"To hunt successfully, you must know your ground, your pack, and your quarry. -K.J. Parker"
[Discord]
Let's get down to business.
The Ravager's Revenge is an underhanded bounty hunter guild. Perhaps you're an individual with a grudge, or a debt to settle that you can't seem to do on your own. No worries, for the right price, we'll handle it for you.
We do, however, have a couple of rules we follow.
- Colors | Greens, Golds, Reds
- Symbols | Marrack Ravager, Bows and Arrows, Coin and Contracts
- Values |
- Pro-Occult stance
- Pro-Evolution
- Pro-Collaboration under the banner of a common enemy
- Goals |
- Protect the citizenry of the undercity, allowing them to freely pursue their research, crime, or other potentially criminal acts.
- Enact revenge for a price. Should individuals not be capable of enacting revenge on their own, we can help handle it for them.
- Act as a neutral ground for the mass of Occult, rallying against a common enemy: Purists, Archons, and Knights.
- Maintain the position of the Combat Arm of Kaahl Vaskiirn.
- Protect our own. We are from all walks of life but on duty, all of this is cast aside. It does not matter where you are from or from what plane you draw your essence- we are all brothers and sisters in arms. You can have your squabbles off duty, but cooperation is mandatory while in uniform.
- No man left behind. Citizenry cannot be protected if our members are captured. Even if you have to back out to ensure a means of relaying information, we will always come back to attempt to spring you out.
- Disguises are there to protect ourselves. Do not rat out other individual's disguises or aliases.
- Diplomacy first. Give them one chance to leave before enacting force.
- Guild-based neutrality. We do not assist with wars and conflicts between guilds and clandestine organizations.
- Protect the undercity denizens. Prevent those of Anti-Occult stature from removing individuals from the sewers against their own volition.
Bounties and contracts are accepted with several stipulations:
- We do not accept killing contracts or bounties.*
- Contracts placed on guild members will be handled internally by higher ups.*
- Bounties taken are up at the discretion of the Overseer and the Hunters. A bounty may be declined at any point for any reason, and hunters working together will always receive an even split per person.
- Trophies are mandatory for proof of bounty completion. This could be anything from an identifying piece of cloth, semiprecious item, or other proof of completion. We're not thieves, so leave them with their valuables.
1*) Killing contracts will never be allowed. MAIMING contracts MUST be discussed on an OOC basis between the client, contractor, and bounty. This should be done in a 3 way discord chat between all three, and the chat should be logged to ensure proper permission is given without coercion.
2*) It's an unspoken rule that we don't hunt our own members. This is literally a stipulation to get clients to think that we will listen to their complaints. We won't. If there IS an issue ICly, it will likely be handled through a Dueling Brand duel, or some other fitting punishment (Read: A talking to) at the discretion of the Overseer.

- Optional combat rules are strongly suggested during conflict, but not mandatory.
- Regarding bounties - Attempt to coordinate with the bounty target OOCly.
- Know your skills, your cooldowns, and your timers. Refrain from powergaming.
- Here's a good website for keeping track of multiple timers. You can even rename them!
- Keep OOC conduct clean and respectful. CRP is stressful enough as is.
- No metagaming. This should be obvious enough.
- The guild leaders reserve the rights to review, evaluate, and address a guild member's OOC conduct at any point in time.
- If someone is OOCly causing others distress or harm beyond what is reasonable in the circumstance of CRP and literally being hunted, then they will likely be talked to. If no resolution to the poor conduct is found, they will be temporarily barred from accepting bounties or will be removed from the guild. Such decisions will be discussed with other guild managers if present.
Dominus || The Overseer:
The Dominus is the founder and overseer of the guild, or the current individual taking helm and leading the company. Their duties span a little bit of everything and their word is law. They are the individual who makes and revises the code as needed, and will spearhead the handling of those who do not follow it.
Signari || The Marked:
The Signari- or the Marked, are those found to be the most trustworthy and reliable within the guild. These few are individuals of merit- and are privy to the innermost workings, plans, and plots present in the guild. They are ideally also the most reliable allies in combat, and work well in a team. When the Dominus is absent, they are the next to hand out orders.
Quaesitor || The Seekers:
Quaesitor are those who operate both as managers and seekers, assisting in guiding the hunters in contracts and advising on strategic bounty hunting plans. They are permitted to negotiate and establish new bounties and contracts for the guild.
Venatores || The Hunters:
The Venatores are the general members of the guild- the fully fledged Bounty Hunters. These individuals have proven their competence and either have turned in a successful bounty, or have been with the guild long enough to earn at least basic and initial trust. (About 2 weeks) They are allowed to apply for any bounty or contract they desire, though should attempt to refrain from taking on too many contracts at once. (There is no current rule against this.)
Novicius || The Novices:
Our Novicius are individuals either completely new to the guild, or completely new to the bounty hunting practice as a whole. These are individuals are marked as novice purely for the fact that they are new to us, we are not yet aware of their skillset, and they need to be evaluated. It is suggested that Novicius work with a mentor for their first contract, or at least take an easier, lower impact and less risky contract to start out with.
Still here after all of that? Good. We're accepting new members.
