Hello there!
After totally forgetting about my old art thread, I decided to start a new, clean one. I don't know if I'm going to keep this up at all, but oh well it's worth another shot?

Just for the sake of answering some basic questions:

When did you start drawing?
I started out drawing manga when I was 11 years old ( I am currently 17), discovering Mark Crilley's YT channel. I continued doodling clothing on those premade dolls and such, then kept it at doodling in my notebooks for a couple of years. I developed more of an interest in semi-realism, though I didn't really put much effort in practising. I truly started drawing again around 2016's spring, when I got my first digital tablet. I've tried out lots of different styles up until now and I still cannot seem to settle on anything specific, mostly drafting between semi-realism and manga-ish things.

Which tablet do you use?
I use the Wacom Intuos Pro Medium, utilising the Pro Pen as I draw.

It was April Fools on Deviantart okay? Don't judge me nor my sexy pear.

I did one of those group poses drawings, so I guess it's not really that special. It's a fun drawing nonetheless, so I'm just going to post it. Kaja Santorski-Colour.png Thomas-Done.png DahaeColour.png Nydral---MoreRealistic.png BirgitNorrvaktColour.png Syath.png

Also I skin occasionally

So yeah, I hold art auctions sporadically if you ever desire a drawing from me. I mainly draw whenever I feel like it - There can be periods where I draw nothing at all, or I can suddenly throw out a handful of stuff.

What I'd like to say to starting artists is, to not give up or be discouraged by others who seem better to you. Remember that art takes up a lot of time, especially when you want to improve. So keep on going, you'll get there.

THAT GROUP DRAWING IS LITERALLY THE BEST THING I'VE EVER SEEN IN MY ENTIRE LIFE.

Here's a pen sketch I did in my chemistry note book, it's the same avanthar as shown in the original post, mhm.

I still have no name for the dude.

So, eh. I did this. It's my Avanthar, yeye. I looked at some photos with lighting and stuff, basically practising with how light works.

I love love love the style! Beautiful work and I especially like the rougher sketches - gives the piece a bit mire character.

So I drew one of my characters from an MMO RPG so yeah. I also named her after my shendar on massive because, I couldn't think of another name and I like the name?

Enjoy this lil' sketch of Duilio, my Avanthar. I'm practising body proportions and how do you even draw buff people??? Oh well.

Also here's a wip of a commission I'm working on.

Finally finished the commission I was working on. I also drew @Muffins_ 's character Celaireth.

The waving arm/shoulder is a little odd (And maybe the neck is a bit long?), but it was good anatomy practise.

AHHH sorry for probably spamming you with notifications "Conf rated your post-blah blah" XD But AHHHH Why is the shading so good WITCHCRAFT!

its amazing

Fresh Duilio sketch aaaaa. Eyes are wonky lips are wonky and a whole lot of other things as well. I should start correcting those sometime.

Love your art style! Do you take commissions?

I do occasionally! I mostly hold art auctions when I feel up for doing a commission, since I want to feel like I can give the commissioner the drawing they want. After saying that though, you can just shoot me a forum pm if you want to about a commission!

So I posted this post-your-char-thing on my profile page for some quick warm up sketches... I got carried away ok? I was testing a new brushhhhh.

Here's @Kelpsy 's character Naushe, really enjoyed drawing him and I couldn't help myself.

"I'll only do a quick sketch." I thought to myself. AhaHAH no. Looks a little younger than I intended to, but it's 4 am so meh.

Ok so idk the ear is a bit too big and he looks young because the eyes are so bad I cannot, reeeee? #norefs
Let's say it's a happy accident and that I drew Duilio around the age of 20 or something. Testing out my new sketch book and paper and 14 Derwent Procolours I bought today. Can't compare that to my 150 Prismacolours though MUHAHAHA.

Well I've been doodling in my notebooks for school a lot and I managed to only make a handful of post-worthy drawings in the last couple of weeks ehhh.

So this was from quite a while ago and I actually drew more of the body but it was a bit wonky and I only really like the unfinished tophalf. It's only lines but oh well!

Second one's clothing for the slums? I didn't draw the body itself but got it from pinterest because I'm lazy.

Then I drew this for @Lumiess and uhh Mae's a twig but I somehow drew her with broad shoulders. It's all kinds of wonky buuuut it's a pencil sketch so I'm not going to bother correcting it on paper aaaaaa.

Did a drawing for a newly made friend - their character's is called Kohaku, not exactly a massive character but I'm posting it anyway.
I'm also still working on a commission I'll hopefully finish this weekend? Aaaaaaa.

Well, I haven't posted here in a while oops.

I actually doodled in those 2 months but uhhh most are really bad? So I'm only posting some reasonable ones.

I wanted to do a style challenge but I only got to do 1 style so far. The flat version looks really funny if you compare it with the shaded version.

And as I was trying out new styles, this thing came to be:

. . . I should be asleep but my drawing tablet called out to me.

Here's some more semi-realism, sketch.
