I suppose an introduction is long overdue. My story is fairly uninteresting, boring, unentertaining; you can call it about any of these words and their respective synonyms. To be frank, I haven't really done anything of consequence on Massive other than exist, nevertheless this is my story.

The Start

I am a fairly old player, although my playtime has only picked up over the last year after a three year break. I was brought to Massive by Ninjahawk44. He pitched the server to me so well you would have thought he was being paid to make the glowing comments he made. After countless shameless promotions from Ninja, I had no choice but to see what the fuss was about. I was rather confused in the beginning despite having an experienced player trying his hardest to guide and sell Massive's vision to me. Jumping from a normal factions server to Massive was like going from pre-algebra to calculus, or going from a fourth grade earth science course to organic chemistry. I was completely lost and immediately turned off by how different everything was, but I enjoyed the challenge of learning a completely new way of playing factions. I joined Byzenya with my friends, and it really impressed me. Never before had I seen a city that felt so cohesive, well-planned, and expertly designed. I met some others who I forget now, but I do remember how they were wonderful to be around. It really felt like a community worth staying around, but I left for another server with Ninjahawk44 for, what was at the time, greener and more fulfilling pastures.

I accomplished quite a lot between the time I left the server and the time I decided to return, so I will only cover the highlights. I started teaching myself and training in various aspects of the game on the server I migrated to. I slowly learned how to be an effective PvPer while also learning how to build in the medieval style. As I matured and became a more advanced player, I earned myself a spot on the staff team on said server. During my time as staff, it was averaging 330+ players, and I spent a total of a year serving the staff team before resigning to focus my time elsewhere. I was also accepted onto a prestigious build team called Team Elite, but I quickly realized I did not have the required amount of availability needed to be effective enough at the job. I resigned to focus more on PvP rather than building because it would require less time dedicated to the game. I became quite good at PvP, but my interest in the game began to wane. I took an eight month hiatus, and it didn't look like I would touch the game ever again.

Low and behold I stumble back onto Massive three years later for nostalgias sake to find Maytee as an officer in Wyvern. We had met on another small survival server years before. We reconnected after a year or two of not talking at all, and he invited me to join him and his friends. I would get resources, help in fights, and do whatever to pass the time. When he left Wyvern for Valorian, I followed and became an active member there until I gathered up enough regals to start Meridianis. I've been back playing for around a year or so. The community still has that off-white feeling that is rare to find nowadays. I hope to continue playing for a bit longer until the game finally is exhausted in my eyes.
Cheers,
