The House de Santigo.

giphy.gif

Regarding Family History.

The Santigo family comes from humble beginnings. Originating in a small fortified port town in the Kingdom of Lusits, Santigo, the small fishing family flourished. Growing rapidly as a proponent of local stewardship and leadership, the family has always known greatness in it's albeit almost menial ways.

The family, for the most part, was quite unknown to the greater world for quite some time. Until relatively recent years, the majority of this longstanding line of Lusitsians had not left the kingdom, and the profitable business of smuggling had been enough to tide them over, though, this didn't continue forever--through a brash campaign as privateers the House was offered a small Barony in Bragacao. The family has grown in both fame and infamy in all sorts of corners of the world, first in the Imperial Navy, then rumoured for their daring attacks as pirates, and in a rather uncouth turn of events as players in the Regalian political scene. That is before the House was unfortunately pushed out of Avanca by an array of smaller political efforts. Without local support of other Lords as a result of their rather unruly reputation in the City the family was forced to flee their lands in Bragacao. The House Santigo, without the political or economic firepower to hit back against the merchants of the land was forced to withdraw.

Although they no longer have the influence they once had, the Santigo family still seem to have a fair sum of money, many claim that it's a result of piracy and smuggling, as well as other illicit trades... at least if you would believe tearoom gossip.

Regarding Heraldry.

The House Banner and Coat of Arms of the Santigo family is split into four quadrants with an alternating black and crimson pattern. Atop the shield or banner is a brazen bull head. Different varieties of the heraldry are accompanied by different things but the shield is always cradled by a pair of roses, a pair of cutlasses and two mermaids - it is not uncommon to see different designs with other nautical iconographies like anchors, swallows or north stars.

  • Character name: Arabella Drummond
  • Character Age: 22
  • Character Race: Claith-Ailor
  • Position you're applying for: Steward
  • In-game Punishments: None
  • How active are you per week: About 3-5 hours a day. More often on the weekends, though.
  • How long have you rp'd: 1 year
  • Why do you deserve the position: My character Arabella is a person who has grown up on an island for a majority of her life, and has experience with ships, smuggling, and anything to do with water and pirates. If I am speaking of me as a person, I'd rather have something to do on Regalia other than wait for someone to approach me so that I can roleplay. I wish for a purpose, I suppose.
  • How experienced are you in said position: I have experience in acting as a servant for a number of people, and i'm experienced in descriptive actions and fighting rp.

  • How long have you rp'd: I've been roleplaying on Massivecraft for 4 years and 7 months and been roleplaying on other games and servers for about two years before that
  • Why do you deserve the position: I think that I deserve the position because I'm very well versed in roleplay and Regalian lore, and have served guard positions before on my extended time on this server.
  • How experienced are you in said position: As stated in the last question I've done guard work a few times on the server. In addition to this I basically created Johnathon to do guard work and things of that nature so I think that I'm both experienced and qualified for the position.

The d'Souza Family.

Regarding Family History.

The d'Souza family comes from humble beginnings. Originating in a small fortified port town in the Kingdom of Lusits, Santigo, the small fishing family flourished. Growing rapidly as a proponent of local stewardship and leadership, the family has always known greatness in it's albeit almost menial ways.

The family, for the most part, was greatly unknown to the greater world for quite some time. Until relatively recent years, the majority of this longstanding line of Lusitsians had not left the kingdom, and the profitable business of smuggling had been enough to tide them over, though, this didn't continue forever. The family has since grown in both fame and infamy for their daring attacks as pirates, then as political players in the Regalian noble scene before the current patriarch ultimately gave up his title in favour for a more 'modest' lifestyle.

Though they are no longer noble, they continue to run various small fisheries, ship yards, tabacca plantations and apple orchards—amongst some more lucrative illegal businesses, at least, if you would believe the back alley whisperings in the slums.

Regarding Heraldry.

The House Banner and Coat of Arms of the d'Souza family is split into four quadrants with an alternating black and crimson pattern.

Would you be willing to have one of your currently unplayed house members body snatched and impersonated by a Slizzar trying to infiltrate the Regalian nobility?

The family lore has been updated to reflect the approval of the 'Fallen Nobility' special permission.

Applications are currently open, free reign character design. Surprise me!

House Santigo lost their lands and titles when forced out by neighbouring House Anahera. Unable to defend themselves on their own, and without the help of other local Lords as a result of bad reputation amongst nobility in Regalia the remaining family members fled and were not seen for several months. Recently, House Santigo members have been seen returning to the City, although not many and retain a relatively low profile, at least in comparison to the norm for House Santigo.
