New Arenas

Like I said on the open team meeting I would very much like input or ideas for new arenas.
Either by writing here or posting screens would be awesome :-)

What about an 4v4 arena where 4 people could fight eachother to the death and the last man standing wins? :P And a little more details about it is that it would have a controll room where you have levers/buttons to contoll which gates that would open, and when.. It would also be cool if you could turn on a lamp over the gates to see how many people will fight and also 4 hanging from the roof which would indicate how many players that are left ( will have to be manually controlled )
 
That could definatly work :-) But I'm thinking bigger. I have a hope that at one point we can have team deathmatches with capture the flag and such things. 10v10 and things
On a massive scale. Like 5x5 chunk big arenas with forests and diversity. Make pvp more interesting for more people. Make teamwork essential, that sorta thing :-D

What about a 4v4 team deathmatch/capture the flag arena with a forest surrounded by a tribune and a controll panel hanging from the roof with something to keep it hanging realisticly and redstone "flags" wich would be inside towers and the way you activate it is by using redstone that then will make some lights around the tower light up to show that it's captured ( capturing your own tower would be punished ofc ) and make some traps around.. also have a timer wich would ofc be a giant redstone wall on either side of the arenas. CTF would be 2v2 team fights and team deathmatch would be 4v4 without having to capture the towers ( would have to use the controll panel to disable the towers btw )
 
I think it's a good idea that could easily be implemented to look medieval.
 
What about a arena where there is a castle in a forest and there is 2 teams, one which have to attack the castle and one that have to defend it, and the objective is either to kill all the defenders, kill all the attackers or for the attackers to get inside and go to the top of the castle and press a button so a flag or simillar on the top lights up ( to simulate fire ) and then they have won, or if they all die, they loose :P

Good idea, but this would rely on the implementation of the plugin mob arena. Which would be kinda cool if you ask me.
 
Now this doesn't sound like Survival Games at all!

It's not really survival game...it's more along the lines of having 2 teams fighting for control of an objective. That's kinda the idea I'm basing my current work on.[DOUBLEPOST=1355531170][/DOUBLEPOST]
Not necessarily, you could use complex dispenser systems :D

That could definatly work...altho it'll require not only a redstone wizard...but a redstone archmage to get it set up :-P

But then you would have to have mob eggs which also would have to be refilled sometimes, I would rather have mob spawners which would continuisly spawn monsters that you would have to fight and get trough without dying.. and also you wouldn't be able to stop the spawners but who cares? :P

Oh, hadn't thought of that :D I know that there are special block ID's for mob spawner, so you can spawn different mobs.
 
What about an arena based for roleplay, were you can use cannons, it is sort of like a siege arena or something with a small fort that the enemy has to conquer.

I am going to start working on something like that when the new world Ninjabaver made comes out. Think DOTA..
 
New arenas would be good, but we will have to remove old ones. I quite like the idea of having more diverse arenas rather than just another free-for-all arena someone built. Perhaps a tower attack/defend, ship battle, parkour pvp, team death match, and something like that. We should take advantage of the servers cannon plugin too.
 
I'm pretty late, but here is mine:

You start off in a dark cavern that is barely lit, so it gives you a creepy feeling. Then, there is a 2 block high maze where vampires cannot bloodlust over because the glass ceiling is only 3 blocks tall. It makes running from your opponent fun, and people can watch from above how the battle is playing out. There is also going to be 1 block high wall openings in the 2 block tall maze. These are for shoot-outs, camping, etc. Not to mention some quick healing or potions :)

The maze tunnels are connected until the reamining ones lead to a square of open land. Finally, that is where people may wait for "prey" to come in, or take the time to heal, regroup, etc.

I'm going to work on this in a Creative world, take pictures, and see if you like them. This is different from every other arena because there is actual strategy to this, in which you hide and camp, just like regular FPS games.

Probably after server sharding we could create a world were premium wouldn't matter? for the arenas?
 
With server sharding we have many new options that we didn't have before. So we'll just need to wait and see what we can and cannot do.
I will, however, keep building arena sugjestions so please keep input comming so I know what the playerbase of Massivecraft wants.
 
How about a volcano arena? The upcoming world Ithania has an amazing volcano that would make a nice arena if worked on.
 
How about a Race conflicting Arena Where agnis can fight maiars so one side is lava, netherack, fire Other side ice, water, snow, and middle is like obsidian :D
 
We really need more "natural" arenas, as in a nice, big spot for settling... big disputes. Faction disputes, empire disputes, etc.

A battlefield, to be concise.

An uncomplicated arena. I didn't go into detail because that's the whole point, there isn't much detail. Just a very simple arena, no obstacles, no traps, just a flat battleground.

along the lines of team deathmatch and ctf arenas, check out this plugin :) idk if its updated or not though. I know there is already warzones, but this one has gamemodes with it :P. just a suggestion.
