The Imperial Duelist League

| History |
The Imperial Duelist League was established in 305 AC, originally spearheaded by Emperor Cedromar I, it served as an impromptu fighting tournament for participants of various combat backgrounds, schools or orders. It was a tournament worth participating in, as there was favor of the Emperor to be won, and the title of that year's Imperial Duelist Champion.

In 309 AC, the Imperial Master of Prowess Stalvinge Viduggla oversaw the process of re-establishing the League. Yet, instead of an annual tournament, the title of Imperial Duelist Champion would change monthly, with a new tournament starting at the beginning of each month. Duelists will face off against each other in the ring before a crowd, with each fight having 5 minutes allotted to it. The tournament is judged by the Scheidsrechter, a referee and usually a Master of Prowess. The Scheidsrechter will judge fights based on how well they feel the competitors have fought, or how much showmanship they put into a fight, meaning even someone who could be considered losing, might win. The winner of the month's Imperial Duelist League will hold the title of Duelist Champion for the rest of the month, and may receive other rewards for their victories.

| Rules of the League |
1. The Scheidsrechter's decision is final.
2. There will be no rolls/predetermined victories.
3. Both participants may duel until the five minutes are up, a participant yields, or the Scheidsrechter ends the fight.
4. Magic, abilities & ethereal weapons are banned.
5. All are equal in the ring, meaning both those from the noble peerage and the common rabble can participate.
