Ok here's another suggestion for Factions V2. Add another type of land claim in. This one would be called "siege fortifications" or something like that and they would be allowed to be built 6 chunks away from a land claim instead of 16. In siege fortifications anyone can break or place beds and ladders. This makes it so people could effectively siege a city by claiming land 6 chunks away from it and building trenches and bunkers in that land claim.
If possible I would like something else too. Here's a pretty radical suggestion. Make it so people can use prem and tnt cannons to break blocks TEMPORARILY. The blocks will be gone for about 10-20 minutes before they regenerate. I say 10-20 minutes because I want the effect to be rather long lasting. If you implement this idea, this could lead to a much more interesting city warfare mechanic. Just remember this, people can only build cannons 6 chunks away from you, that's 96 BLOCKS. This insures that raiders have to make some pretty impressive cannons to get a explosive to shoot that far. This also gives the defenders an advantage. Defenders could bombard the attackers easily, considering the fact that their walls give them a height advantage. The defenders could then counter attack and charge into the fortifications, breaking beds and routing the attackers. The attackers could also try to bust a hole in the defenders walls, forcing cities to now make thicker walls. I suggest that if this is implemented that Massivecraft make it so Obsidian will break under explosive bombardment, however it will take several hits. This ability to bombard will also lead to some pretty nice war damage as houses and buildings will (temporarily) be reduced to rubble under the attacker's artillery fire. That's the suggestion right now, I might add more.
