FROM THE DESK OF THE MERCENARY EXECUTIVE SECOND DECREE, 18TH OF JULY, 309AC Preface Business is going smoothly for the Mercenaries of Regalia. The brave bladesmen and women have their hands full with ever increasing amounts of contracts, and in turn, by dedicating to the completion of these contracts, they are earning themselves all the more gold, prestige and honour. While the progress the Mercenary Executive has made with the success in his position is being actively maintained, it is equally important to supplement it with further add-ons and changes to the hierarchy and overall system, to ensure the growth of the Mercenary business in the Crown Isle. Thus, with that in mind, the Mercenary Executive announces the following changes and introductions. Regarding the Executive Staff of the Mercenary Keep, Firstly, with the direct suggestion of the Defensive Minister, Grand Duke Jared Bancroft, the Mercenary Executive is naming Grand Duke Florian Peirgarten as a Direct Assistant alongside Lord Alfred Wulfmacht. (@kirishark) Secondly, Mercenary Nazareth has been named one of the Stewards of the Mercenary Executive. (@Acosmism) One Steward position remains available for application. For further information on Mercenary Stewardship, refer to the first decree. Thirdly, in order to breathe life into the Mercenary Keep that largely goes unused, the Mercenary Executive is creating the following offices in the Executive Staff that can be applied for by sending a letter to the Mercenary Executive to schedule a meeting. Mercenary Keep Blacksmith Must be a person proficient with the art of smithing weapons and armor. Must forge new weapons, armor, crests and other commissions at the request of the Mercenary Executive and the Executive Staff. Will be recognized as the owner of the Forge within the Mercenary Keep, as well as the adjacent armory, both of which they may utilize freely. Will receive monthly payments from the Mercenary Executive that must only be spent on buying materials for weapon or armor commissions. Mercenary Keep Physician Must be a person proficient with medical sciences. Must treat wounded Mercenaries within the Mercenary Keep, patch up their injuries and improve their health through medical means when necessary. Will be recognized as the manager of the Medical Wing within the Mercenary Keep, which they may utilize freely. Will receive monthly payments from the Mercenary Executive that must only be spent on buying medical supplies and necessary alchemical concoctions. In further news, The following addendum has been placed on the Contract Board: "When creating a Contract that involves capturing a criminal, it is the obligation of the Contractor to additionally report the crime to the Violet Order, in order to make any future punishments legitimate." The Mercenary Executive has done away with the grading system in Mercenary Rankings. There are now only Ranks from First Rank to the Fourth Rank, with no grading in-between, to simplify the process. This however also increases the difficulty of rank-ups. Generally speaking, Mercenaries who excel in performing the below bulletins will increase their chances for rank-up. Completing Contracts serially, or completing them before others can, or organizing groups of Mercenaries to complete Contracts and being the leader of the group. Maintaining an active presence within the grounds of the Mercenary Keep, regularly interacting with the Mercenary Executive, the Executive Staff, and other Mercenaries. Displaying good conduct, devoid of unnecessary aggressiveness and bloodlust, abiding by rules and general expectations, and respecting the hierarchy of the Mercenary Executive. If holding a position in the Executive Staff, performing ones duties loyally and actively, never slacking from responsibilities, and dedicating time and effort to their position. With the above in mind, the Mercenary Executive is going to announce promotions in the Mercenary Ranking System to the Mercenary Circle (aka, in the Mercenary Community Discord, which you may join through this invite). A reminder to create new Contracts, give the Mercenaries more jobs to tackle. In order to find out how you can create a Contract, refer to the Contract Board.
