Player Event Acting Discord | Template for Staff Acting Guidelines The Event Acting Assistance thread is intended for acting requests. If you need help with venues or their creation, please see the Regalia Event Venue Assistance Requests thread. Guidelines Before requesting staff or player actors, look for played characters that may be able to assist with your event! Apply a minimum of one week prior to your event to ensure that actors are adequately prepared. You are encouraged to create guidelines and instructions for staff actors. You can find a template here. Communicate with whichever staff member picked up your request should they fail to reach out to you. When in doubt, make a Ticket. Staff Acting Staff actors will not be filling in roles that can be fulfilled by other players or environmental emotes, such as food service workers, ushers, or animals outside of hunting events. Unsure if you need staff or player actors? Make a ticket. Dungeon Mastered Encounters The Encounter System is run by a DM, or Dungeon Master, who oversees your character's actions and intentions. Lore Staff will take on this role, requesting players to roll for the outcomes of their attempted actions, or possibly twisting the scenario into a surprise ending. Anything is possible with an encounter event, be it your hunting party stumbling across a frightful scene of blood and gore, a monster running rampant through the wilderness, or pirates taking over your humble trade ship. Your imagination is the limit when it comes to these scenarios. Staff is eager and more than willing to host these for you. Player Acting The sky’s the limit with player acting, but you should still look for played characters before enlisting the help of player actors! Need someone to play carnie?
