Have you considered maybe people are busy?

I think instead of posting this you could make a farewell where people are not suposed to hate? Or just leave... This might sound offensive, but this post littarly contains nothing. Sorry

Both people in this post just re-enforce what he is saying...ironic? I also felt this way sometimes, not the admin parts, but some of the members of the server were just jerks...*coughcough @jemoeder2021 coughcough* that aside it seemed very difficult to find people that were interested in you, and wanted to help. Very few and far between they were

Right. So when he insults the community we are supposed to just agree? Go winge somewhere else.

Sorry for voicing my opinion, how about you stop being such a sorry-*ss about it and take some feed-back. He didn't insult anyone, he simply found and area where it needed improvement and pointed it out. Jeez

I've found that while some admins are slightly mean, they are straightforward, honest, and good at their jobs. All the rest are usually fun, happy, and really good at lightening the mood with their presence.

The community... Basically find a group of friends and stick with those. If you need information, ask them. I've found that the majority of the community rightfully dislike me due to my tendency to act like a rule-Nazi and get all pissy when someone does five backflips and dodges every action thrown in the direction of their character. (I'm also a hypocrite =D)

Basically, what I'm saying is no one, and no thing, is perfect, and in a sense you should just avoid those you believe to be acting against you, or try see where they're coming from. I've done that a few times and made friends from enemies as a result.

Take my words with a grain of salt though, because this is basically "How to be liked" written by "The guy that's really hard to like" x3

Also being a fox wearing a suit helps.

Alright everyone calm da heck down. Theres always two sides to the dang coin. Im sure some people enjoy the community and want to defend it but im also sure there are some people who have encountered issues. Just cause someone voiced his opinion doesnt mean you jump all over it. Now just step away from the post like adults, ignore it, and suck it up butter cup.

He could have always voiced his opinion in a less cocky, more thoughtful way with an actual solution rather than just the problem.

Wait, so pointing out flaws in the other peoples statements is the same as jumping down throats?

Okay.
Well you can keep trying to defend by responding to the post and bumping it to the top or you can walk away and let it die. Which do you think is a better choice?
Before that though I will state my very own opinion. In my experience alot of you tend to shun those who arent good at RP and staff tends to sometimes not listen to my interpretation of things before coming to a verdict. BUT despite those problems I push on and continue to enjoy the server because I have experienced worse. I am here to relax, and thats what I plan to do.

. You ask for help and have people either ignore you or treat you like the dumbest person in the world for not knowing, or groups of people will gang up on you in chat.
Excuse.
I actually try to help people if they ask, or if I notice that they need a push in the right direction, I'll give them a few tips. I only get mean when they started getting rude towards me. :U
I've never ignored a single person. Ever.
~EDIT: If you ever decide to come on or whatnot, shoot me up with a Pm and we can chat~

  1. Calling someone a jerk isn't nice. And well. Here's the /mean/ part of the community, I guess. You're just as bad as the other two.
  2. I know a lot of people that would be interested in you and help you if you just asked. I was in the same position at one time.
  3. There were not 'very few'...

You prove my first point. No need to be rude, or use vulgar language. ^^;

Obvious troll is obvious.
I thought you would know better then to post something like this, Terraria. That comment is a bit rude.

You as well. I understand where you're coming from, however.

If the guy wanted to do this, then lets look over this, and take a step back. Who knows? Maybe he's right.
Just like in art, you don't truly see the whole finished picture until you take a step back, and look on at a distance.

Ok. Personally, the community on this server is the best I have ever seen. Random strangers took me into their factions, showed me everything I needed to know and, when I was ready, I took my first steps into the world on my own. Now, I wish to know the complete circumstances behind this. Did you simply save up 100r and start a faction? Because this, in my opinion, is a bad idea. Always join another, experienced faction to learn the ropes first. Then venture off on your own and maybe even become a sub faction. Did you ask in help chat? Because if so, someone normally answers, if not then that was probably the reason for people not answering your questions. If you just message people asking things, most people are very busy either RolePlaying, doing internal faction matters, or PvPing. So you won't get a concise answer from them. Finally, with your issue of the admins. You may think the admins appear mean, or intolerable of you, or downright ignorant. We all think it at some point, everyone does. But they say everything to the point, they don't waffle around the point, they tell you how it is. And as for ticket creation and resolution, there aren't always a lot of admins on. They are scattered around the globe in many different timezones. Even during peak hours, they will all be busy doing many jobs which take presidence over tickets, and they may not be answered right away, but they will be resolved sooner or later.

I for a fact know many players, myself included, who will take time out of their schedule to walk a new player through the ropes. But for a start, actually reading the information on the website and in game will set you in good stead before you even start.

Sorry you weren't satisfied, you caught the rear-end of the server. Which really bites. I'm not gonna name call, but I want to point out some crap that I see in this thread.

Obvious troll is obvious.
Posting an opinion makes you a troll? He isn't forcing it, he's stating it. That's not a troll, it almost seems your trying to get a reaction out of him, but I'm probably wrong.

Again, this was in his experience not yours. Last time I checked you weren't him. I've heard several complaints from other people that say something along this line.
I agree with you in some ways, try not to curse while saying it though. It'll make you look like the bad person.

And you could have reacted better than jumping down the throat of the first person to defend him. Everyone has an opinion and everyone sees things differently.
I completely agree with you.

The shunning of unexperienced role-players is the WORST thing for role-play. It's what I call elitist role-play, people don't help others learn, thus making the server lose players.

Good on you for helping him out, one of the nicest posts on this thread.

It is true to community is not what it was (Like 1 year and a half ago), but stillother faction servers are not close to to this server, in the other faction servers everyone thinks you're a enemy.
That's why this is the only server I still play on.

Okay so in regards to the first post: It was really late and I was having a bad experience in-game. Reading through this thread I saw a lot of negativity (some of it from me admittedly), but I also saw that sense of community I was asking for. I meant no disrespect and I hope nobody will hold this post against me.
