'Disappoint Immeasurable'

In lieu of the recent events that transpired on the 'Night of the Twin Fires', the Knights of the Lion Pelt Order residing in our Holy City denounce the actions of the Desert Rose Paladin, Dame Humaira Reinard and Men-At-Arms, Ser Aryton Oliveira. Their actions of taking a part of the group that started the fires, and the later destruction of the Crookback District, goes against the very codes that we are taught from the beginning of initiation into the Order, and so will not abide by nor support them. We are dutiful to those that we serve, and burning down houses of those who we should be protecting goes against it vehemently.
  1. The honor of a Lion Pelt Knight is to refuse unfairness, meanness, and deceit. Refrain from speaking ill of anyone and return slander with words of kindness.
Their actions have resulted in the leveling of an entire district, affecting innocents who had nothing to do with the other fire that occurred that eve. Beyond that, many were displaced, their very homes and businesses reduced to ash, forced to live in a city of tents while the frigid cold of winter has only just begun to set in. Without support, we imagine that more will no doubt perish to this cold -- so we will aid those affected, both the denizens of Crookback and those of Petal Court, in whatever way we can.

The actions of two spiteful Knights who have lost their way does not define our Order. We stand with the people now, as we always have.
  1. The unity of the Lion Pelt Order is paramount. Seek always to strengthen your fellow members, and go to any lengths to ensure their happiness and wellbeing, for they will do the same for you.
However, if the Dame Humaira Reinard and Ser Aryton Oliveira choose to redeem themselves in the eyes of their brethren, we will come with open arms and help them in any way that we can. The Dame and Ser should choose to earn back their honour amongst our ranks

**Dame Humaira Reinard and Ser Aryton Oliveira have willingly undergone Regalian Knight Law Five, receiving 15 lashes each. This is the start of redemption in the order to serve the Empire.

We give our assistance to those who were affected during these times, providing any supplies or help that will be needed to be given.
  1. Remember that the wealth of Aloria is temporary, and give alms to the destitute who need it most. For the duty of those with the means to live in excess, is to see that those below them are cared for with their surplus.

Signed,
Dame Eponia Nae'wynthril of the Lion Pelt Order
Baroness Cinna Eledhwen of the Lion Pelt Order
Ser Tim Borros of the Lion Pelt Order
Dame Camille Reinard of the Lion Pelt Order
Ser Émil de Krijger of the Lion Pelt Order

Markus Haagenvig
Markus Haagenvig stood on the winter coated street corner as he pluck the parchment from a near by notice board. He studied the wording in the bitter cold, his assigned babysitter; Guardsman Bill mumbling under his breath about the weather as Markus' face took over a variety of reactions by each letter. Though his face mostly resembled something of a disgruntled dog as his brows were furrowed and he bit his lip. After rereading it for a time he finally spoke his thoughts to Bill. "Self righteous, bah. For starters, there are no confirmed deaths... There was no murders." He spat on the ground into the heap of snow, growing a bit more frustrated as time went on. "Spiteful isn't the word to use there, it's brave, courageous, gallant, Ect. A few years back people used to get parades for these kind of things. Void, even if you don't like what happened applying vigilante would have been better." He scoffed, reapplying the notice back to the board. "I tell you what, Bill. These damn rumors and all. All that happened was two bloody ships burned up and a bit of the docks."

"It seems that the good Dame also set her own career up in flames along with the homes of destitute folk." Sir Aleksei Peirgarten spoke with a humorous tone lacing his tongue, as he brandished his Viridian shield while en route to the encampments, accompanying the Protector von Drachenburg on their quest. "It will be interesting to see how she will go about reclaiming her honor."

"She deserves more than fifteen lashes, that's for damn sure." Winifred commented as she adjusted the satchel at her side. Despite the days there had been since the event, she still looked ripe with anger over it- even if she had lost nothing in the affair. "A knight sworn to provide alms burns the kingdom of the poor and expects praise from the people affected. Never have I seen such idiocy."

The Paladin's cape fluttered behind as he kept his gaze ahead, listening to the younger as they moved, "Doesn't matter. I've given up on them, it isn't our problem anymore."

"Oh yes yes, rip each other apart, this is what you deserve for calling me scum!" The gorak cackled to himself in pleasure, he had not been part of either burning, bit intended to profit from both. He moved to take one down, as a souvenir in case he was ever called scum by the family again!
