The Silence - The Revenants Revelry

The Jist
  • Who are we? - We are all manors of corrupt individuals, from thugs, thieves, and murderers from the dark and dingy sewers, to corrupt merchants, officials, and nobles sitting in the lovely sun of the surface. At the head sits The Returned Revenant, running the show, sitting in both worlds. The underground and the aboveground. We are also made up of all kinds of races, and aberrants as well, with some even going as far to call us Jacobin in our "No one is barred" policy when it comes to hiring.
  • What are we? - We are owners of businesses, using a mercenary operation on the surface, sewer and slum event management, and completely "legit" businesses as a cover to do more shady work, like selling illegal items and robbing folk etc. We are also those who promote trade between the sewer parties, promoting cohesion between them as well.
  • Where are we? - We are both on the surface, and in the sewers, lurking both in the light as noble mercenaries and businessfolk, while also sloughing through the shadows as fences, thieves, and bounty hunters.
  • Why are we? - We work for money, and power in the sewers. However, we also work for cohesion in the slums and sewers, with both the rich and the poor of those areas working as one in cohesion to make sure everyone is at peace to focus on the main threat - the guard and the nobles, while also getting richer through trade deals with one another.

Rules of the Revelry

  1. Those of you who can go on the surface must, and must use your skills either as a member of The Silence (Virio Crumm/Aemolius Krupp's mercenary group) or in one of the many businesses to earn your keep. If you cannot do this due to you being an illegal abberation or a highly hated race, then set up work in the sewers as well.
  2. When doing proper shady work be sure to get yourself in uniform with your face hidden behind a mask (when we get a uniform that is). This is so your identity isn't revealed and our organization isn't then taken down.
  3. Do not break alliances with other groups! Either the Vampires, Kathar, or unaligned Sewerfolk. They are our allies. We will only fight them when we must, or if we have been given consent by their leaders that one of their own is a rotten egg. Breaking alliances means = fighting them randomly, abusing them in any way.
  4. Do not fight with fellow members of the Revelry. They are your teammates after all, and infighting makes us a less effective unit. If they become wanted you may then turn them into the guards when out of armor, however only then. You must then meet with them and beg for their forgiveness.
  5. Aid local businesses. When the local businesses are aided they will aid in making the sewers a better place. Of course after aiding them, make sure they know they owe a debt to the Revelry, but other than that they will be fine...as long as they do not betray us.
  6. Set up events in the Sewers and slum for all to come and interact with, such as brawls and dances. After all, a happy sewer and slum is a productive sewer and slum, and then all will also see the usefulness and joy of the Revelry and might join our cause.
  7. Serve the Returned Revenant and his leading commanders loyally. Breaking that loyalty means you are no true ally of ours and you will be crushed. Serving the Revelry is for LIFE. Not for a while, not for a little bit. Life.
  8. Do not harm the Returned Revenants closest family (EG his wife and daughter) if you know who he is. If you do there will be untold horrors done to you before you die.

Ranks of the Revelry and The Silence

The Returned Revenant aka Mercenary Commander
- Aemolius Krupp aka Virio Crumm​
  • Who are they: The leader of the organization, it is said he died before however returned from death to find himself a place once again with the low folk, despite him being high born. Like some sort of undead, Robin Hood figure.
The Captain

  • Who are they: The second in command of the Revelry and The Silence, they run the show when The Returned Revenant isn't. They do all the leading on missions and such too and guide the groups to victory.
  • Suggested Skills: Combat Sentric (stealth orientated), leadership skills, underworld knowledge (to know Cant)
The Enforcer

  • Who are they: The main enforcers of the Revelry, and just your general mercenaries of The Silence, these are our specialists in combat, using their skills to harm our foes, targets, or the like as well as healing the wounded as well, be that an ally or a fellow member of the Revelry. They also work as scouts for potential places to offer aid and then take over e.g. market stalls and small businesses.
  • Suggested skills: Combat Sentric (stealth orientated or otherwise), underworld knowledge (to know cant)

The Padfoot
  • Who are they: They are our main thieves, aiding in helping us to sneak around and steal important items for profit from the nobility. They will also do some enforcing as well if need be, but mainly they will be sneaking around, stealing stuff, and coming back with their profit.
  • Suggested skills: Rogue training (for stealth, forgery, etc), Athletic training (for speed and mobility when needed), Underworld knowledge (for Thieves Cant)

The Fence

  • Who are they: The main suppliers of weaponry, and illegal goods to sell, as well as being genuine merchants too. They are basically suppliers of all kinds of goods, with fake goods and documents also being theirs to sell, while also being normal merchants in the public eye. They also aid in doing the events for us as well!
  • Suggested skills: Underworld knowledge (LOTS OF IT), Rogue Training (for forgery) Metallurgy skills, Finecraft arts, literary arts, basically anything you can sell using.

The Bird

  • Who are they: The main informants of the Revelry, these are random people in different positions across Regalia, be they working for a noble family, or simply being a merchant themselves. They are most definitely their main scouts as well as being their main deliverers as well, running out to collect deliveries etc.
  • Suggested skills: Underworld knowledge, athletic skills, stealth skills, perceptive abilities, and any skill which can be used to be a servant to do whatever work they do and gather info.
