Do you try to be nice?

I remember my first days of massivecraft: I had a hard time getting started, and hunger was an issue. That's why I created the noob sanctuary of WilderFend. I often give food and housing to new players, and welcome the travelers that occasionally pass through. I seem to have great luck, as no one I've helped has ever stabbed me in the back. It's hard to believe, but there ARE randomly nice people in Massivecraft. You just have to find them ;)

I met a girl who let me into their faction on the first day I got on, she let me harvest the millions on crops they had so after a while one by one people went AFK for 20 days and I scored a few Diamond swords. but I wasn't a man of war(at the time) so when a new player would get on I would skype them because if you skype them first it creates a more personal bond making them think that your their friend, back to the story, I led like around 10 people to my (Abandoned) faction area because I was left behind in the portal, some one griefed the portal and the faction leader didn't reset the /f home. I gave a total at least like... ALOT of diamond picks and swords away so they can make it themselves but they later found guilds. I'm friendly to people who arn't armored because they can't fight back in the first place.

First of all everyone in kelmoria is after your stuff Jack The Unseen, I went after one bandit that ambushed me while i was afk. Then before i caught up with him I met two more who killed all meh puppehs. Someday I will have my revenge... If i can remember their names that is.

Second of all, you can really almost tell who is untrustworthy. I always have a funny feeling about certain people that used to be in my faction. For every one we were greifed. It's probably something with their behavior but I think anyone can catch on to those subtle hints that humans naturally give out. You should trust your instincts more.

I don't know what category to put myself into, I'm not angelic, holy, nice and all that... and I am usually only spiteful in roleplay. I am usually not viewed as nice considering I'm usually people's first target to tease, and then I become very spiteful IRL and possibly in game. I really don't fit into any of those categorys.

It is nice to be nice :)
I once met a newbie in ellador who was terrified of me(i was a prem in full diamond that approached him from behind)
I decided to give him some food and followed him around a bit to make sure he made it to wherever he was going.
Eventually we ran into an unarmed vampire. He acted friendly at first, but then right as my friend turned around the vampire went full bloodlust. He killed the noob, took his stuff and started to run. Luckily for my new friend I had a stick on me and decided to give chase. I chased him for 5 minutes before i was able to catch up with him. I ran him through with the stick and returned my friends inventory.(he didn't have anything relatively valuable) After i killed him I got a death threat from the vampire saying he would get me back. (I scoffed at his threat) Never heard from the vamp again or my friend either. I feel like i did a good deed that day.:)

That sounds a bit like how I met the faction of Kindred when I was in Aishta. I simply was wandering around, seeking for some stuff to raise my hunger level and loot for what we could use, I walk by a broken mansion, it becomes day {I was a Vampire at the time, I didn't have an approved RP character however I still wasn't that bad at it.}
I'm sitting there in the shade, waiting for Night, however I was armoured in chainmail and a sword, knowing I might need it in case of mobs. First thing I see;
Luthien rushing up to me in diamond armour and sword, and immediately questioning my presence. I think that kinda was how I originally got scared of her, not just as she does a good job at RPing a quite startling way, but because the first memory of her was a Diamond knight coming at me with full enchant and a diamond blade.
Everytime I see a passer-by, I also like to direct them around to where they need to go, or help protect them getting there, as I not only can gain trust from their faction if they are an officer, but also because even simply guiding someone back to their house or to a Temple could really change if they become a big help or a big enemy. I like helping people around and defending them, it helps me feel... Accomplished, I suppose. I am just the same in real life, still afraid of Luthien and also trying to protect those whom want and need it.

I find it sad that most people act that way. There's always the thrill of acting friendly and going for a back stab every once in a while but come on. PVP with honor for once people. XD

I'm a premium who goes around slaughtering armored newbies with nothing but a diamond axe. I don't use armor, so if they can't defend themselves, then they should expect to be murdered :D

Personally I like testing people to see if they are trustworthy before i invite them to my faction... sadly all the good ones are normally taken.

I will agree u are a nice man, but u do happen to freak out at the lowest of stuff, if u can control that maybe u can make more friends.

If they can't defend themselves from a guy with no armor no matter the weapon. They kinda deserve to die a little bit. (In game.)

This replay may be a bit late but I felt it was necessary.
The very first time I met Luthien was near Kindred as well, pretty close to the spawn. I was a premium living in Ithania with nothing to do. So, I checked out what was going on in Ithania on dynmap. There happened to be 4-5 players all over this fort(Unclaimed) near the Ithanian spawn, close to kindred, so I decided to check it out.(No intention of killing anyone unless in self defence, I'm not that kinda guy). So I headed over to this fort and I see these two guys inside closing their portcullis and I ask if I can come in and to my surprise they let me in and we exchanged hello's.(They were new to the server and built the fort) I asked what was going on and explored their fort a bit, It was a decent fort and they lived underneath it. They said that a group of vampires attacked them moments ago, so I sprung into defence mode. I saw that there were three of them in the forest nearby, so I decided to go towards them. Once I got there, Luthien showed up in diamond armor as well. She asked what we were doing here and I informed her of the situation. We asked the vampires(they were newbies as well)why they were there and I forget why, but me and Luthien had to kill everyone to keep a ceasefire between the groups. Eventually me and Luthien got bored of solving it and we went our own ways. I gained some respect for Luthien from that experience and I enjoy her neutral stance in morals, makes her unpredictable.

I'm nice to new people, I even give them food so they won't starve. Though there is no need to do this anymore, since you get food at spawn..
Anyway, after I got killed by a bandit the second time, I never felt sorry for killing someone again. I started setting up traps in my base, and people who died there kindly left their stuff for me in the hoppers :3
Once I got killed during a Baver attack, so I did /home to get some food, and there was someone in poor armour, camping on my bed. After he killed me 4th time (Yes, I tried to talk to him in a calm and friendly way), I went to my faction, grabbed a couple of lava buckets and did /home again. Good thing he wasn't a Dakkar :D
