[House Anthem] [Family Tree]
The de Piedmont family primarily began as grape farmers in the Ithanian countryside, not yet well-known for their material wealth or maritime trading. While their homestead had access to the sea, their income could only afford them rent for other captains looking to transport goods for a price. Inevitably the family did rise through the wealth bracket, as the demand for wine in Ithanian taverns created large profit margins for the fledgling family.
Soon, their enterprise grew to a wealthy merchant business, with the family now engaging in a very prosperous trade venture. These years were known as the founding years for the Piedmont trading company, an entity founded by Lyon de Piedmont who was patriarch at the time. As business steadily increased, Lyon expanded his family ventures beyond grape farming and to sea trading, where he established the company as a business to business broker.
Lyon eventually passed the business down to his son Maximilien, after his son had returned from the east to join the family business. Maximilien expanded the company by bringing in skilled ship captains to assist in transporting their goods across the seas, attracting wealthy benefactors among the commoner and merchant classes. Soon after establishing his business in Ithania the man moved family that wished to flee Ithania with him to Osteiermark. Aside from the company, Maximilien had five young children and a wife to tend to.
During their childhoods, the children were well taken care of. To ensure that each of his children would be able to lead successful lives, Maximilien trained each child to a certain strength with little regard to their interest in the subject, while still leaving room for them to enjoy hobbies. Eventually, Maximilien would move the business to the City of Regalia to allow more business opportunities. While the company continued to grow, the de Piedmont family began to flock towards Regalia.
Unfortunately, Maximilien would face an untimely death shortly after establishing a name for the company in the city, which resulted in his eldest alive kin, Violetta, taking over as the matriarch and owner of the family businesses.
Men in House de Piedmont are typically between 5'7 and 6' in terms of height, and have rather slender builds. They are not typically known to be bulky or wide in frame, though very rare exceptions apply. Their hair colors are typically black or really dark brown, and are almost never blonde. Eye colors range from deep greens to blues, and typically don't feature any variation outside of the two. Nose size is rather small comparatively, and the same applies to their ears and lips. Their skin tone is usually pale with green undertones however can become tan with rare exceptions.
Women in House de Piedmont often reach heights between 5'2 and 5'6, with few exceptions. Like the men, they feature more slender builds, and are never known for their wide frame. Hair colors for de Piedmont women are known to vary between light brown, dark brown, and black, except for one branch. The women have similar noses and ears to that of the men, with little variation. De Piedmont women are very well known to wear imperial fashion, and flaunt it with little care for avoiding pride among their peers. Women have similar skin tones to men, however have red or pink undertones and are never tan.

Anne de Piedmont | 25 | Played | Daughter | Second eldest and second hand to her older sister, Anne is often overlooked as a figure of beauty, despite her intelligent mind and tactical thinking skills. Noelle de Piedmont | 24 | Played | Daughter | The middle child of the family, Noelle is often the peacemaker between family conflict. She is often described as a compassionate and caring woman, and is always seeking to help in any area possible. @Depressed_Bean

He is a heart throb to the young maidens who often fall for his charming personality and good looks. While he is well-mannered and pleasant to be around, he is often stubborn in his beliefs and is not afraid to disagree with opinions that differ from his own.

Piedmont Trading Company | Full Ownership | A trading company that specializes in the business to business transactions, the Piedmont trading company has been in the de Piedmont family for many generations. This is by far the pride and joy of the family, but not many members find themselves a position within the business.
Piedmont Winery | Full Ownership | A Winery made by Violetta de Piedmont, selling most types of wine, randing from sweet fruity ones to sours. This is by far one of the most popular Piedmont companies and only Violetta finds herself within the Business.
Piedmont Floral | Full Ownership | A flower shop within the midst of Regalia, not only arranging flowers but also helps try to terraform [small] areas. Owned by Noelle de Piedmont, has only recently been around.
Rules
- Acceptance is determined based off of many factors including competency in the application process, and preceding player history. We expect maturity among every player who applies to the family.
- House de Piedmont biology should be followed when designing a character for the family. There is little room for exceptions in that regard. For guidelines, consult regal culture height limits and the thread for appropriate inputs.
- Activity is a requirement, but we are lenient in the case that real life comes in the way.
- While I am not in favor of railroading roleplay in any way, some measure of loyalty and respect for the family lore is requested. If you have character developments you wish to go through with, speak with one of the current heads of the family so we can accommodate .
- If you would like to be an in roleplay adopted Piedmont we require at least a few months of roleplaying within the family along with two family played references.
- You must have a discord so we can communicate, especially if you are applying for a Family member.
Ejection/Rejection
If you have been ejected/rejected from the family but would still like to roleplay a family member here is what you can do. Some rejects will be because they didn't quite play the character that was set qualities, we will talk to you out of character first and see what we can do.
Rejections | You can re-trial for a different character but not the same. If you where rejected for behavioral or generally ooc problems do not expect to be accepted for a trial easily. If you where rejected for not being able to fit the niche of the character you are allowed to create a character to trial with or find another best suited for your type of roleplay.
Ejections | Best way to come back is to roleplay with the family more and to try to talk to Violetta/Anne. If you are ejected we will let you know or give a heads out of character in case what happened was unintentional.
Applying for a character that was once played?
Two of our current main line groups had original owners who have left massive completely, I got their permission to put them back up on the tree. If something like this happens once more and you wish to trial be ready for me to dm you over discord large portions of what they did/what has happened with them. If you are applying for a character who was once trialed before hand it is up to you if you would like to continue their path or if youd like to start anew.
Family backstory?
Every Piedmont that has been created has their own story or their own set goals (which is completely normal) However when on trial I would recommend to read over the Imperial culture and Ithanian culture wiki page. Once accepted you'll be able to read the whole Piedmont family backstory, do be warned as of right now it is not finished (currently in the middle of re-writting ahhh).
