Family History:

The Kia'loraal family traces its roots back to the Minerian Naut City of Sun'dia, with potential origins in Coruntium dating a century after the Regalian Empire's foundation in the reign of Leomar I. They were established as a private Xeradon cult within the city that eventually intertwined bloodlines to form a family. Despite not being Sun'dia's proprietors, they wielded considerable influence in its development by providing financial backing for various construction projects, especially in their dockyards. As the city flourished, so did the prosperity of the Kia'loraal family. Eventually, the family would come into administrative positions in Olvaan Masselis's docks and become wealthy by becoming exporters. This venture would expand into the Naut City Shipping Company, a Kia'loraal-owned shipping business that among other similar traders in the region made them well off. Their religious restrictions shifted when the Kathar immigrated en masse to Mineria from the Dread Empire, which required the family to allow for Evolism within its workforce.

In the year 173. AC, the family patriarch, Aehanoc, and his wife, Desheria, mysteriously disappeared under suspicious circumstances, leaving their sixteen-year-old son Anethor to assume leadership of the family. Anethor continued to practice Xeradon worship in private due to the predominance of Evolists in the city, publicly asserting that the family upheld an agnostic belief.

However in 193. AC, Anethor vanished for a staggering one hundred and nineteen years, leaving the family estate in disrepair, casting uncertainty on the house's future, and causing the Shipping Company to go bankrupt. Anethor returned to Sun'dia in 312. AC, revealed by family members the passing of a hidden brother and the presence of several family members. Subsequently, he journeyed back to Regalia, rallying the remaining family members, and commenced the arduous task of rebuilding the family's reputation and re-establishing their business.

In the month following several Regalian campaigns to Amontaar in 312. AC, Anethor abruptly departed Regalia, declaring a transfer of House leadership to Aoife so he could directly oversee the Naut City Shipping Company. With few remaining family members, this decision posed a significant challenge as the House risked expulsion from both Regalia and Sun'dia for their business failures. In light of her uncle's unexpected departure and presumed permanent absence from Regalia, Aoife faced the difficult choice of breaking from House Kia'loraal and establishing a new cadet branch or remaining with their diminished name. Seeking support from Talala, the two deliberated late into the night and ultimately decided to keep House Kia'loraal away from falling into the pockets of history, committing to restoring their reputation from the ground up. The family soon came to a conclusion of transferring house leadership to the elder cousin, Talala soon after.

General Information:

House Kia'loraal is a family of primarily Fin'ullen who are skilled administrators of the Naut City Shipping Company, a maritime industry that conducts trade along the Minerian coastline and beyond. The family has privately been a large Xeradon cult for the last two centuries until primary family members split into other Religions. Many current members of the house come from a secondary line that was unlinked to the family for several years, which caused their influence in Sun'dia to diminish. Their role in Regalia is to use their smaller fortune to conduct trade deals with the other aristocratic houses and restore a tattered reputation.

House Kia'loraal is culturally positive towards:

The Bonfire Lodge

Floral Delights Bakery

Viridian Order

Scribe Guild

Aelrrigan Order

The Festlight Society

The Wardward Society

House Kia'loraal is culturally negative towards:

Mortis Tithe

Lothar Order

Argentum Order

Appearance Information:

Members of House Kia'loraal are primarily Fin'ullen, born with a genetic mutation that leaves each member of the bloodline with heterochromia; one blue eye and one green. Other non-occult mutations are common among Fin'ullen and family members can choose to customize their character's hair and tone colors based on their preferences. Half Ailor also exists within the family because of the Anglian presence in Olvaan Masselis.
