Recently, A nobody, Riki5, Witnessed somebody dying on the streets of Regalia. Most of the time, people do return this to the person who died, but he even lied about it, it was his, and then run off with it.

Cant we make sure that inside of Regalia, you keep your items?

(Sorry for small thread, had to do it quickly.)

Wait... Riki stole the stuff, or Riki saw someone steal it?

I once didn't realize I was non perm and died of fall damage and lost a bunch of god stuff to noobs who ran away or logged off. +1 Support

๖ۣۜI remember seeing a thread with the exact recommendation on here, actually... I don't remember what happened to it, but considering we still lose stuff, it looks like they probably disagreed or threw it far down their list of already bulging priorities. Nonetheless, I still would kind of like this feature...

I lost a lot items I needed for rp after dying in the abusement park. I even offered to buy/trade for them but the jerk who took them immediately ran off and posted that he was selling them in trade.

There has been a post about this, but it had been knocked down... Regardless I agree. +1 support

I support it, since if the items stolen in the city may hault roleplays in progress. It's not the same when dying in the wilderness. thats a risk you take, and the spoils pk'rs get.
But in the roleplay hubs like cities- I make a point to seperate my 'forgaing-gaming-items' from my strictly roleplay items. These are things used for the purposes of the plot. It's extremely disruptive if you accidentally drop them, or- try to pass them and someone interfiers- and so you need to find new ones for what you were playing, putting everything on hold.
It's like:
Example
"Oh no! He's dying! The acursed poison is too strong! What do we do?!"
"Here- take this special potion!"
*accidentally dies and the stuff is picked up*
(( umm- can you please pass that back? we need it to keep going.))
(( I don't care.)) [ dances around ]
(( please? It's needed for this rolplay))
(( Nope- mine now.))

(( -sigh- uhh, ok , does anyone have a replacment? no? ...dangit... lets forget it then,. Say it didn't happen.))
-- group moves on, or has to change what happens. or tries again later- asuming this thief isn't following them-- ect.

I think the only issue this would have is- this wont stop people from randomly taking your stuff when you transfer- but it's a start?

Yeey guys, thanks for all the support! I'll try to make the request look a little bit better, seeing I did it on my phone in like five minutes!

Yesterday I handed back two peoples' inventory's after they'd died. And I gave up my bow to someone who's was stolen. So, yes, they should probably fix that up for non-prems inside Regalia, if it's not too much work.

I do agree- it would be a most marvelous idea; however, you must take into account that a lot less people would /need/ to buy premium if they spend a majority of time in Regalia. So that's less money for the server- I do understand that you don't wish to take away the funds that the server recieves however, in retrospect that will happen.
Therefor, I'm going to say- not supported.

Also, since my previous post was completely satirical, I do have to say that if you die in Regalia, you need to relearn the fundamentals of Minecraft survival. It is, after all, a survival game.
So no support.

I wouldn't support this because as others have said, no death in regalia=no need to buy premium to protect items

I for one actually think this is a great idea.
Yes, it's a simple "thing" to buy premium, and I agree it's a well rounded way to support the server.
However, since when was premium simply about "fall damage"?
If you visit the feature page of Premium, you will noticed that it has more then "fall damage" as it's features.
If anything, it's been suggested time and time again to give all people no drops when Passive Death.

Therefore, it's my belief that people suggesting that you should otherwise just buy premium, are just looking for a excuse to be "Indy" and disagree, and haven't taken into consideration the other benefits Premium should be bought for.
If people solely relied on Fall damage as the feature of Premium, I'm sure most people would just be careful not to Fall.

In Summary, I Support 1+ this, and strongly recommend this be implemented, for what ever that counts for..

@Lady Rose

I personally do not see a need for this to be implemented, the only reason you would die in Regalia is,
A: you ran out of food and starved.
B: you were fart arsing around on a roof of some sort and fell to your miserable death.

You can fix this by bringing yourself some food or not being a spastic on top of a roof, where technically if you did fall you would break legs or die in which other people could scavenge the items from your body.

or if you are still planning to do all these silly things and still want to carry a bunch of stuff on you at all times, Buy premium.

Just my opinion, I may have missed something when reading, but yeah.

I support this idea.

In roleplay, Regalia has 'a guard on every corner'. These guards would not allow petty thieves to steal items from seriously injured individuals (since you can only die if you start a fight, falling only cripples you). Besides this, there are times (like Baver attacks and roleplay using actual potions and actual deaths for added realism) where death happens either by accident or by default of bad luck (baver). As such, there shouldn't be lost items in Regalia.

From a gameplay standpoint, Regalia is NOT a survival map - you can't mine, farm, or otherwise resupply there unless you purchase items or are given them by another player. On top of this I don't think that the server should support "you died, i steal ur stuff and be a duche now" gameplay.

Lastly, to those who said "buy premium" I say "grow up". Donating is nice and all, but I think loads more people would do it if Regalia gave a preview of the premium perks. Naturally, outside of Regalia you're still just a non-prem, but inside of Regalia they could deactivate certain aspects of premium, keeping only the ones that are deemed 'addictive' enough to get people wanting Premium. Lastly, premium is not the end-all be-all of MassiveCraft, it is just a donation that has perks. Most roleplayers (who are the ones that suffer the most from item drops in Regalia) don't have the ability to gather the 2-3 thousand regals needed to buy a month of premium, and those same roleplayers probably don't have the real-life funds to afford it either.

Just my pocket change...

I support this.. People who are non-prem shouldn't be able to lose stuff on death, because admit it, stuff happens, and you can accidentally die. Sure you could just get premium , but as stated before; it has many more perks than just not losing items. Besides.. They will still lose items on death outside of Regalia, and will only keep stuff on death inside of it, so there is still a reason to be premium.. It will not ruin premium; there are way more perks than just not losing items on death. As @Mecharic stated; there are npc guards all around the city, and not just the ones players roleplay. Do you really think that a guard will be like "That guy fell off of a roof, and is seriously injured, might as well let everyone just loot his crippled very injured body, while I sit here, and watch.." Seriously.. Be realistic people, this is a roleplay server, and regalia is a city, that is civilized. Guards wouldn't even let you loot the body of an actual dead person, let alone a person who isn't dead yet. If you think of it at a logical, and realistic stand-point this is a relatively good idea. This is a roleplay server that is supposed to be realistic in terms of medieval roleplay. So if a guy died in front of you; would you just walk up to him, and start searching him for valuables? It would be illegal, in terms of roleplay. You have my support for this one.

@Mattium_

As a premium how do you think I would feel if they began giving privileges that I pay for (with money I work hard to earn) to people who do not pay for them?
It's only in regalia. Not outside it. So premiums don't lose one of their perks. I'm premium myself but i do know that a lot of roleplayers aren't.

I remember that day I was still new to this server. I didn't know anything about quests and how to get food etc.
So, I died several times that day. I received some object from Rainbowraygun but still kept dieing due to no-food.
Wouldn't it be great to keep objects then?
Supporting this idea!

i suport this, often have i died in regalia when my acrobatics wasn't so high as now and died of fall damage. for some reason when i have lag teh server trows me around and gives me fall damage in the procces +1 support

I would rather see this implemented.
To the arguement of literally giving away free premium, I think it's a bit absurb that one would think that.
The entire world is pretty much safezone, and it's not like you are going to into battle with God armour or anything in the mists of regalia. There is nothing that really anyone loses besides the fact that you won't steal and possibly lie to someone, which I think quite a few people need.

While i do agree that as an rp area, regalia really has no need for the whole drop items on death thing buuuut gotta ask.
everyone thats losing all these items, why are you carrying all this stuff in regalia o.O

What use are god gear and weaponry and stupid amounts of valuables? I understand food and roleplay items and maybe gear if theres an imminent attack but on the day to day seems kinda silly to carry all this stuff bieng a non prem.
Pretty simple to store ya stuff if you know the risk, I mean it take a split second to think "hmm i better /not/ jump off the tavern carrying my valuables as a non prem".

I never carried more then half a stack of food when rp'ing as a non prem as i knew full well some sod would jack my gear and run off xD

Honestly, the only thing I carry around in Regalia is my lore items. When I was a non prem, it made it quite hard for me to use my lore items due to my random deaths of stupidity. I wouldn't see why we could allow this in only Regalia to non prems can also hang onto those special items.

There was once a sense of honest on this server. Back before all the most recent modifications of Regalia, they had an extreme trampoline thing in front of the spawn. It killed me one time yet when I returned, all my items (not very many but still all of them) had been dumped in a pile a little ways off from the trampoline by the people nearby. The server got worse after that, I can tell you...

When I had just joined the server, several people had went into a house populated by the Constantines. They had killed a few people with fire, then lava. It went outside and got on me...

Is it really necessary to center every single post you make? Normally you should do that only for titles or headings. It makes it harder to read :P

It are mostly rp items. Some like renamed staff of exile's, do cost allot to get back.

Or you go afk in the tavern and a massacre happends, or you forgot you changed your race to non-maiar, or you're pc just crashes in Regelia and you stand on a rooftop and sneaks glitches off...

btw : support + 1

You should choose afk spots more carefully, but how often does a /massacre/ occur inside the tavern where you physically die?

Forgetting to be Maiar isn't exactly a brilliant reason, and it boils down really to the players fault for choosing it in the first place and not being prepared.

And falling off a roof well, that once again is your fault for fart arsing around on it. What normal person runs around on top if buildings ? This isn't exactly Assassins creed, despite the amount of hooded skins you see running around Massive.
