being out in the open in obvious, down in some obscure underground area, probably in Regalia, kinda like the old underground Dark Alter.
That's another thing I would like back, a "Public" Dark Alter, even if their useless now. Their still great for RP.

Funny, I never see them...

We need a district full of brightly coloured cheap housing called the culture district or something with exotic restaurants and shoppes.

All the v old info is still on the main massive website. Even the prices in silver. If we bring back the dawrf we need the elven district (which we could add Yanar too)

I remember that District!
Oh my god. The Dwarven district. Though people tended to die to lava in that...

And the Elf District. And the Scholar District. And the public ballroom. And the hidden tavern. And the Catacombs. And the old, old, version of the sewers that didn't have fahlein, but stretched across all of Regalia and had many, many portholes. And the Undercity. And the old Coven house with an Altar in it. And the Library with a forbidden section. And the hidden part of the tavern. And the poor district before the one you're all referencing. Dear god I'm so old. T_T

Seriously, though. SilverEdge was probably my favorites out of the spawns. (Aside from one of the firsts, about a year and 8 months ago XD)

what did players ban hammer 90% of regalia?!?! no one RP's anywhere except the tavern nowadays... even in the poor district its hard to get anyone to RP anymore...(btw we need to use the other areas of regalia we like too, the staff don't keep stuff noone uses...)

If there were a library I would DIFFIDENTLY RP there.

At the summer fest there was a LOT of RP going on there.
I believe that if the staff created a new place, and heavially advertised it as RP people would rp there. Provided it was easy to walk to OR that there was a warp.

But....I always find people all over the place.

I shall give my opinion on this, as a whole.. (Be prepared to read A LOT, if you do intend to read this whole thing)

A part of the fact they were removed was because they WERE old... As I found people used the old sewers quite a bit.. The 'new' sewers which is in the poor district was probably made to be a fahlein nest. Also last I checked, the sewers, which was the fahlein nest got blown open, by a few friends, and I, when we went to rescue people.

Anyway.. I really wouldn't mind it if they added in new places, not necessarily re-add old stuff.. Just add things that we used to have, and change them up a bit. I would honestly have even more fun if there were even more places to explore. Like an undercity, the sewers (Because what good city in an RPG doesn't have a sewer system? I mean come on.. We need to fight rats somewhere..) Things that add even more mystery to Regalia, an elaborate undercity, with mysterious beings, and creatures with hidden areas leading to it, and maybe even entrances through the sewers..

Honestly... For me it isn't bringing back old stuff (Not entirely, anyway) it is having things that expand the insides of Regalia, and add more to it, and more roleplay potential... They may possibly have that planned, but for me it isn't bringing back the old stuff, it is bringing back maybe SOME of it, and refreshing it, making it new, and not exactly the way it was beforehand. I'd really like to see NEW stuff, however something like a sewer system, under Regalia, and not just the poor district, and perhaps darker things, even below the sewers; would be awesome (in my opinion).

The more hidden places, and such opens up more possibilities for roleplay, and may even get people exploring more, rather than a great number of people flocking to a certain place (Yes the tavern is one of them, but people roleplay elsewhere as well, and sometimes flock there..), but eh, I just think more possibilities in general, for roleplay would be much better.

Anyway, that is my two cents on the matter (Well.. More like five dollars, but you get the drift.)

I think the problem is that players can't USE more than half the buildings staff makes in Regalia. And thats why they don't RP in them. A lot of the builds I'm seeing are more empty houses instead of public places.
I actually used the old bathhouse when I could find it, but it got removed too.

((why can't the text keep up with my typing speed? i get this typing lag only on massive's forum))

If given the opportunity to re-design IronHall, I would possibly be the happiest man in the world... I would also be drinking a lot of coffee, because who needs sleep?

-cough- "Not all of Regalia is light and wealth, however. How the Kingdom of Regalia came to be founded long ago was never recorded, but history is evident deep beneath the Empire, under rock and stone. Thousands of years older than the city itself, the island that Regalia resides upon remains a complete mystery, with scholars and historians only scratching the surface of the underground networks laying under the heart of Regalia. Many cults, fanatics, and vampires have made their homes in these catacombs and tunnels, but even they have never ventured too deep under the island. The Regalian underground has been declared an unsafe and hazardous area, and most subjects choose to simply ignore it as they continue their peaceful lives above ground. What truly lies beneath Regalia has been a mystery, andā€”for nowā€”remains so, far from the eyes of the city above." -cough-

Because some people don't have characters that fit the description implied within that passage. And it also implies that people simply ignore it, not that it's blocked off. It's kinda like the fahlein thing at the poor dist. It's accessible, but good luck surviving unless you're that sort that fits into that crowd.

I miss the Emperor's tavern.

Which one? There are like four-five version of it if I remember correctly. And in which location? We talkin' the TAMITS location or the 'Hold W to reach the tavern' location?
