All across the Hadar sea, the Regalian Imperial Army prepared their attack as the secondary phase of the Regalian defence of the Qar-Digmaan's holdings in Hadar proceeded. After the preparations from the week before, now was the time for decisive action.
With fighting already setting in on various Islands, Theopold Kreiburg made his debut within the theatre in a wondrous display of Regalian military fanfare. The Field General descended from his flagship and onto the Island of Untingi amidst a grand display of Regalian patriotic fanfare and flag waving; a semi military parade that didn't exclusively celebrate Theopold, but rather the arrival of Regalian military intervention in general. 20,000 Regalian troops descended the transport vessels onto the Island. Gifts of inexpensive herbs, alchemical ingredients and meticulously crafted glass bowls and vases were left at the feet of Theopold and his officer corps by a myriad of townspeople. A delegation of Cro and Es-allar elders arrived to the welcoming committee, clearing a path to the general and his men. Theopold's arm was reeled into a hard greeting grip by the mightiest of the Cro-Allar, his Es-Allar advisor making it known to the Baron that the local Digmaan Ssetinei Lleralleezz has approved of the Regalian numbers. The same strong hand pats Lord Theopold on the back, with the force that may have bruised and lacerated lesser men but not our Kreiburg. "Come, friend, we feast." The great Allar chortles out with a menacing rumble, guiding him and his officers to his halls.
Thanks in kind to Wing Admiral Edrick Black's blockade over the last week, Sendrassian troops had been unable to make landings to commence an assault on Untingi and thus morale from the local population was rather high. Both of Kreiburg's senior officers; Emmeline Latimer and Gerard Kreiburg were instructed to commence fortifying the Island and digging in with the 20,000 troops the Regalian force had available. In this time, multiple makeshift forts, pallasades and military outposts were established, with the assistance of a good majority of local Allar, in order to further prepare their local towns, villages and capital city against possible invasion. Theopold himself stood atop the battlements; viewing his troops with a proud smile; only half tempered with thoughts of the growing conflicts at home in his own lands. His patriotic duty stifled with thoughts of home and what he may be left to once he returned. Nevertheless, he would not falter and, when called upon, was diligent in coordinating to ensure that his duty to the Empire above all else remained paramount.
With Kreiburg now firmly established in Untingi, Wing Admiral Abelhard Latimer took initiative to engage the 18 Warship strong fleet that was under the command of Rhax Zzhehen Theozziss, the Rhax of a noble Digmaan from deep within Sendrassian territory and known for their ruthlessness. The Regalian Warships set forth from Zzondaall with sails fully lowered to make as quickly as they could to meet the Sendrassian fleet on the open sea. First contact was made after Jasper Cassim upon Latimer's flagship spotted the vessels with his spyglass heading toward Untingi. Zzolesi Ssalerzyra, Violetta de Piedmont and Muzhu Al-Vyzal organised the 25 warship Regalian fleet into a line of battle in a direction from upwind. Silence befell the waters as the Sendrassian fleet turned to counter the Regalian attack and prepare for their naval skirmish. As cannons began to fire off; Eigoth Latimer noted that a large number of figures upon the decks of the Rhax's vessels had ascended into the sky and were making straight toward the Regalian attack. These flying serpents descended upon the Regalian Warships in such high numbers that it became blatantly aware that this was not your traditional naval battle; as the Sendrassian fleet was utilising this aerial assault in conjunction to a leeward position in defence with cannons upon the Sendrassian gunboats firing a mixture of traditional cannonballs and chain-shots. Despite Wing Admiral Latimer's best attempt to rouse the Regalian Warships into a better formation; the tactic adopted, that being a line of battle, was incredibly difficult to control and individual captains remained indecisive on how to best reform into a more advantageous position. The result of this was that the combined attacks by the flying serpents and the chain-shots decimated the masts upon the Regalian ships; slowing momentum and leaving them completely at the mercy of regular cannonfire. Eigoth and his mercenaries aboard the multiple ships did their best to fight off the serpents upon the decks of the ships, and true enough, with the assistance of cannons, a number of these creatures were defeated. However, with cannons vested in eliminating the aerial threat, more and more of the Regalian Warships were torn apart by the Rhax's seemingly superior tactics. An hour passed and although Latimer attempted a retreat; the leeward approach by the Sendrassians split the Regalian War Vessels without masts, and surrounded them. 7 Warships were completely destroyed, with only the sounds of screaming heard as Latimer with 5 pristine, 8 moderately damaged and 5 heavily damaged warships having to return to Zzonzeer the only known safeport currently, rather than Zzondaal to make patchwork repairs. By next turn, of these 18 remaining ships, only 13 would be ready for redeployment as a result of this naval catastrophe. The last thing to emanate amongst the sailors aboard the Regalian vessels as they sailed in retreat, were the screams of sailors drowning and being eaten alive by the Sendrassian Flying Serpents. The Sendrassians only lost 1 Warship in this conflict and only by an alleged "flukeshot" by one Captain Muzhu Al-Vyzal.
Back on the Island of Zzondaal, Field Marshal Rodrigo Peirgarten leads 30,000 State Troops and 6,000 Mercenary Troops from his respective Field Commanders into the fray to the South to reinforce the Qar-Digmaan and his 10,000 troops. This posed something of a quandary as the Sendrassian attackers were attacking from two fronts on the Island. Rodrigo made the tactical decision to reinforce Qar-Digmaan Yaotl on the Southwestern front where it was believed that the vast majority of the Sendrassian troops were laying siege to various southern Allar settlements. By the time the army arrived, only 4,000 Qar-Digmaan troops remained but the line had held. As soon as the Imperial and Peirgarten banners were seen in the distance, Yaotl fell back and allowed Field Marshal Rodrigo Peirgarten and his officers to take over counter-attack on a Sendrassian Digmaan by the name of Deridess who held command over 20,000 Sendrassian troops. Mu-Allar shocktroopers made up a lot of the Deridess vanguard; hoisting alchemical concoctions into the Regalian frontlines as the columns of Field Marshal Peirgarten's troops rushed into the battered and rugged battlefield on the outskirts of the village of Zithyll. While Peirgarten had Deridess's host outnumbered, the immediate clashing of the two armies was devastating. Divided into multiple columns, Field Commanders Mosmo Duviri, Osira Laerinsyr and Florian Peirgarten held the middle column of the Regalian host; pushing hard into the Mu-Allar forces with no definitive wavering of either side. Mosmo Duviri in an attempt to move the tide of battle utilised her mage abilities to transform into a terrifying multilegged, cervid Ent-like creature encapsulating a blue flame. The Regalian side immediately was stunned by this sudden change in their Field Commander and, without viable leadership, broke. While Mosmo tried to hold the column together in her mythic form; the absolute onslaught of Mu-Allar troops overwhelmed her; climbing upon her and plunging their claws through her bark-like flesh until she eventually was saved by a ragtag rescue group led by Florian Peirgarten; saving her life but leaving her with multiple stab wounds to her body and an inability to walk without pained limping for a week. The left Regalian flank began to collapse in on itself, forcing the middle column and the right flank to swing maneuver at Rodrigo's command to maintain a defendable position. Boromar Gyshara and Enki Lok-Ningishzida led the two remaining columns with tactical assistance from Cro-Maarz and Eilaria Peirgarten; opting to take an unprecedented strategic scheme to essentially wedge the remaining columns through the Mu-Allar vanguard and scatter the singular Sendrassian army without a right left flank. The move proved costly, with hundreds of Regalian troops succumbing to acidic deaths and being brutalised and torn apart by the savage Mu-Allar of the Sendrassian continent. Pavel Tarknid, in a stroke of complete genius, or sheer luck, managed to strike the most prominent Mu-Allar frontline commander in the abdomen with a crossbow bolt; knocking him from his Two-Claw Raptor mount and forcing their main column to retreat as it was wedged apart. After losing 2,000 troops to vicious deaths; the Sendrassian remaining 18,000 host began its retreat to the beachhead of Southwestern Zzondaal; marking the first victory on the Island though not eradicating the occupation from the Island; as Digmaan Deridess's forces dug in their last strategic holding near the shore. As nightfall came; Rodrigo ordered that strategic battlements be constructed, the dead numbering only 500 to be carted in and the army rest; with only minor skirmishes and nightfall attacks occurring as dusk set in.
Back out upon the Hadar Sea; Wing Admiral Therathel Avalorn deploys 9 Regalian Warships under his command to the Western most tip of Bhoszaal whilst sticking to the Northern side of the Island's outcropping. The exact purpose of this movement was clear; to keep reconnaissance of the Islands of Tinnzazt and Olzzamt ongoing and to engage the 5 Sendrassian Warships that had been spotted off the coast. Despite sailing for a couple of hours, there was absolutely no sign of these 5 warvessels. The Avalorn ships positioned themselves with ease where the Wing Admiral had positioned them; able to peruse and keep watch over the two Islands designated while movement happened elsewhere. No movement, both naval or troop wise was noted.
Back on Churguzz, Field General Eddair Mac Conall pushed the beachhead where the remaining 10,000 Sendrassian troops remained. By this time, the leader of the Sendrassian assault; an individual yet to be discovered; had dug in and prepared alchemical projectiles to blast the Regalian press. Eddair split his 20,000 troops amongst his Field Commanders. The flanks, the left Commanded by Valentino Di Callegari and Rolf of Drixagh were first to be struck. Noxious gasses brought hundreds of Regalian soldiers to their knees, clutching at their throats as the Mu-Allar shock troopers drove through and began clawing and massacring Regalian veteran soldiers. The centre column manned by Field Commander Winifred Marth and Quin Uyr were hit just as hard and before steel met claw; they were called into a retreat as numerous flying serpents entered the field of battle from the shores. Winifred herself was hoisted into the air by two of the creatures; bitten and clawed at before being killed by Regalian archers. The downside of this saving grace was twofold; two arrows lodged in Winifred's right side and, as she plummeted into the soldiers below; she broke her left leg. She was saved by medics as she was dragged behind Regalian lines but she'd need at least two weeks to recover. 3,000 regalian troops died in the retreat which was expertly organised by Cro-Zzaho and Yautja Uzin; all while Bloodcast Knight Daniel Sirgrauth held a defensive; slashing and attacking multiple Mu-Allar soldiers at once as the Regalian troops fell back. Chased for miles in land, Field General Mac Connall's host only had reprieve once the Sendrassians had pushed through near half of Churguzz, leaving the Regalians to lick their wounds with 3,500 casualties while Sendrassian losses numbered only in the 500's.
Back on the Island of Zzonzeer, Field General Cinna Eledhwen directed personally further preparation for possible attack from Zzondall. A 5,000 troop force rotation was assigned by her order to ensure that the current building and rectification projects upon the Isle was completed satisfactorily. Additionally, Einherjar and Field Commanders Kuzmich Ustinra and Joasaie Lloablen are sent to travel to the closest point between the isles of Zzonzeer and Zzondall with their personal regiments number 2,000 troops total to act as a token force to prepare, scout and report back about any enemy troop movements on the other shore. After the battle of Zithyll; the trio were able to successfully report back to Cinna that the 18,000 Sendrassian force had bunkered down hard upon the last laying fortifications on Zzondall and should possibly expect a counter-invasion of Zzonzeer if Field Marshal Rodrigo Peirgarten was successful in future in pushing them off of Zzondall completely. While these talks were held in Field General Eledhwen's command tent; Ingemar was charged with trapping the southern and eastern shores; utilising basic hunting traps to ensure some form of counter-defense should invasions come from either direction. In reality, all this achieved in the meantime was the entrapment of a number of Two-Claw Raptors and the occasional Jungle Rhino. Wounded refugees from Southern occupied Islands were undertaken by Lily Jameson with specific order to look for any potentially harm known or unknown illnesses. Twoscore ailing refugees trickled into Lily's care throughout the span of three days, with no available beds to take in more. Stragglers were forced to wait in makeshift tents in the war camp, taking up beds whenever a vacancy presented itself. It all appeared to be the usual circumstances in a camp's medical barrack, minor infections and light fevers was nothing new to Lily and her team. Nearing the end of the fourth day a camp's nightmare had begun growing in the crowded straggler tent. Allar and even camp guards were reported to have been struck with high fevers and a myriad of concerning symptoms, and it was spreading fast. The scales of the allar lost colour, and their feathered comrades were losing plumes in handfuls, their bodies failing to take in crucial heat and their stomachs refusing solid foods. Regalian troops, albeit in the minority and in quarantine, were showing to turn a tint of yellow in their eyes, seemingly weeping a thin honey as they shivered in agony and malnutrition. Local Es-Allar advisors and alchemists were unfamiliar with any cures for the disease, but were aware of the disease in question. Yellow Palement. The cruel end for many unprepared explorers and aspiring conquerors. Claimed by locals to be nature's very own immune system against civilization and the greed of Aloria's races. The ailment has quietly killed thousands over the centuries, with few wishing to get close enough to it to attempt to find a cure. Lily and her team were unable to cure it by any means known to them and their understanding of the disease, but they managed to aid approximately fourty percent of the patients through the miserable sickness. Spread of the illness was stopped, for now, but the rapid growth and the efficiency of 'nature's immune system' has raised serious interest among scholarly circles to perform further research into a cure or perhaps even inoculation.
Cinna herself approached local Allar leaders and were given the go ahead to begin construction projects and defences; despite deforestation of areas. While she expected a decent amount of leeway here, the Allar only allowed 20% of the deforestation that she requested; enough to build two basic fortifications and a makeshift hospital for shelter of the injured and sick. Both were adequately camouflaged however though whether this would be able to trick the Sendrassian Allar who were used to this sort of terrain would remain unknown. A couple of watchtowers were also built on the South-Eastern front with palisade walls equipped with Fong Co fireworks to act as flares to signal to nearby Regalian occupied outposts in case of attack. Roads were overseen but were deemed adequate enough already. The Alpha group of Cinna's retinue; Emil de Krijger, Humaira Reinard and Clarimonde Typhonus were assigned to the Northern segment of the wall with 2,000 of their personal retinue and 2,000 state troops to act as a defense force and oversee defence of fortification construction. The Betas, Lazarus Lupenzi, Camille av Bergstrom and Jehenna Fayae were assigned to the Southern segment of the pallasades with 2,000 personal troops and 2,000 state troops for the same purpose. Lastly Omegas, Hudil Eledhwen and Eponia Lindara Phiqen manned the central fortification with 2,000 of their own regiment troops and an additional 3,000 state troop force for the same reason as the others. All other troops were set to standby. The byproduct of all this preparation, if continued and unhalted for the next couple of weeks, would essentially designate Zzonzeer as the most defendable outpost for the Regalian and Pro-Qar Digmaan military. Something the Marshal Cabinet would have to consider.
Elsewhere, Wing Admiral Edrick Black and his co-leader, Margarethe Black break the blockade at Untingi after Kreiburg's arrival to assist in transporting Grand Marshal Reimar Typhonus and Field General Valarosta Ino-Femunn's hosts to the new battlezone of Bhoszaal. 9,000 State troops remained on Xutaal to defend against an invasion, albeit without a General. The fleet of 15 warships and 4 personal vessels set forth to the Northernmost bay of Bhoszaal. Tensions were high and the Wing Admiral ensured that discipline and morale of his troops, including his captains; Lucille de Monette, Khayri El-Amin and Jamat Diawara were high.
Maelise Cadieux upon Khayri El-Amin's personal ship was singing "To Regalia" to boost morale. The sailors sang along to Madame Maelise's beautiful voice with rhythmic clapping and stomping of feet. Joyous laughter broke out amidst groups of deck scrubbers and marines alike while the singing and dancing went on. It was such a degree that one might find themselves forgetting where they were headed. Maelise's song lulled the sailors into a sense of relief, indeed. A fitting distraction for war which lasted through half her songs. The beginning of 'To Regalia' finally started ringing over the deck of 'The Scorpion', to the delight of the common mariners who had yearned for weeks for the homeland. A sweet taste of home so far away from it. The next verses were followed with merriments and the arrival of an odd scent in the air. Reminiscent of an uncomfortable fact of life for these brave men and women.
Murmurs began to circulate among some in the crew towards the middle of Cadieux's song, sneers and heavy gesturing with hands as more and more men broke off from the wholesome break from war. Maelise, unsure of what was going on, stopped her singing to pay closer attention to the situation at hand. "Rowboats! Get the boats!" Men in the crow's nest hollered down. A quizzical brow lofted above her eye at the hasty order, turning to observe the manic movement of the sailors as gloom and despair seeped into the atmosphere. The Madame stepped down from her soapbox, gently making her way through the crowded sides of the ships. As she got closer to see the source of the disorder she would begin to pick up on the whispers and disheartened grumbles of the men. "Regalians.." "I served with him for three years." "Is my brother among them?!". The sea came to her sight in glimpses between the sailors. Something wasn't right. A sickening red, with azure patches splattered among charred debris. At last she broke through to the side, her eyes overwhelmed with a firsthand account of the first great disaster of the war. The blood of thousands of brave sons and daughters covered the sea around The Scorpion, filling the air with the smell of a crushing defeat; the exact area that the Latimer Fleet had been bested earlier that morning.
Even among the experienced troops it was a saddening sight, faces growing pale and weary all along the ranks. To Maelise, however, it would be too much. Lurching over the side of the ship she would hurl up with tears in her eyes until her handmaidens guided her back to her quarters. In passing arrived three of her peers, each commanding an increasing amount of respect as they filed out with bewilderment at the disruption of discipline onboard. Countess Valarosta of Mazarrón, Count Reimar of Calemberg, and notably, The Imperial Marshal himself Lord William Howlester. The Emperor's own decorated General plowed his way through the stunned crowds, scoffing and huffing about 'cowardice this' and 'soft youths that' as he came for the railing. Lord William's features softened just a hint at the sight. "Get those bloody boats out. Sweep the wreckages for survivors" He advised Reimar. Reimar, wholly, was likely appreciative of the advice, as he found himself facing the brutal responsibilities he is held accountable to. He would stand there for minutes, staring blankly into the carnage before him while Valarosta organized the hopeless rescue of the non-existent survivors. A new burden came to nest on Reimar's shoulders this gruesome day, as if the war itself wasn't already a stretch. Only the Spirit's endless wisdom may know what this defeat could do for the young Typhonus' war. "May Ulric have taught you well, boy, lest we suffer this again." Lord William muttered to the Grand Marshal before heading to his quarters to begrudgingly prepare a difficult report for His Imperial Holiness.
The landing occurred that evening. Grand Marshal Reimar Typhonus with a host of 23,000 troops consisting of 15,000 State Troops and 8,000 regimental troops from various Field Commanders disembarked alongside Field General Valarosta Ino-Femunn with 15,000 State Troops and 2,000 regimental troops. As the largest ship docked; the trio of the Grand Marshal Typhonus, Imperial Marshal Howlester and Field General Valarosta Ino-Femunn stepped down off of the ship to the sight of Regalian Imperial banners; salutes and trumpet fanfare. Local Vish An-Gei Medesseer met with the Grand Marshal and organised a movement of the Imperial forces south to meet the Sendrassian 15,000 troops head on; utilising main roads and passages that Katrin Latimer and Imara al-Qahtani became aware of, leading the combined host through the jungles and various ravines. The Jungle was warm; wet and nasty; with Valarosta, William Arnyn and Katrin Latimer having to deal with frogs, insects; spiders, gnats and mosquitos biting at their skin whilst pushing aside foliage that stood in their way. The Regalian Host of 40,000 arrived at the capital of Bhosszaal and immediately began setting up encampment and troop formations for an attack. Grand Marshal Reimar Typhonus and Field General Valarosta Ino-Femunn organised a 'Hammer and Anvil' tactic whilst Imperial Marshal William Howlester fortified the inside of the capital with Vish An-Gei Medesseer; cannons and explosive artillery manning the battlements of the city. Come nightfall, the Sendrassian army commanded by Digmaan Zzondizz Houtryl and Rhax Teegiith Magdess hit the Regalian encampment.
As planned, the Grand Marshals army was caught in the midst of a brutal conflict with Ibrahim Batunoglu, Vivana Avalorn and Philippe du Langelier manning the central column. While Ibrahim and Phillippe performed well, Vivana Avalorn with her knowledge of Altalar traditional military tactics was able to create a gap in the Sendrassian Mu-Allar lines which the Regalian flanks, commanded by Zelgius Pavise, Rudolph Wentz and Avaineiral Rilynnues was able to take full advantage of. As Vivana, Zelgius and Rudolph pushed forward, Avaineiral was able to take on the Mu-Allar field Commander; a battle of fighting skill being the deciding factor in whether the Mu-Allar was forced back coming to fruition right in front of their eyes. Avaineiral was able to deflect multiple strikes from the Mu-Allar atop his Two-Claw Raptor before taking off the leg of the mount and causing the Field Commander of the Sendrassian center column to collapse upon the floor whilst Vivana and Rudolph finished him off with multiple impalements with their weapons. Artillery fired to the sound of William Howlester's voice; sending lizard limbs flying in all directions and splattering Nym'vrae Helvath and William Arnyn with their blood. Arnyn smirked; handing Nym'vrae his handkerchief to wipe herself off before taking to the skies with his wings; homing in on Rhax Teegitth Magdess; distracting him and collapsing the overall assault by the claws of Digmaan Zzondizz. A reptile like roar boomed across the battlefield and all shock troopers were pushed into a full frontal last ditch assault. Nym'vrae utilised her magic; surrounding the Regalian frontline with unbreakable towershields made of light which prompted the Howlester artillery again to fire; destroying the Sendrassian assault whilst shielding the Regalian troops from any damage (Albeit raining upon them lizard claws, tails and other nasties.) The remaining flank Field Commanders Zzalangua Mu-Yaotl and Theresia Kaeppler put pressure on the last remaining column and with that, the Sendrassian army was pushed into a retreat.
That was when General Valarosta Ino-Femunn instituted the plan. Having been able to flank behind the 15,000 Sendrassian host with the help of the pathfinding of Mateo Silva and Yue-Liang Hue; she with the help of 'Khaine' her predominant Frontline Commander crashed into the retreat. At this point the Sendrassians were completely scattered. Outnumbered almost three to one on all sides the battle devolved into a bloody massacre. A hard last stand was held by the Allar, fighting tooth and claw against the thousands of tenpennies surrounding them. The ferocity of the battle tuned out the good senses of both sides, blood slicking the ground itself becoming the greatest threat to the Regalians towards the end of the butchering. The air was thick with high adrenaline, for if any man or woman lowered their guard for only a second they could very well become a casualty to the cornered Allar fighting with everything they got. The fighting went on for three gutwrenching hours before the Digmaan managed to break through the Regalian lines for a hasty retreat. The tired Imperials were allowed to remain standing, watching as the Digmaan and his army flee in a disorderly fashion. The Regalians stood among 7,000 dead Sendrassians and 700 dead Regalians. Another victory for the Empire..
The last major shift of this phase of the war came after most of the carnage was over. Wing Admiral Valentino Sangiovese with his fleet of 15 Regalian Warships rendezvoused with Field Marshal Julius Peirgarten's troop transports to carry them to the Island of Bexestaan and secure another Island for Regalian militarization. The flagship 'The Phoenix' ripped through the waves as the warship fleet, surrounding multiple troop transports, sped toward the Island. Valentino, shadowed by his bodyguards Murielle-Mae Barkhardt and Yuri watched from the deck of The Phoenix as the Bexestaan came into sight; fortifications with local Mu-Allar scouts stationed atop signalling the ships into port with bellowing horns. Medic Tuija Viduggla assisted in helping troops to disembark; coordinating with Al and Es-Allar to establish a makeshift hospital to treat potential wounded. With no Sendrassian fleets in sight; Field Marshal Julius Peirgarten's host was able to properly land. There was little else to do on Bexestaan once all the work was done. The prolonged peaceful existence there brought on a leisurely apathy among the troops, with the officers allowing for liberal amounts of recreation time while they were waiting for further orders from the top. Swimming contests, light daydrinking and consorting with.. Camp companions were among the favoured activities. Concerns were raised about discipline waning the longer the soldiery had to wait, but the officers on the ground could assure the Cabinet's agents that strict rationing was just enough to keep the men and women in line. For now.
Reports came in after the battles that an additional 10,000 Sendrassian troops had made landing and began pushing through Dregux, and reinforcements of 8,000 pushed in from Eastern Bhoszaal. Lastly, the 5 missing warships from before had arrived at the shores of Xutaal and troop transports had begun unloading 5,000 Sendrassian soldiers onto Xutaal to be held back for the time being by the 9,000 Regalian stationed forces on the Island.3 By the end of the skirmishes, one thing was decidingly clear. Catastrophic defeats but valiant victories on different islands meant that while Regalia had made fundamental successful pushes, the Empire had also suffered numerous costly casualties. In the Latimer battle, Regalia had lost 7 Warships. 500 troops had died in Rodrigo Peirgartens assault, while the Sendrassian Army lost 2,000 in Zzondaal. 3,500 Regalian troops had fallen in the battle of Churguzz under Field General Mac Conall with only 500 Sendrassian losses.
Six thousand two hundred Regalian soldiers died this week, and seventy thousand regals worth of ships sunk to the depths. The imperial nobility in the Archipelago were noticeably displeased, hundreds of letters reaching the Logistics Minister Ardige Viduggla every day from all corners of the Emperor's hundred realms demanding answers. Just a hundred men for some of the lesser nobles can be a devastating loss for their economy, and the higher lords were worried that significant losses like the ones reported back to the Empire would become a trend. The peerage's message to Minister Ardige Viduggla was clear. Who among us has to pay for this? The Logistics Minister Ardige Viduggla would need to decide who would amongst the nobles contributing will front the losses.
