Π Legends of the Himura Π

Ever since the beginning of the Wulong-Chi'en-Ji wars amongst the Yang-Tzu Isles, the Himuras were always prevalent, though unrecognized and scattered throughout. Amidst not only in the conflict against the Wulongs, the Himuras were also in disagreement between the three other prominent families throughout the Yang-Tzu Isles: the Igarashi, Chigusa, and the Ashiro. Originating from an argument pertaining the colors of a particular outfit, the civil war raged on for many years as the countryside stained blood-red; the cries of the people a chorus echoing through the great mountains. Although amid the rolling clouds of violence rose a young child, Kazuo, who resolved himself to the ending of the family bloodshed and to bring peace among the Yang-Tzu.
Perched atop the mountaintop, he called out to those below him - willing them to listen. Coiled around his arm was an emerald green snake, and glowing above, a golden lotus was held. Extending his arm towards the skies, he spoke of peace and resolution; the stars shone bright above them as the objects he held symbolized the harmony the families should possess. Thunderous roars from above shook the islands on which they all stood, and with it the clanging of steel on battered ground. As the sun rose behind him, the Isles were quiet once more.

Π History of House Himura Π
"Little is known about our past, though don't trust the scrolls"
Through these centuries of peace, the Himuras grew to becoming known for their medical and herbal practices, specializing and influencing the rise in light magic throughout the Yang-Tzu, though they also focused greatly on more traditional healing techniques. Clinics soon spread across the Isles, further gaining a reputation for themselves and soon enough facilitating a huge portion of the ingredient trade, working closely with the other families to insure they were the most influential in their field. Soon enough, the great family broke into two as the influx in ingredients sparked an interest in the art of tea making. Though around 270AC there was a shift as the Himuras were forced to result in the underground trafficking of alchemical supplies, forming an off-shoot branch of the family known as "The Poison Rose". Though their motivations were moral, it painted the view that perhaps the great family weren't so pure as originally thought, with a much darker picture underneath. Nonetheless, they grew more popular, accumulating enough wealth to relocate to Regalia at around 297AC to spread their influences at the heart of the world.
Thus, a new chapter in the Himura family began. Having practicing their medical practices in such a good time, they soon grew popular amongst the commoners of Regalia. Their wealth continued to grow, and after once saving the lives of nobility, they were soon entitled with Barony, granted due to their positive influence in the community. Because of this, the Himuras soon grew ambitious, aspiring to gain more influential titles and to continue growing their fame and prestige throughout this new world. To obtain these higher powers, they resolved to the partaking of many events, noble or not, and even hosting some themselves. The obsession to bringing honor and reputation to the family as their ancestors once had done drives them forwards to this day.

Mental Characteristics:
Several mental traits have surfaced throughout the Himura family. They usually can be rather impatient with things - may it be waiting for someone to wanting to get something done quickly. They are also known for their self-pride as a person and as a whole family, standing by their family as long as they are trusted and tending to be quite loyal to those with strong connections. However, some within the family have been known to be quite malicious and have had sociopathic tendencies, as some of the family members were in the past. The sociopathic tendencies are a rare occurrence throughout the family however, and they are being shown less throughout the recent years, perhaps due to the migration to Regalia. Another trait that has been passed down throughout the generations happens to be they are quite the leader type, always having a sense of respect that they give to themselves and others that are deemed worthy. They tend to have a rather loyal sense of respect towards others, always honoring their words or comments as well as being quite cold and ill-mannered to those that insult their loved ones and close friends. Though some members have their own distinct characteristics, these still are represented throughout the family.

[Mainline Himura Family]
Raiden Himura (Male, 73) Being the grandfather, he maintains a significant influence in the family business and is in charge of the Jade Dragon Tea Shop. He is known for being rather stern yet wise towards the others in the family and has a rather high look on those in the mainline. *Note, this character is being held in high regard, reserved for a very experienced role-player. Takahiro Himura (Male, 50) Father of three, his wife was Aika Himura and his brother was Hiraku Himura. Takahiro ran the family medical practice and business before being attacked and murdered by an unknown in Regalia. Since then, the medicine branch of the family has wavered significantly though his brother strives to change that though with more different approaches.
Aika Himura (Female, 44) (@CthulhuPulu) Wife to Takahiro Himura, she's a mother of three widely known as a caring mother however with recent tensions throughout the family she has become rather cold and untrusting - even to her own sons and daughter. She wasn't quite the same ever since her husband was killed.
Tetsuo Himura (Male, 30) (@Nesstro) The eldest son of Takahiro and Aika. He assists his father in the family medical practice as well as managing the family business. He's also the current owner of the underground alchemic group known as the Poison Rose.
Ryoko Himura (Female, 23) (@Angelus_Sai) Currently the matriarch of the Himura Family, she's the daughter of Takahiro and Aika. She helps manage the family tea chains as well as being involved with the family business as a whole along with Tetsuo. She's currently striving to establish a title for herself, and is currently the best candidate to becoming something greater. Character Application
Hiroaki Himura (Male, 19) (@AgentSmall) Being the youngest son of Takahiro and Aika, he is treasured by his elder siblings however with family tensions arising, he has become rather distant and ill-mannered towards his mother. Though seen by many as somewhat immature, he's destined to become the next great influence in managing the businesses of the family. Character Application
[Himura-Takano Secondary Line]
Hiraku Himura (Male, 46) (@Hatchworth) Being the younger brother of Takahiro, he's been very influential and connected to the mainline family, supporting his brother and their joint endeavors as leaders of the medical practices - though often unnoticed. Following his brother's death, Hiraku travelled to the countryside and was absent for many months, only now coming back to Regalia. He's also a tap-dancing extraordinaire.Kiyoko Takano-Himura (Female, 42) Wife to Hiraku Himura, she was one of the many influential people in his life which changed him for the better. She's the mother of two children, Ren and Mai Himura, and although she made it her life's mission to raise her children and care for her family, she was killed by the Bone Horrors. This, along with his brother's untimely death, forced Hiraku to leave Regalia back to the Isles for some unknown reason.
Ren Himura (Male, 18) (@Myujin) The son of Hiraku and Kiyoko Tanano, he often gets into complications between his sister, Megumi Himura. Although generally being a nuisance and being troublesome, he has grown to become more respectful and responsible during these recent times, with him coming of age. He would nonetheless keep his sister in line whenever he deems it needed.
Megumi Himura (Female, 16) (@flareskies) The daughter of Hiraku and Kiyoko Tanano, she is often characterized as being overly sarcastic and a narcissist, often talking out of line and gloating over her successes. She constantly butt heads with Ren, as she is the rebellious one of the bunch. She is often under heavy surveillance when she is not with her parents due to her spitfire nature.
[Ashiro-Himura Fifth Line]
Saki Ashiro (Female, 34) (@uhgly) The sister of Aika Himura as well as the daughter of Saburo Ashiro. The family's very own boozy and boisterous aunt. Loves to mingle in the tavern as well as socializing with many others. Although somewhat distant from the mainline, she still keeps in touch along with her family through her. She would often be seen lingering throughout the various social hot-spots of Regalia.
Daiki Ashiro (Male, 40) The eldest son, he is very indulgent in women, booze, and money, often meddling with all of those at once. Though he insists he is "deeply and madly in love" with his wife, Akiko Ashiro, he's very prone to cheating on her and oftentimes lingering around brothels and other taverns. He has one confirmed illegitimate heir, Masura, who struggles to gain the family's trust and respect, even with his own father.
Akiko (Fujimara) Ashiro (Female, 40) The current wife of Daiki. She has taken he leadership role in guiding her family as she sees her husband as an "unfaithful whelp" who enjoys liquor and other women more than his own wife and family members, including his son which he is neutral about. Though daiki has professed his unconditional love for her on numerous occasions, Akiko keeps a tight leash on him out of distrust.
Masura Ashiro-Himura (Male, 20) Being the bastard son of Daiki and a streetwalker, he has been adopted into the mainline family. He is very spiteful towards his father and strives for rightful recognition as a member of the Ashiro family, despite being the bastard child which has had many of the family members have a distaste for him. Even still, he doesn't consider himself much of a Himura, deciding to rather be considered an Ashiro.
Ryoichi Ashiro (Male, 18) Eldest son of Daiki and Akiko. The more stern of his siblings and friends, he despises his little sister despite her only being a child. He tends to have an air of "I'm better than you and I know it." Though, his story has yet to be told.
Mai Himura (Female, 9) The daughter of Daiki and Akiko, she's the youngest of her siblings. Her story has yet to be told.
