First of all the current market system just isn't working out. It encourages too much competition And thus prices get slowly lower and lower and everyone gets poorer and poorer. Second of all it would be really freaking awesome to drive a ship to say an ally's base or harbor or something for trade. Because well. You drive a ship with a crew. And that is awesome. Thirdly If this happens it would make people actually use cannons in open ocean battles and would be epic.

So I think we should get someone to first install an option for someone to make different kinds of ships that depending on the structure have different speeds or can withstand so much cannon fire. Obviously one at the cost of the other. And If we do pirating should definitely be possible by if you destroy a ship you get all the cargo in chests.

Not only would it be more realistic for medieval. It would be way awesome and the market system wouldn't crash because you don't have to compete with the chump 1 stall from you.

Ships would be really fun, but I think that would be hard to implement.
If you want to trade goods for goods rather than use money you can do that. The Regalian marketplace is in flux right now as they are being moved. But before that it seemed healthy to me, though in a deflationary period. Not sure how to solve that.

If you are creative and work hard it's possible to make money. Competition is a good thing! If you want ideas about making money send me a private message. My mind overflows with opportunities for savvy investors!

I know And whenever I need money i get it by selling enchanted stuff. Also I do have a market but in a very poor position and it never sells anything. That was a bad decision on my part.

That's a shame. Live and learn my friend. Markets are always changing. A bit of luck and you will be back on top again.

I don't believe in luck personally. Something similar but I prefer not to share my views on it. And it is far from karma by the way.

I know but i tend to talk too much and over explain. You will have to filter through what I say.

Perhaps you should sell raw materials? Though they sell for very cheap, almost everyone needs them in some form or another...

As for your shop location, when the new market district comes out, scout out an area that seems suitable, and advertise your location to friends

Do you mean use the power of friendship :D :=:

The "economy" is in a deflationary period due to the large amount of sellers in respect to few buyers - there is not enough demand to equal the supply. The balance, however, is already being seen in that many shops and stalls in Regalia are empty, meaning the price is not worth the profit in the eyes of the owners. This in turn means that the number of sellers will slowly get lower until it equals the buyers and equilibrium is met. So long as no one messes with it, the economy of Massivecraft will eventually stabalize.

BTW, people are not "getting poorer", the value of silver is increasing in relation to objects. It takes less silver to buy a diamond then it used to so that silver is worth more diamonds. Everyone is becoming wealthier.

As for shop location just get a house near the spawn and set up a non-shop-based store. That is, have people contact you for bulk sales that are delivered to their doorstep. I built Mechbank because I didn't want to worry about people finding the shop, they can make a savings account or take out a loan from anywhere on Massivecraft. The fact that Banks are without a doubt the most powerful driving force of an economy didn't hurt either haha.

Please let's return focus to the original thread topic and not my money issues.

Very well. I see no need for a new money system. Ships will probably never be implemented due to the obnoxious about of lag it would take to move them.
