• ║♠ ⋟ Octavia is a mage and worldly scholar with a particular interest in the history of magic and its relationship to cultures in the world. Born a brood (and also a half-Teledden in an extremely bigoted region of the Empire), she is constantly at odds with her blood and takes every measure to disguise and suppress it, while also dealing with the influx of demonic passengers inhabiting her body and soul.

A bit above average than the Ailor women she grew up disguising herself as, but shorter than the Teledden she takes after thanks to her father. She has a typical "mage's body", muscularly unremarkable and neglectfully soft, with skin so pallid she could be easily mistaken as nutritionally deficient. Her pale blonde hair is kept up in an ornate temple-wrapped braid and bun, and she dresses in reserved gothic fashions common from her birthplace.

• ║♠ ⋟ Octavia's mother was a simple seamstress named Portia who found herself thoroughly seduced and enchanted by the local lord of the barony they dwelled in, Vallear Anasthasia of Salcea Ulfov. As it turned out, Vallear was a Vampire, as was so ironically common in their province of Baldmark, and Portia was secreted away into the dark life of debauchery in his castle. She eventually gave birth to a daughter, Octavia, a brood by nature.
• ║♠ ⋟ Octavia led a very comfortable albeit extremely sheltered life thanks to her father's privilege but also possessive desire to shield his half-blood and mage-blooded daughter from the superstitious, prying eyes of Salcea Ulfov and Baldmark at large. As a result, Octavia's interests were directed firmly into the study of magic, history, the Empire outside of her manor and all sorts of other literary topics while making a point to avoid the darker, indulgent lifestyle of her father and older Vampiric siblings.
• ║♠ ⋟ Once old enough, Octavia managed to convince her father to allow her to venture outside of the manor and into the Empire at large on a scholarly journey. Her aptitude for magic and wits and general base of knowledge landed her a role working for a cadre of Grauwald Lothar Knights who utilized her services for their hunts, giving her a chance to travle with them and study along the way. Eventually these hunts brought them to clash with a powerful demon that they severely underestimated, resulting in most of them dying and those who did survive leaving Octavia-- just a replaceable mage in their eyes-- for dead. The demon threatened her with death but offered a bargain, and she took the cowardly latter option, consigning herself to possession.
