White descends from the sky, blanketting the ground and all life below it. Rendering itself as absolute. Impending. Relentless.

Color is killed ever so softly in this domain. The wolves howl in resignation as even their meals are forfeit to the cold. The deathly silence that follows is but an allusion to what waits for all who dare to brave this land.

This is the story of two men, a massive community, and the memories they hoped to share.

A dedication to a father; a valkyrie. Stone towering high into the grey clouds. This was all that remained of us, forgotten. Resiliant to all manner of weather. Facing south with unswayable resolve. She stood, refusing to let die what she had protected in the past.

The pair had left her behind. Yet, they could never let go what they started. Years of wandering, exploring, and finding ways to pass what seemed like eons; the pair found solace in starting anew. These two. The Military General and Lunatic, Kaezir. A Disowned and Scholarly King, Thorjl. Together a bond unbreakable, fate saw them to rebuild the empire past. By manner of chance and circumstance, they returned to the snowyfields and their guardian, this time with a brilliant plan and burning passion.

It all began again with the island. A bastion farther north than any had ever been. Blistering and scarce with life, here the first stones were set. In this island laid a massive cavern left behind by what was thought to be a dwarven factions. Bore faces set in walls with fire for eyes. Columns and structures strewn about, here they stayed. Through miracles of fortune and favor, a castle struck forth upward. A port decorated with stalls and two beautiful aqua maidens. A simple, humble town. Life was found possible. Other marvelous souls found their way into the fold. A mad dwarven farmer, Ghiuts98. A master of science and communistic values. He mastered the workforce and created the most magnificent agriculture one could ask for. The terrifying visage with a foul mouth, LeagueofWho. With harsh words and jovial laughs, he laid waste to forests and provided almost exclusively all wood needed ventures.

The Dwarf and hooded man proved to be the greatest of workers and even better friends. They took leadership roles solidifying power even more. A beautiful dichotomy helping pull forth some of the greatest times a faction has ever seen. From a cringey teen vampire to a furry alchemist; friendship blossomed and glorious memories ensued.

In but a fortnight a castle of Nordic beauty was built with its small kingdom. On that fortnight, a banquet was held. Weapons, suits of armor, and even more was dedicated and given to all worlds. Expensive gifts for our soon to be allies and enemies alike. Truly a wonderful night to behold. It wasn't long before invites were issued to everyone willing to make the travel to our ballroom. People of all walks of life came, fireworks were many, and music was playing. In a final offering, axes were given to all who attended. But mere moments after handing out gifts, the forces of Raptum and Wolves made their presence clear.(@Sevak and @Tokuu being among them) Slaying everyone, bathing the ballroom in blood, and escaping with dozens of axes. The Red Feast was truly a fitting name for that night. Thus birthed the faction of NorthWatch. A faction christened with the blood of their allies and enemies.

Many things happened over the following three years. With the help of a traitor, NorthWatch was given access to Tyberia's most inner kingdom. For days the swine were slain before the betrayal was discovered and truces were discussed. Many events were held such as a world wide Halloween for all factions. We claimed a solid, unbroken chunk of land bigger than Regalia and managing to fill it with structures. Many friends made, enemies killed, and wonderful moments created.

After building a dozen towns, two cities, and more stuff just to break it all down again we finally settled on a concept of a city surrounded in a forever mist cloaking it due to snow melting off the walls being heated by a frozen demon. It's a lot more detailed than that but. You know. Stuff. Check the Spoiler.

We love everything the Massive community has done for us and will dearly miss you all. While some of us may still play, NorthWatch has officially unclaimed almost everything. Leaving their structures to wither to time.

The Valkyrie(1500X -3800Z Ithania) still stands and will continue to do so even after we leave. One of the oldest structures in Massive, dating 4 years old.

As sure as the snow falls, we shall remain.

We vowed to remain as long as the snows fell. And the valkyrie will keep that oath. Until for Jorrhild and Ithania worlds, Ragnarok comes.

Please do not attempt to claim any part of our city. Let it fall to time, as all things do.

"I saw my castles fall today and crumble into dust around my feet
In shambles there my future lay each stone a broken dream so sweet
I built the heaven in the sky where my true love and I could stay
Then came the words that meant goodbye I saw my castles fall today."

And I'd do it all again.

Thanks man. It was fun to say the least. I think the first memory I had of you guys is us Visiting Wrath and you guys were fighting Wolves and setting up a 1v1 between you and Sevak.

I remember back when I first joined you all it was really fun and great learning experience. Redesign the farms helping Ghi and Fairy out. I really wanna thank you Kae. You pushed me into the server and Northwatch guided me to be invested into it. To you, Ghi, Fairy, And Thor. I thank you for some wonderful memories

Glad to have had you man.

Northwatch has been around since I joined and the Valkyrie was one of the first structures I came across while exploring. It shall always be remembered.

I have moved the thread and put it where it belongs. In general some of the "but look at this rule" would have held up if this was in fact a thread for an active faction, but when it concerns a "goodbye" faction announcement, it is no longer pertinent to factions, or even remotely relevant to COK, which while not being the sole monopolizer on faction announcements, makes up the vast majority. I have also cleaned up unnecessary comments.

Not putting implications into what you wrote because I know you don't moderate as such, but stating it like that just makes it feel like we are being downgraded. We weren't a PvP faction but we were always heavily involved in the community. Basically no faction or individual, bar staff, has managed to create such successful events for the faction community. Excluding us from the faction announcement section, while breaking no rules, simply because we are no longer active just seems like factions can only be considered factions if in CoK.

I don't appreciate the stance taken on this matter. As it simply feels a band aid fix to the debate that was deleted. But thank you for atleast taking some other course in the matter rather than just letting it be stuck with that ugly rejected tag.

I understand your sentiments, but they are unnecessary. This should have been posted in the General section from the beginning because the General section on average gets twice if not four times the amount of page tabs than the Faction announcement section. In terms of making an impact and leaving a legacy, you have a better opportunity for it in the general section than in a section that is 80% used by COK, which is also why I moved it here. Essentially if a Faction Announcement cannot have some form of product action or response in-game either by COK or non COK factions, it does not belong in the faction announcements, you cannot respond to a goodbye faction announcement. It doesn't start or solve wars or progress politics between factions, it just is.

If it makes you feel any better I am amending the rules on the section now to clarify this stance.

oh kewl! yea I just didn't realize that the faction announcement section worked differently now... I guess I can use general from now on. Idk... no yea faction announcement seems like a more fitting section and it seems a bit weird to have a faction announcement in general. Idk though.

yea idk I'm dumb unsubscribed

I wasn't really hoping to leave an impact. Just figured the people who this is more relevant to would be more likely to see it in faction announcements as it is frequented specifically by active faction players.

But yes, that is fantastic to hear. It'll clear up any confusion. Thank you.

Awhh, it's sad to see NorthWatch go. It's one of those factions that has always been there, on the server. Farewell :(
