Biography
The Wodenstaff family is a noble family of Ceardian heritage that settled in the area now known as Naserna, Girobalda around 218. The first titled member was Tallen Wodenstaff, a clever lumber man who could wield an axe in both work and battle. Through cunning and hard work, Tallen expanded his lands and power. The family slowly grew in prominence and wealth with each generation. The family qualities of shrewd judgement, earthy humor, and a lust for life are the most common traits exhibited by family members. The Wodenstaffs rose to power through business intellect, instinctual common sense paired with education, and an easy charm that could entice even the most reticent of men to linger over a pint. The mix of staunch conservative values and progressive business tactics make them an unpredictable source of intrigue to the greater Empire.

The difference between the Wodenstaffs and other proud nobility is that the latter generally trace their aristocratic fathers back generations with pride. The Wodenstaffs original county grant was unremarkably given. A short mention of the bequest in the records during the reign of Allestrain I Ivrae is the only indication that the Wodenstaffs existed prior to 192. This fact, coupled with Tallen Wodenstaff's will of 218 showing he owned immense quantities of mobile wealth, but little land, suggests a man of non-noble birth who had perhaps enriched himself by trade and whose rise to power was, therefore, based on his wealth and opportunism. The Wodenstaffs have fairly clear goals in mind: both on personal, character levels and overarching themes for the family. The members enjoy political, intrigue, and quality levels of roleplay usually associated with nobility. However, a goal of every family member is to include everyday characters, new players and old, within the family schemes. Dedicated to making interactions with nobility accessible to all players, our approach to a good percentage of our roleplay is a form of street theater. Providing passersby an opportunity to get involved in a scene and make connections. We continually discuss and come up with ways to be more engaging, include as many people who want in on a scene as possible, and generally do things that can appeal to a broad range of the player base. From soap opera storylines, occasionally silliness, and a hint of danger – the Wodenstaffs are knocking at the gates.

The Wodenstaffs are known for their eclectic characters. The family purposefully hides their true motives well. The current generation has transitioned from newcomers to entrenched actors in politics and the workings of the empire – the struggle and strife that comes from social and political climbing are encouraged to be public, and fun storylines that can draw people in. This family can be brutal, calculating, and charming. Our characters are all unapologetically a little odd, a little crude, a little shocking on the surface. Every family member has a ferocious drive underneath their personality quirks that makes itself known as plots develop.

The third of his father's three boys, the roguish hunter. In his childhood, he spent his days playing tricks and fooling around, though while his family name began to fall, he made it his all to put a meal on the table with his hunting. Always the one to bring a smile in the darkest days, he's been struggling to keep his head up since he left with Halvar and Rollo to Fendarfell in hopes of earning back their fortune.​

Andromeda Wodenstaff, the youngest daughter of Vidar grew up in Fendarfell. After she had become of age to be married she was sent off to live with Sigurna Wodenstaff. Now it is up to Sigurna and her sisters to marry the young woman off, but in the mean time she will be causing trouble with boys in regalia. The young woman's features are regular to the common traits of the family. Long black hair, though curly, is often straightened when wet. Long black eyelashes that frame her large blue eyes. Her face filled with soft features though her attitude can be more than mild. Her height is 5'3", she has a thin frame with larger hips and a average breasts. She seeks to become someone like Sigurna. A very.. Modest woman. Last but not least Sylvi has a very mature attitude towards most things. Often finding herself lost in books or painting pictures of scenery.

Sylvi's Woodenstaff is the youngest of Vidar's children, and it was her father Vidar she became particularly close to within her teen years. Although Sylvi's father knew she didn't want to marry so soon, he wanted the best for her but convincing her would seem very difficult. Sylvi's brother Rangvald Woodenstaff was also very keen for her to marry, but he also realised it wasn't going to be easy due to Sylvi's flirty and seductive manner. However due to all the pressure her family was giving her it didn't exactly help with her flirty ways. Sylvi's holds beautiful budding eyes, surrounded by her charcoal like locks. Sylvi enjoys wearing dark red and burgundy gowns, because of course dark reds represents love. Sylvi's natural dramatic long lashes are one of her boldest features,which she has inherited from her mother Skadi Woodenstaff who also beholds many beautiful features. She has average breasts and a height of 5'4 and of course she has delicate feminine hands. When Sylvi isn't flirting with the fellow men in the tavern, she enjoys to examine nature and sketch different species of newly sprouting buds and gnarly twisted trees.

Ophelia is thrice widowed woman with three young children. Eldest daughter of Viveca Wodensraff, she was raised strictly and groomed to be a wife. Sharp minded and in apperance, she favors practical dark dresses. She stands no taller the 5'5 and her body is of average build with no particular suggestion she possesses any great strength. Her dark hair is often pulled back as not to hide her best feature. Her eyes, which are a pale green color. Halvar Wodenstaff is something of a ponce. A Daen to be sure, given his dark eyes and hair, but a ponce all the same. Tall and slender, he is unimposing, his tendency to wear bright, flashy colors leads to an almost effeminate appearance. Flamboyant, emotional, and avaricious, he is certainly no stoic and valiant knight. He is no great and valorous warrior come to sweep away the evils of the world with the swing of his sword. He is no zealous crusader who fights battle after battle with zeal. Rather, Halvar is the scheming merchant, the haggling businessman. He is the speaker and debater, a man who puts more stock in coin and contracts than in steel.

Torbin Wodenstaff is the youngest of him and his siblings, though doesn't allow them to treat him as such. Having pasive-aggressive atitued it's sometimes hard to connect or conversed with him. Other than that his apparel mimics Halvar's srtictly, wear a various amount of bright/colourful garments. His dark hair and bright eyes give nice contrast that blends well together with his clothing. Torbin is a very elegant figure who strives to be more profetional than others in his behavior and mind set. His he gets from his mother. His relationship with his siblings are strong and aligned well, more so with sigura and Halvar than the others.

Rangvald is clearly a man of Daenshore, with dark features, save for his pale skin. Although practical and grounded, he has a great appreciation for unique celebrations and traditions. His short and thin stature is made up for his personality, equipping himself with a good amount of sass and sarcasm. Of course, he refuses to be any less of a man and partakes in a number of stereotypical masculine activities. Hunting, sparring, and even carpentry are among his favorite hobbies, but he also prefers more social activities, with a not-so secret passion for playing the matchmaker. Having mainly focused on his studies until recently, Rangvald is admittedly unsure of exactly what to do with himself, with his primary goal upon arriving in Regalia being 'climbing the social ladder'.

Rangvald is clearly a man of Daenshore, with dark features, save for his pale skin. Although practical and grounded, he has a great appreciation for unique celebrations and traditions. His short and thin stature is made up for his personality, equipping himself with a good amount of sass and sarcasm. Of course, he refuses to be any less of a man and partakes in a number of stereotypical masculine activities. Hunting, sparring, and even carpentry are among his favorite hobbies, but he also prefers more social activities, with a not-so secret passion for playing the matchmaker. Having mainly focused on his studies until recently, Rangvald is admittedly unsure of exactly what to do with himself, with his primary goal upon arriving in Regalia being 'climbing the social ladder'.

Bio:

Sylvi Wodenstaff is Vidar's and Skadi's youngest and only daughter. Growing up, Sylvi was quite sheltered; she was not exposed to much of the world and lacked knowledge about what it could hold for her. Her parents kept her quite sheltered due to her reckless and rambunctious behaviour. In other words, She was quite hard to control, keeping her at home and close to the family seemed to be the best option.

As Sylvi grew older, her parents had no other choice but to loosen the reigns, she was not going to be their little girl forever. Sylvi's features are considered to be quite "perfect" consisting of her long raven black hair, her pale completion, and her forest green eyes. Sylvi quickly caught the attention of many suiters in Regalia when she was given freedom from her parents; she did not mind this at all. She was finally given freedom, finally given the chance to make her own path, why shouldn't she have a little fun on the way?​

Oldest daughter to Vidar and Skadia Wodenstaff, younger sister to Rangvald, and older sister to Thyra, Sylvi has been the black sheep of the family her whole life. She grew up being quite unladylike, tossing her shoes and running off outside whenever she got the chance. This clearly caused many punishments for her, which the girl ignored. In her teens, Syl began to sober up about how her life would truly play out. The Ailor realized that she had a reputation to upkeep and a family to make proud. This shift caused her to become the lady that she was expected to be; mostly. She often found ways to work around such a 'dull' lifestyle, as she viewed it. The woman began to flirt with anyone she saw fit, men and women.

Sylvi isn't quite the skinniest girl in Regalia, though she couldn't be explained as overweight or unhealthy at all. The Ailor has the signature dark hair and green eyes, as all Wodenstaffs do. Her hair is long and wavy, but it can be a little bit frizzy sometimes. She has very nice teeth, which she loves to show off with every large smile. Her nose is straight and thin.

I honestly don't know why it is spinning so fast...

Sylvi is a young adult just hitting her twentieth birthday. Every since she was young she started to believe her name meant c'est la vie, the ithanian saying for such is life. With confidence in each step she is quite a flirt living each day to the fullest trying her hardest to show of her family roots to the world as well. She adores her younger cousins and gives 'life advice' almost daily.

When she turned sixteen the girl found her old blondish brown hair getting rather boring and instead dyed it fully blond to stand out among crowds. Over all she is a very lovely girl that is just happy to be alive and breathing. Still when it comes down to female rivalry most will see the snide side of her come out.

Skadi Wodenstaff is very aware of her surroundings. When someone approaches her she likes to study them while they talk. She is very protective to her children and everyone in her family. he loves to keep up with the latest news about Regalia so she knows if a criminal approaches her or her children she would know that they are dangerous in her family. Skadi is a very pretty woman. She has brown hair and always wears dresses. Her hair is very long so she puts it down often. Her faces is flawless and she wears little makeup. She wears black heels often and a red dress. People call her The Watcher because she is protective. She has a pretty good reputation around the city and is very nice to be around. She has a sense of humor and loves to socialize with other people.
