Family History
There isn't much progression and past history of House Marais. The Matriarch, Fleur Aimee Marais, was once a member of House Delmotte, an Ithanian family settled in La Cresse. Following a dispute between the siblings, Fleur and Louis, the woman decided it would benefit her sanity to gain independence and make a name for herself without the leaching of her siblings or cousins. Although the newfounded house has no qualms with the matriarch's previous, original family, they wish to create a name for themselves under a fresh surname. Such a split is seen as an opportunity, a fresh slate for the once-Delmotte now-Marais matriarch.
With a Spirit-gifted hand in the art of jewelry making, House Marais is far from unknown. Such a trade wields copious wealth that allows the family to progress and live comfortably without a hint of poverty in their midst. Almost every month yields a trendsetting design that the peerage of Regalia take amiability to, productivity is the most revered value of House Marais. Founded on independence and the values of Priscelle Unionism, the women of the family aim for positions suitable for their intellect and abilities alongside finding themselves engrossed in manners of trade in their acquired land.
