Explanation:
For a while now I've noticed a lack of role-play skills from an amount of people, especially the tavern. Now I propose that we start a role-play school, to teach these 'amounts' of people a few decent role-play skills. EX: What to do when arrested, how not to act in a public setting, how to act in a public setting etc...
Just remember, we were all once fairly new to role-play and had progressed from time, whilst watching other role-players, but if we could 'push along' this process so to provide a good atmosphere in Regalia, I think it would indeed have a positive effect. This would not only make role-play more entertaining for the excelled role-players but also for the newer ones as well.

Feed Back:
I've been pondering this idea for quite some time and would love to hear some feedback, whether you'd enjoy/attend or disregard/not-attend. Or may haps you provide us with a few things that you'd like to see in the school. We will be allowing people to ask role-play questions, and we will act them out.
If this idea gets enough positive feed back, we'll be bringing in a few 'renowned role-players' for certain scenes. None of this is meant to be offensive in any way, but I'm a tad bit tired of walking into the tavern seeing people randomly stab, kill, &/or mutilate people.

I must admit there are only a handful of good role-players, sadly i'm not one of them. I'd love to see this work out and I can get a few tips.

While I'm not a Random McStabbington, I'd love to see how the renowned role-players on MassiveCraft got to where they are today. I think that this would provide a great learning opportunity for anyone that attended!

I don't expect that many players who go around randomly playing out an unwanted assassination attempt would participate, but you never know.

Indeed, though I believe that a lot of people would attend out of curiosity. Hopefully we're able to grab many people's attention.

You're a really good roleplayer, katie.
And I agree, this would be so constructive and would aspire new roleplayers.

Although I can't be called the best RPer, I do like helping people, and in the end, being helped. Although being a 'teacher' wouldn't be right for me, I would still attend just to polish off on my RPing skills.

With this idea, what sort of session schedule did you have in mind, Lady Rose?

I would assume about an hour per class, due to the amount of information that we have to cover, and the small scenes that we'll be acting out. Not only this but, we'll also be taking a few field-trips.

I would happily attend as I sometimes experience the awkward moment when I simply don't how to react to something and sit there starry eyed before I panic and say I have to go or something of that nature. I also believe I have awful grammar and spelling, so sounds enjoyable.

Same here, Wheatley.

Oh, this is kind of an interesting idea, I find usually that roleplaying around these people and or with them is often enough to gently encourage improvement. But actually making a school thing is an idea.

I see a few flaws in this idea, a lot of the bad RPers wouldn't want to go inside a classroom just to be told how to RP. there is also the issue of timezones, a lot of the bad RPers are on when the server is quiet, so it would be hard to inform them that there is a class.

Yeah i agree with Ryceria. Also this sounds like a great help to many people (including me :P) Also, would there be a cost for said school?

"Aha~" The elf placed a hand on his hip and waggled his eyebrows, in his usual manner, as a slow, if not subtle, cocksure grin crept onto his features. "I'd be happy to help...teach any woma--person, anything they need to know, love. Do tell, do tell, how might I be of service, hmm?"

Due to your excelled role-playing skills, you've been added to the list of teachers.
Ryciera
Teacher list will be provided shortly, just hang in there :p

Ah... this reminds me of when I learned to RP... that like... 8 years ago... good times, those were.

I was glad to have an able teacher. I feel that there is always more I could learn, so I might attend it. Good luck with it! :)

Will be offering tutoring as well, to monitor role-play and show you your weaknesses and strengths. Contact me in game if needed, /mail send SexyRose_

I agree. This would help all those new people understand what/how to truly "RolePlay" and not to make up their own thing, thus making people irritated with them and be cruel/harsh towards the new players. Most of the posts above I agree with.

I like this idea - though it's not fully compliant with Medieval Lore, it is a good opportunity to take advantage of.
The system should probably be structured though for levels.

Beginner RP-
Intermediate RP-
Elite RP-
The only opposing this with this idea is whether the 'trainers' or 'teachers/tutors' are skilled enough to not only RP intensely themselves but show strong means of how to communicate that to others -
E.g Visual Learners, etc.

If this doesn't get added, I'm going to slap a random watermelon in the crust.
Yes please! Very good idea!
