What is the Nightdrake Movement?

The Nightdrake Movement is a wide-span and diverse protest organization that wish to follow, enforce, and protect the words of The Masked Individual, Nightdrake. There have been numerous instances of repealing the reinforced political structure of the Crown City for decades, however, they all attempted rebellion through violence, and to forcefully shed blood for their intentions to be desired, ultimately falling in the end. The Nightdrake Movement doesn't shed blood to get its point across; it bolsters through the words of free speech and liberty, and will do anything to keep the public informed, no matter the risks, no matter the odds.

Who is the Nightdrake?

The Nightdrake is an anonymous and meticulous intellectual who perceives conflicts in a innovative direction by discovering philosophical, scientific, and political solutions to unsolvable problems. The Nightdrake, however, is no leader, rather a individual who spoke relatable truths in which many follow along the footsteps for vigorous change. The Nightdrake portrays himself as nothing more than a symbol; an idea that boasts the dreadful reality that is kept hidden within the Crown City, an idea that needs to be projected for the public to hear, and persuade others to strive for change, to all corners and all sides that relate the same to his words, and as a unity, that idea will remain unbreakable.

Positions in the Movement

Follower: An individual who agrees with the words of The Nightdrake, and chooses to follow under his footsteps in the full support of the movement's intentions. Followers are prominently those who would spread the words of The Nightdrake to others, but wouldn't go as far as to get themselves in any conflictive dangers, or situational problems that others in the movement might be victimized to, such as high treason against Regalian law.
Disciple: For those with the high devotion to the words of The Nightdrake, and would go as far as to not only follow, but to enforce, and protect by all means. These individuals would be willing to provide goods, and resources to assist the movement when needed, and contribute to protest rallies and other scheduled events the movement may partake in as a strong advocate under The Nightdrake's word.
The Drake's Hand: When it comes to breaking the authoritarian law established in a highly reinforced and militarized city with guards lurking about, The Nightdrake must be protected from such disbelievers that choose to taint his name. This position of the movement is only meant for armed and well trained combatants to stand guard and keep locations secured from any extremists that harm the Nightdrake, and are willing to risk their lives to keep The Nightdrake protected.
The Drake's Wing: Those who eternally protect The Nightdrake from any extremist encounters or quarrels with others. The wing would follow The Nightdrake in the shadows, concealed from the wondering eyes of others to assure the complete protection of The Nightdrake, wherever he may be.

( ^MUST BE A RANGER OR RANGED COMBATANT FOR THIS ROLE^)
The Inner Circle: The organization within the organization. The Inner Circle makes up the most devoted, and significant individuals in the movement, which act similarly as a cabinet for The Nightdrake, and are often called in to attend meetings to articulate formidable plans and discuss ideas in which the movement will partake in.

(^CANNOT BE APPLIED FOR, HAS TO BE EARNED^)

The Nightdrake's Intentions

  • To halt the spreading of stage two unionism.
  • To diminish the popularity of the Unionism Religion, and shame it. The Unionist faith is impure to the eyes of The Nightdrake, as it is perceived as the worship for the wealthy, and the religion of the rich, due to the vast majority of Unionist followers being Nobles and aristocrats.
  • To enforce the removal of Holy Imperial/Canon laws which are focused primarily on Unionist ideology, and are laws that revolve around ethnic, more than ethical reasoning.
  • No race is more or less superior than the other, Racial equality.
  • Abolish the stringent mask restrictions in Regalia, which is considered blasphemous to the physical appearance of The Nightdrake.
  • To repeal the Eleventh Law of the state for disrespecting the Jacobin belief, as it is considered a partial structure that is tied to the similar, but not exact, motives of The Nightdrake.
  • To repeal the Fourteenth Law of the state, which considers any protest under the control of the people's cannot request the legal removal of Regalian law, or change of law. This displeases The Nightdrake, as it is considered treason against the freedom of speech, and petition.
  • To repeal the Twelfth Law of the state, in which justifies the purity of one's self being by their race, preventing these said individuals the rights to contribute to political, civil, or militaristic activities without the consent of the higher class; that be the Emperor or their family. Such a law that deals with the disadvantages of a individual's position, in both word and action, based off of the race of one's being is considered a crime against humanity to The Nightdrake; every and all beings should be given the same liberties as an Ailor, despite their race.

Aldrich simply folded one of these fliers up and sent it to the Inquisition with a small note of "This seems right up your alley."
@Svyatogorye

Once sending one of the fliers on this Orginization to the Inquisition the moderately aged Morgann wrote up a proper response, then had his secretary write many more of the same. Pinning them near some of the more prominent fliers.

Addressed to the anonymous man calling himself the 'Nightdrake'. I will go through each one of your points with you to explain to you how you went wrong with this message.

I wish to express that many before you have tried this, and many before you have been deemed traitorous. The empty proclamations of a single man that hides behind false names and a quill holds no power in Regalia.

With your second point you get no better, even hiding behind religion. While Regalian law has allowed the existence of other religions in the crown city, that does not grant one permission to create a radical group. I would further stress that acting for and or behind the name of a faith in this manner you simply pressure the church and state to strip the gracious tolerance they already show.

To my knowledge aristocrats and nobility already have a hearty taxation bar due to Regalia currently being in a time of war. If you wish to bankrupt our sources of force against enemy forces, continue your pointless actions. Furthermore, I am not certain what tax you are wanting to lower for lower class. I think you want to look into lowering market prices, as taxes aren't a huge concern to common-folk.

It is clear you have no concept on how Regalian government, or how ministries work. Placing all blame onto our glorious emperor and his family would do nothing for you or your cultist causes. I advise you look into our ministerial system before pointing fingers. Continuing, you claim neglect on the slums, though in nearly every attempt government has made to moderate or assist the slums it resulted in casualties of governent and state officials. One week you want help, the next you want bloodshed. Make a general consensus with the population of the slums before demandining assistance. For mentally ill as you put it that has never been a concern of Regalia, though is being looked into by various medical charters throughout the city. Simply because everyone is not corrected at once does not mean nothing is happening. Sanguine, all medical and law enforcemet charters handle those that do not hide in the slums. I covered the slums situation earlier. The rest of this point is simply you rambling and as such I will not respond.

To the point of electorial positions I reffer you once more to look into our electoral ministerial system.

The point of removing cannon law and such is pure personal desire with no backing or rational reasoning.

Your anti bigotry point contradicts itself I believe. Reread it.

You have all these freedoms already, though for religion you are to practise behind closed doors. Do not pressure the church and state to remove these rights.

I dont believe you have ever worked in the city. You are paid for the work you do, not for your name.

Refer to my tax statement earlier.

Refer to my ministerial comment. You're repeating yourself but with different words.

A law surprisingly will not be repealed simply for violating the beliefs of a cult.

Refer to my previous point.

Refer to my previous two points.

In conclusion I urge the Regalian Citizens to abstain from joining this cult, unless you wish to break a multitude of state and canon laws. I further urge our citizenry to oust this 'Nightdrake' and to turn him in to the proper law enforcemet charters.
Thank you.

Gena stares at a poster for a solid twelve minutes before taking one down for reference.

Joormurg Looks at the poster and rips it off the wall reading it in detail before he breaths heavily and keeps it in his pocket "Perhaps they would love to hear this." He said as he walks around the Slums with his axe

The Nightdrake proceeds to examine the opposing note next to one of his fliers, while he boasted a comment to himself, impressed and astounded by the reply, "Fascinating; I surely didn't expect this." He tore off the message and brought it back to his living quarters.

@MetalG00se

Meredith, after skimming the entirety of the flier would remove one for herself like the others, folding the paper carefully as she tucked it away into her satchel.

Once delivering the message back to his home, The Nightdrake embarked writing in a retaliation against this writer's fallacy. He hired a local scribe to produce copies of the note, pinning the message adjacent to the opposing ones.

Sir Morgann,

I am fully sensible of understanding your opposing proclamation of that freedom which I wish to embark on the present occasion; an array of liberties which was portrayed as faulty, and insubordinate to any real meaning. when I reflected on that distinguished, and dignified message of yours; and the almost general prejudice and prepossession which is so prevalent in the world against those of my verbal complexion.

I suppose it is a truth well attested to you, to need a proof here, that we are a organization that relates not to anything of, or closely associated with that of malice cultists, and individuals of terrorism; we have long labored under the abuse and censure of the economic world, only to get the most minimal of pay that of which compares infinitesimally towards those who were born under the pinnacle of this hierarchy, that we have long been looked upon with an eye of contempt, and that we have long been considered rather as disease-ridden beggars than accepted as man, and Scarcely capable of economic endowments for our future generations.

I hope I may safely admit, in consequence of that report which hath reached me, that you are a man far less inflexible in sentiments of this nature, than many others; that you remain measurably friendly and well disposed toward us, and that you are willing and ready to Lend your aid and assistance to our relief from those many distresses and numerous calamities to which we, the Regalian people's, are subjected to.

I suppose that your knowledge of the situation of this war is too extensive to need here; Though shall I presume to potentially prescribe methods by which could assist the economy during times of war.

In the consensus of religion that is agreeably a controversial matter; involving complete infringement under the propositions of the assertive Regalian law; thou I admit, the complete dishonor of one's faith is indeed a heretical opposition and considered a prodigious treason towards the Regalian rule. But to condone the opposing races and support that of Ailor supremacy is considered a questionable aspect in terms of belief in one race's assertive dominion over all which oppose that of such. I understand the diverse branches of the Unionist faith, however the conformity of primacy still revolves the individuals under the authoritarian faith. Now, if I may question further more on the Unionist faith, let it be understandable that I, an individual such as myself, have condoned worship under Unionism for an extent of time, and have known the secrecies that de-bunk the Religion's primordial structure; the unionist faith is focused on the oral teachings of the emperors of Regalia, and spirits of the divine which bind all generations together, "The Imperial Spirit". I urge in question to you, out of all people in this vast body of both water and land, why the Emperor? In the more meticulous of examination, if you pay attention to thou which surround your positions both leftwards and rightwards, who make up the majority of believers in the Creed's sanctioned church? Those with elevated wealth, and those with nobility. Unionism is a cult in itself, and you among many are their cultists.

I ask of you, if these are sentiments of which you are fully persuaded by, I hope you cannot but acknowledge that it is the indispensible duty of those who maintain amongst themselves the rights of liberty, and who profess the obligations to my words; to extend their power and influence to the relief of every part of the Crown City, both poverty and wealthy alike, from whatever burthen or oppression we may unjustly subject under, and further more magnified by your efforts to report our name to the Inquisition of our proclaimed freedoms, and this I apprehend a full conviction of the truth and obligation of these principles should be heard by every, and all alike; that I condone not of physical violence, nor do my affiliates who follow my footsteps for historical change, but rather words of common protest for a better city, and I can assure you that what apprehensive instigations you throw at our liberties won't tread on our motives; what does not halt us makes us stronger.

Aldrich let out a long sigh while he sat in his office reading the response. Clear disappointment from the sign off. "He is still hiding behind that silly name."
After his comment he asked his secretary to make note for a possible response on his next free day. Whenever that should be.

Fawzi skipped over the flier as it was too long for him to read.

Progression Edits:
  • Due to the recent event of the emperor descending from his throne to further promote Unionism, the movement will now primarily fight against the further spread of the Unionist ideology.
  • All previously listed intentions have either been discarded, achieved, or considered irrelevant.
  • The Nightdrake movement now accepts all who worship another religion besides Unionism. Including those in void cults.
  • Preventing the spread of "Stage two" Unionism is now a top priority in the movement's intentions.

This movement will most likely outdo anything I tried to do with the Great Regallian Renegade, not enough time on my hands. Went from renegade to outlaws den, didn't really appreciate the direction it took anyways, as crime was not the intended way I wanted to go. Glad someone else agreed, directly or indirectly, doesn't really matter.

To those who do wish to join a rebellion or movement, ready yourself to harassment and meta gaming instances, not mentioning names, but it comes from all sides. Of course I am not innocent, I have done my fair share of instances, and my only excuse was because it happened to me, not a logical or acceptable one. Your friends may become enemies, they may even want the fame (whether good or bad) for themselves, but nothing is perfect when going against the law, just be prepared, and I know, I'm quite late. Anyways, I believe this would be a great role play experience, and hope it thrives and flourishes.

This is amazing! I always love to see groups like this. Gives an air of tension and the like. I wish you all good luck with this group, and I can't wait to see your influence more out on the streets of Regalia! @BTrooper19
