Greetings to all,

Combat is service, be it in the armed ranks of the Imperial Guardforce, aboard the mighty warships of the Regalian armadas, or filling the boots of the levy ranks. So too, however; is the job of the gladiator. The gladiator serves as a means of entertainment for the good noble class, allowing those of the lower classes to represent a Great House and take centre stage on the sands of the arena. Be it victory or defeat, the sands will always have a story today.

It is why I am pleased to announce the establishment of the Imperial Gladiatorial Games. A league of duels in which House Champions to each of the Noble Houses in this city will compete with one another, battling through the chart until one victor shines above the rest- fighting in honour to the House they represent, and the Imperial Court.

Unlike most other displays of combat, the Games will decide victors based on the support of the spectators- under the final decision of the sitting Master(s) of Prowess. Event-days will only include one or two duels in each with betting odds decided by the Masters of Prowess to allow the nobility to cast bets on beforehand.

Additional Information

Houses will be free to name who they wish when selecting a House Champion with the understanding that their conduct on the sands falls onto the reputation of their house. Once the majority of Champions have been named, a line-up of duels will be drawn up with specific rules drawn up prior to each game-day for the purpose of fairness, and entertainment...

Finally, House Champions may include members of the peerage, however, the Masters of Prowess encourage families to search among the lower classes for signs of skill and talent to represent them on the sands of battle.
