The Black Armada is a Regalian battleship fleet, privately owned by the House Black. It is primarily an offensive fleet, supporting a doctrine of wiping out or subduing enemy fleets, and using superior firepower and/or innovative tactics to establish control over coastlines. The fleet is generally able to deploy in any part of the world.
When required, the fleet also engages in reconnaissance activities, as well as the day-to-day protection of Regalian trade routes and the provision of support to Regalia's landing armies. During times of peace, the Black Armada may be observed pursuing exploratory missions of unchartered waters and coastlines as well.
Members of the Black Armada personnel are privy to confidential tactical meetings and have access to occupational equipment and materials, such as heavy artillery and gunpowder, when "on-duty". Confidential tactical meetings are held every one or two weeks. To join the Armada, write a letter to the Admiral Christopher Black detailing your qualifications and experience; or approach him in person.
OOC Notes:
"On-duty" typically means actively working on the ships in progression posts only. Access to occupational equipment and materials is strictly forbidden in-game, in the city, where Armada characters are normally considered to be "off-duty".

Christopher Black, Admiral of the Black Armada, and Wing Admiral of the Imperial Marshal Cabinet, seeks to employ brave Regalian men and women who wish to join the coming naval campaigns against the Dread Empire. You were reccomended to me the Ser Cypri de Letoirneau in order to deal with the Kathar assault. I have many years worth of sailing experience and wish to help in this predicament.

Your contributions towards aiding the Empire during recent catastrophes, such as against the Anglian Mist, have certainly not gone unnoticed. I consider you a real asset to the Empire and a friend. Having said that, I am currently particularly looking for those with very specialised naval skills to fill the fleets; i.e., sailors, navigators and the like. We may be in need of your arcane knowledge along the road, if we encounter things that are not natural, however. Similarly, in the future, we may also be in need of ship "foot soldiers" or marines. I am sorry, I truly am, but I cannot envision placing a man, who is intended to be providing spiritual guidance and leadership to a crew on the naval frontlines, in such a role, when he has so recently abandoned his own men on the battlefield in their time of need. In a naval line of battle, sailors and gunners are taught to hold their ground and continue doing their job, no matter how vicious the sounds of cannon fire and the screams of their wounded friends become around them. You see, the moment the line of battle is broken, the enemy can divide and conquer one's fleet, and so one must have nerves of steel during a naval encounter to prevent such a fracture from occurring. I suggest proving yourself once more, to those who depend on you in their times of need, first; and then consider reapplying for a position with the Armada. (Rejected!)
