THOUSANDS PERISH IN BATTLE AGAINST KATHAR; GENERALS REGROUP

~ 26 June, 307

In an astounding and upsetting loss, the Kathar menace has, through vile magic and trickery, managed to deal a heavy tactical loss to the Empire. According to the confirmed reports from the Front, for every One Kathar that perished in the battles and skirmishes, Three Regalians fell also.

The beginning saw the Regalian Army under the joint command of Field Marshals Viduggla and von Drachenburg who were tasked with the investing of Nuthotehk, a highly walled and guarded city of the Elven Moors. Three Generals stood under Field Marshal Viduggla's command: Generals Harhold, Norrvakt, and de Vinicii; each entrusted with detachments of 50,000 soldiers each. It was reported that the city had at minimum 150,000 Kathar manning it's walls.

In support of this massive undertaking was Division Admiral Christopher Black with two Girobaldin Fregats and a further 15 warships and Wing Admiral Karl Gustav av Nystrom with an unspecified number of ships. In a feat of naval prowess, all opposing enemy ships were destroyed by the two Admirals with no losses by the Empire.

It is reported that as the battle turned against the Imperial forces, General Harhold ordered a retreat, averting complete and total disaster. As this occurred, Field Marshal von Drachenburg's forces were ambushed by Wolond savages.

As the assault on Nuthotehk was routed, a truly vile force of Undead commanded by the Kathar appeared before Merkar'sarh which was under the command of Field General Aldwyn Howlester. Fighting was reported extremely intense, with encirclements in the city occurring against the Howlester commanded soldiers. However, control of the city was saved by the beating drums of the returning troops from Nuthotehk, entering the city to annihilate the enemy. It was at this point that the Kathar refused to engage and withdrew.

LORD COMMANDER HOWLESTER REMINDS OLD TOWN OF THEIR PLACE

~ 25 June, 307

The Lord Commander of the Violet Order has affirmed that the Violet Order will enforce neutrality in the so called Rose Court and reminds the gangs of Old Town, especially the infamous Nace of Kinverla, that another act of aggression against the guard will result in something not too pleasing for them. Conversely, he reaffirmed that his guards are not immune to prosecution and that official complaints may be made in the event a guard is corrupt or abusive.

THE IMPERIAL TIMES IS SEEKING WAR CORRESPONDENTS

~ 14 June, 307

With the advent of spring and summer now in full swing, the season for warfare has come once again. This publication is seeking four war correspondents to be attached to the three armies and the navy. Those interested do not have to be combatants but may be preferred due to the high risk of combat and lethality of the Kathar.

LIST OF CONFIRMED CASUALTIES
~ 26 June, 307
{A list of hundreds and thousands of tiny printed names would go on and on throughout the pages of the paper, among them - counted as just another casualty, would be Eomaric of Morra.}

"Simply put, I did not suppose that the Grey-skins could have the boldness they did. Nevertheless, while this means the war will be harder fought, in the end, Regalia will stand triumphant. We will repay every drop of Regalian blood spilled soon, and when we do, they will regret ever crossing swords with us."

Enzo Celso wrote another letter to Leonard Underwood to work at the The Imperial Times, hoping this letter did not get burned this time.

Bel-Gyarhyabrin propped himself up on a bench within the Altalar greenhouse. He slowly read through the page until arriving on the article about Aldwyn Howlester's defense of Merkar'sarh. He nodded softly, remembering the battle rather vividly in his head.

"Commander Howlester did good work. Tal'Sieth might as well have been guiding my glaive during that battle though. Let's hope I can bring another great battle to Sol Malcarno's ears and more souls to Tal'Sieth."

Looked around the greenhouse, wondering who he was even talking to before shrugging to himself and reading the rest of the article.

Haeddi Harhold neatly cut out her father's statement and kept it quite proudly on her desk with the words 'Regalia will stand triumphant' boxed around in ink.

Elizabeth Typhonus read the paper, "A good thing we retreated, quite sad to see this many casualties though.." she sighed and placed down the paper to look out a nearby window of the estate, she donated a decent sum of money from her personal savings to the war effort though she wished the charity ball would of still taken place, any charity event would leave out any freaks for sure.

Elm Underbridge sighed partly in boredom, set the paper down and returned back to hastily writing, looking through mounds of paper sporadically with a few previous copies of The Imperial Times littering his makeshift desk.A half genuine grin broke across his face and he started organizing the papers into a mound of white and black.

When you gonna start pinning things to walls and using string to connect them, while also wearing a tinfoil hat on your head?
