Exactly 5 weeks ago, I decided that Dotre needed some big changes. The buildings were griefed, the theme was non-consistent, the system was unorganized, and the defenses did not serve their purpose. These problems lead to the start of a great period of reformation. At the start, I knew that this would be a lasting time period, and lots of work and effort would have to be put in on this time-consuming and arduous task.
Immediately, the members of Dotre and I went about collecting the materials and preparing for the project. Over this time, members had come and go, and I was left as probably the only one working diligently on it. Some of the members that did contribute were SacredTrout, Ulpix, zhimmythechump, and Lindermax15. There were other minor helpers, but they did not compare to what the listed players have done. I would also like to thank some of Dotre's sponsors/suppliers which included MDeeDub (providing 2 double chests of light blue wool), BigBellyBuddah (2 double chests of coal, and 1 double chest glowstone), the faction of Northwatch (lots of cobble), and some other praised donators of cobblestone.
Within 3 weeks, the outer walls have been completed, and the following 2 weeks was the finishing product of the main building. This strenuous task has depleted much of Dotre's silver as well as materials. Even though the exterior seems to be complete, there is still many additions that must be done as well as the interior.
To see the Dotreian castle at its current state, you can look in NorthEast Ithania on the dynmap, it is located on an Island between 2 rivers, fairly close to Prussia, Kronus, and Tihr. If you would like a better view, you could msg me, coleman2225, in-game, and I could set up a portal for your convenience.
As i have previously said, this project has left me with few resources left over, and the next part, the interior, will need many other supplies. MDeeDub, my last wool supplier, has been inactive, and I doubt she will provide any more wool anytime soon. Because of this, I will be needing new suppliers, and possibly some donators if you can provide your surplus of materials.
This is what I will be needing:
assorted colors of wool and dyes: by the stacks! (especially light blue wool)
glowstone: and lots of it, probably another doublechest...
coal: to smelt that cobblestone, by the stacks
stone/stonebrick/stoneslabs: by the doublechests, I need lots of it!
dirt: For terraforming and also for waste-blocks.
If you can donate and/or sell any of these items to me in a bulk amount, I will be very pleased!
But if not, you can still either carry on with your day, or take a visit on your free time to check on the process, or just to hang out! The faction of Dotre is currently completely peaceful, and will accept visitors with open-arms unless you are being distracting to one's work.
Below, I will put in some screenshots of the castle in various views and also the incomplete inside, since the castle is still completely hollow. Thanks for your time!
