Ludwig Fuchs led the second army to start a distraction move on the lands of Saruhanna's eastern shore. Unfortunately for them, they ran into Aliyah Allaslaha's army that was completely led by female officers, and also happened to be the same size roughly as the Regalian army. The two sides formed up two fight one another. The skirmish was fast and quickly over, allowing the armies to fully clash head on against each other.

Harald Fuchs fought Aqtil Bissura in the field while their troops matched, guided by the tactical hand of Piero di Orazio. While Harald Fuchs fought competently, and his tactician did everything by the book, the army lost nearly half their troops to a trick played by Aqtil. Aqtil had a group of fire mages roast the Regalian troops alive, wiping out half the force in a matter of minutes. Edward Dyrticia and Tulir Avaladür managed to avoid getting wounded, though Cain Rawood was stabbed in the stomach by a sword, hurried off the field as the left flank collapsed.

On the right flank, Leah Kade fought Lottrah Qurinah supported by Ren Fong. The battle between Leah and her adversary went much more traditionally. Yet, the battle turned when the central column started failing. Tristan had engaged Jalilah Tras-Lahi, the infamous chain queen of the Saruhannan army. Tristan attempted to engage the enemy officer, but was badly slashed on his leg with her bladed chain. As he collapsed onto the floor, it sent Cedric Kade into a battle rage that had not been seen before in this army, Qadir falling left and right to dagger and arming sword. Jared Silverhand attempted to fight Jalilah himself, but was overcome by her pure skill in combat, the blades slicing at his arms, agitating old wounds. Tristan, despite being crippled, dragged Jared off the field while Rhoghash Ironmonger continued on with Cedric, occasionally grabbing him and tossing him into the enemy lines like a little spiked ball.

When Leah Kade saw her husband get struck, and heard of the left flank failing, she called for a retreat to conserve troops, despite the fact that the central column had been won, and her performance was decent, as well as that of her retinues Kemion Alvaris and Charles Handorian. Maciel Castanara specifically played his part well, guiding many Regalian soldiers back to safety as he held off the Qadir most skillfully.

In the central column, Cedric Kade and Rhoghash Ironmonger meanwhile continued the fight, even pressing beyond the retreating Qadir into the two other columns that were now descending upon them. Cedric once again caused panic around him in the Qadir lines by jolting around with rabid stabs and jabs. Rhoghash was unfortunately falling behind, as he already started noticing that Cedric had gotten too far into the enemy lines. Rhoghash retreated as a spear wall of Qadir lancers circled around Cedric, the horses causing him to hesitate and slow down for the trauma he received in the last battle from a horse's kick. Eventually he was fully surrounded with spears aimed at him, and in distant sight of his sister and the other retreating troops, threw his helmet and his weapons on the ground in surrender and sat down on the sand.

Back in Regalia, the panic was now complete in unison with the last disaster with Ulric Typhonus. A war that otherwise seemed to be on the winning side for Regalia had suddenly taken a nosedive, wounding the first army commander and capturing a Prince of the Empire. Qadir emissaries made their way to the Imperial court to negotiate a truce, it was quite evident that they intended to use the Imperial Prince as a bartering chip to force Regalia out of the war. The Prince was meanwhile shipped off to Qadiriyye, the capital, where he would spend his days in captivity in the Imperial palace with the Pashah of Farah'deen. Ludwig Fuchs was immediately recalled from being made First army Commander, commissioned to the third army, a token scouting force, while von Treppewitz was made First army leader, and Ulric was asked to provide a commander replacement for the second army. The court remained otherwise utterly quiet.

Ludwig Theodor Fuchs
Of course. For the first time during the Hadravian War, he does not participate in the battle himself, and then a catastrophe like this happens. It's like he has to do everything himself, or at least that's what he thinks. He hoped this to be an easy and swift victory. He expected a small, weak army. That is what the report said. And not an army on an even level, being lead by crazy brown skinned dominatrixes. That kind of women he dislikes most. He saw himself forced to cancel everything he planned for later. Kama'l and Christopher will hate to hear that they won't get a chance for treasure hunting in the ancient Qadir temples, but they would understand. He wasn't really in the mood to get possibly torn apart by the sand ghosts Kama'l told him about, anyway. Of course something just had to go wrong, with all his previous luck. Better not disappoint the court again. Clouded by all of these thoughts, he sighs desperately, facing the ground with his hands on the back of his head.

"Once this war is over, I can finally just go back to selling houses instead."

Leah, for obvious reasons, had been lingering by the healers on the journey home. Her heart was several times broken, as chilling fear for her brother as well as her husband was getting the better of her nerves. This time, however, she wasn't bouncing back. She switched between crying, cursing, snapping, anything to express an entire array of emotions which was hard to exactly pin down. After yet another bought of heat-sickness... or was it sea-sickness? She forgot what she'd been telling people about her frequent nausea. In any case, a friendly older woman had offered her water and a cool towel.

"Lampero's wife then, are ye?" the old woman smiled, glancing down to Leah's stomach periodically.

"Ja. How is he-"

"Oh, he'll be fine, fine, soon enough," the woman seemed to look at Leah with a strange expression. "Still sick, dearie?" Leah nodded, and finally, as the woman once again looked down to her stomach, the duchess's eyes widened considerably.

"I need a favor from you, ma'am," she grabbed the elderly doctor woman and dragged her to a private room, where her suspicions were to be confirmed. Leah swore the woman to secrecy, combining a bit of bribery with a little threat. Cedric was captured and she was clinging at this time to the meager hope that she might be able to help in saving him. To do that, she'd have to keep her condition secret for now, or there was no way she'd be allowed to continue fighting. Besides... things looked bleak, and she couldn't imagine bringing up pregnancy in the midst of this chaos.

Kemion pondered on the battle and it's total outcome. His own performance was decent, maybe not as good as he wanted it, but it was an improvement from his past failures. He went off during the siege of the fort, and his tactician skills were awful during the counter siege. This was not the soldier he was at Hadar, it was time he worked up his training. He went over to one of the practice dummies and began hacking. Then, from pondering the failures and turn of events in this war, he flew into a rage, slashing at the dummy until it was a pile of cloth and hay.

The elf looked over at the cot beside him, as healers tended to Tristan. Looking down at his own arms, Jared couldn't help but smile, regardless of all the trials that had smashed upon he and his allies. The sheer skill of Jalilah was a sight to behold, and as their respective weapons had clashed and spun, he felt a true joy; what a challenge she had been. The healers set about to mending his sliced arms, bandaging them up as he closed his eyes, lost in thought.

His training had failed him. He had failed as a House Guard and a friend to the Lampero, and now a Prince of Regalia was in enemy hands. Yet the elf smiled; he would train even harder, heal fully, and return to war, for truly the city had no other options but to keep the fight on. And, he promised as he felt the sting in his wounded arms, he would clash with Jalilah again, without his rage; he would best her in skill alone.

"Take heart me friend" he said to Tristan, as healers rushed about the place. "We're ta' see glory yet."

We really need an immediate impacts thing

Like the only people who actively know of all of these characters, or are connected to them in any way are nobles, or people rping regularly with many nobles.

Like no one can use these without rping with nobles, as that would not really be compliant.
wat.

-Raises hand-
What does this terrain look like? Is it a desolate wasteland of shifting sand? Or is the ground sturdy? ^^; I'm... Dumb. Apologies.

-reads this-
-slams face on table repeatedly-
WHEN WILL WE REALIZE THAT THEY USE MAGES
WHEN WILL WE FIGURE OUT THAT "by the book" DOESNT WORK IN THESE SITUATIONS
THIS IS WHY WE ARE LOSING
